Lockscreen sound changed? - Samsung Mesmerize

Just recently my phone started doing an loud sound when unlocking. I can't find the option to disable it. I've found TW_Unlock_Glass.ogg and TW_Unlock_Puzzle.ogg and they both sound like a little click but the sound I have when unlocking the screen is horribly loud.

[Q] How to remove unlock sound?

Is there a way to remove the unlock sound? I'm using Humble 1.62. In headphones the unlock sound always rings so loud making me cringe a bit. Even on low volumes. Really annoying when it pierces through my music as it is always louder than whatever else is playing.

I'm not sure if its in Humble but there should be an option in sound settings to turn off screen unlock sound, other than that you could try turning down 'system' volume in volume settings though it will also quiet any bootup/shutdown sounds
blazing through on my 4G Droid Charge

volume low first then gets loud

Hey all,
I've had my tbolt since Jan. I've noticed that, if the phone is idle for a while... and i get a notification or I unlock the phone.. the first sound the phone makes the volume sounds like it's at 50%. Every sound after that is at full volume.
Is this a "feature" of GB? It happens with any ROM i run.
I've read other threads at other sites saying the quiet ringer --> loud ringer is a "feature" in GB... but i'm talking more specifically to the lock sound, or a notification. the first sound being low then all others being full volume.
Have not seen that one dude, thats strange

I found the exact same problem with the HTC desire..
it's the initial sound the phone makes. (unlock sound off), unlock phone, go to settings->sounds->notifications and select a tone. listen to it carefully. after it plays play the tone again and you will (may) notice the sound is louder the second time. It has to be the first sound the phone makes.

but i'm assuming there isn't a fix for it..

Plausible to get Notification sounds from both speakers?

Anyone figure out how to use both speakers for notifications? It's driving me crazy having only 1 speaker play the sound when I receive a text. I don't understand why they play from both speakers when you select a notification sound/ringtone, but it only plays from one speaker when you actually get a text/notification.

Yes, however I am sure root will be required. There is a ring tone from both speakers thread under android development
Not only does it just play from one speaker, it's extremely quiet.
With the volume all the way up, it's probably equal to my M8 being 2 clicks up.
Between the volume and the vibration being weak, I could definitely miss a text/email.
Although I don't mind the vibration, the vibrate on my M8 would scare me at night on my wood night stand. Lol
Tell me about it, my dads M8 is like a banshee. My dad left his M8 in a drawer one floor up, and you could hear the vibration one floor down, though faint at that distance.
For me the Z3 is loud enough, even the vibration though a stark contrast to the M8.
I've found that finding the right ringtones and notifications are the way to go. I have loud tones selected, ie. loud sounding sounds, and they are plenty loud enough. The quality on the other hand would be much better through both speakers.

Extremely Low Volume Ringer and Sounds After 5/25/2017 G920VVRS4DQE1 Update

The title says it all: Extremely Low Volume Ringer and Sounds After 5/25/2017 G920VVRS4DQE1 Update.
When I go into settings to set my ringer and notification volumes, I set all the way up and can just barely hear.
Cannot hear music playing through phone speaker anymore - volume too low. Anyone else seeing this?

Pixel 5 has great speakers...

...but Google screwed up by giving it a wrong sound profile. Hear me out.
If you have YT music or Spotify linked to your alarm ringtone, play a song with the alarm volume at max, then try playing the same song in Spotify.
It sounds MUCH better in the alarm, I guess because it's only using the bottom firing speaker and doesn't need to account for the top one?
But then once you turn down a level in the alarm volume, the mids suddenly drop more than it should, probably expecting the top speaker to help but never got it.
I suggest Google just disable the wonky sound profile and use the bottom speaker only for media. Cuts the stereo speaker feature (which already sounds ****ty), but gives us better sound quality.
I agree that it could easily sound better. It reminds me of exactly what an iPhone sounds like. It has a weird hollow "clunk" sound (I'm guessing it's some dsp trick) when it's trying to play a bass thump. The bottom speaker is clearly missing treble which I'm guessing they figured the screen speaker would make up for. I think they should just make the bottom play the full spectrum and then it would sound fine. I guess one of the eq apps could help out with that too.
What is this nasty screen unlock sound. Sounds atrocious
