[Q] Can I unlock my Samsung vibrant T959 JI6 using SGS Unlock PRO? - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I have Samsung Vibrant T959 which is currently locked to T Mobile.
Can I unlock it using SGS Unlock PRO?
If I follow the instructions on xda-developers thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761045
[REF] How to unlock/unfreeze all SGS Models [NOW WORKS ON JI6+][Updated 1-3-11]
Will I be able to unlock my phone with paid SGS Unlock Pro app?
Below are my phone details:
Model No:SGH-T959
Firmware Version:2.1-update1
Baseband Version:T959UVJI6
Kernel Version:2.6.29
Build Number:ECLAIR.UVJI6

Search "Vibrant unlock pro" he said..

Thanks,
I think both are the same app.
Vibrant unlock pro and SGS Unlock.
i am also using one click root for samsung galaxy..
hope that is file for rooting ...

Rooting and unlocking is different
And you probably need to root before unlocking
Root is to gain admin access (in windows terminology)
and
unlock is to allow you to use SIM cards which you aren't supposedly allowed to
hope that helped.

Thanks,
Yes, for Rooting i will be using One Click Root for Samsung Galaxy
and then for unlocking i will be using Vibrant Unlock Pro
I just wanted to know will it work for my phone with Baseband Version:T959UVJI6.
some tools doesn't work for JI6..

Does anyone know where z4root went? I used that the first time to root my vibrant but can no longer find it!

[Q] samsung glide sgh i927 rooted but cant get it to work overseas

Hello there, first of all thanks for all your hard work, you guys ROCK,i did follow the insructions on how to root the ATT samsung galaxy SGH i927,it worked fine(got superuser and busybox),but i still cant get it to work on a different network here overseas,it keeps asking me for the unlock network code, can you please help??
rooting has nothing to do with "sim unlocking" a phone so it can be used to work on another carrier....some rooting methods have a step where you can unlock the phone but it would have to depend on the phone. You can either purchase a code online from ebay, third party websites or see if there is a free method on xda.
Thanks for your reply, actually i did root the samsung galaxy captivate (i897),and it is working fine with the local carrier(here overseas),so why wouldnt the i927 work as well???do you have any links to free sim unock for the SGH i927 please??
the unlocking method for the captivate isnt the same as the glide I believe so I don;t think there is a free method to unlock it, not as of yet anyways.
Is there a free unlock code for the I927 could really use thanks

[Q] AT&T + Unlock = Cant Unlock

Hello,
I have a AT&T i727 SkyRocket Galaxy S2, I'm currently trying to unlock the phone. I purchased an unlock code from CellUnlocker.net. I'm unable to unlock the phone doesnt give me an error besides unsuccessful unlock. I tried getting help from CellUnlocker.net, very nice people but problem is it seems like they never ran in to this issue before. I was told I had to be on a certain baseband (modem ver.), I was also told i had to be on a stock Rom..
I have searched the forums and i was unable to find answers.
I read around that "usb unlock" is easier and better way to unlock it, I just dont know how to do that or who provides that service.
My question has anyone had any issues unlocking this version of the Galaxy S2 ?
Is there a simpler way of unlocking this phone ?
Any other recommendations of websites that can provide a USB unlock ?

[Q] How would I unlock a Samsung Galaxy S III SCH-S968C Tracphone on Verizon

Greetings! I need help unlocking my Samsung Galaxy S III SCH-S968C Tracphone on Verizon network running android 4.1.2
I did find a couple of postings about unlocking the AT&T version by keying in *#197328640# to the dialer, but got no response or menu.
I also found a couple of threads to root my particular model such as: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2516498
but it seems that rooting in itself will not help me (I am not versed in rooting, but I did review the process using cydia impactor as posted).
Can this phone be unlocked straight-up (please...), or is rooting required and if so, how would I proceed after the initial rooting application to actually unlock the phone?
Thanks in advance!!!

same phone
[/RIGHT] I have the same phone can't be unlocked .. So I'm selling phone to buy a T-mobile /sumsung s4 with 4G unlimited text& talk 2.5 gb prepaid for just $299.00/ $40.00 a month plan. Sold at walmart ...... So straight talk kiss my azz.... .....o.k
Wow all this knowledge and this crappy Flintstone tracfone has everyone bumfuzzled.. is that why it cost 140 used? Incompatible with just about every app and game. My classic game boy had more features and accessibility than this rip off prison phone. lawsuit overflowing device.
I'm beginning to not trust using tracphones for development - trying a Samsung Galaxy J7 Crown and it's stuck in that Binary Factory while now allowing me to re-enter download mode. Have you found anything that works on yours yet?

[Q] In need of help with SIM unlock...

As far as I know, my phone's carrier locked from "3" from Austria. This is my very first android phone so please bear with me if I don't get what you mean!
The very first thing I did when I received the phone was to switch the Stock Firmware from Austria to Taiwan's (I thought by doing this my phone would be automatically SIM unlocked lol...)
I followed this method
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406541
and this
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406664
to install CWM 4.0.0.2 and flashed stock ROM via Odin3 v3.09
Then I rooted the phone by following this guide.
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1725044
My phone is currently running Android 4.0.4.
I have tried running GalaxSim Unlock and Galaxy S Unlock and I'm still unable to SIM unlock my galaxy r phone...
I kept googling for SIM unlock solutions but all I get is commercial unlock results from google... and I couldn't find any threads here discussing about SIM unlock solutions... ANY help/comments would be much appreciated!!!:crying:
UPDATE: I didn't actually run Galaxy S Unlock all the way to step 3, I only ran it to step 2(since at the end of step 2 it indicated that I would have to run step 3 only after unlocking.) and my SIM was still locked even after restarting my phone, so I did not run step 3. Please do correct me if my hypothesis is wrong!
UPDATE2: I tried entering this on my phone and nothing came out. *#7465625#
UPDATE3: Does anyone know how to check if your Samsung Galaxy R i9103 is the CDMA or GSM version??
I think there is only GSM version of R...
