I have a problem that I just cant update my HTC Willdfire 2.1 version to 2.2 and I need help.
I purches my phone in a phone shop and it is an unlock device.
I already contact HTC support and gave them my s/n number and here is what they told me. my headset origin is from hong kong and my softwer is from europe and becuse of that I cant update. if I want to update I need to send it to them and with a small fee they will do it for me.
I most say that I rooted my Buzz 'cuse it didnt supprot my languge.
I think that one way for me to get the update is to undo the root and restore it am I right? is there any other way? how can I do it? pls help me.

I recently unbranded my Samsung Focus on Rogers for the NoDo update, and it worked just fine. I've been reading about some OTA updates Rogers was releasing, and I didn't want to miss out on it.
I've tried using the DeBrander xap found on this site, but unfortunately I debranded using the Samsung Registry Editor so the Debrander app can't rebrand it.
Does anyone know the code I have to input into the Registry Editor to put rebrand it with Rogers?
I'd really appreciate the help!

Why would you want to rebrand?? I'm leaving my att us unbranded for future updates, lord knows AT&T wil always be the last to release updates just like we/they are still waiting..

Hey guy's I'm really new to this site, I currently purchased a new phone, it's a HTC Incredible S as you can see it's factory default setting was in Hong Kong, anyway's, it's running Android 2.2.1 and I want it to be the latest one out, for some reason I try to update it, it gives me the message that it's the latest update available? any ideas?

I don't think there are any dutch RUU's leaked, mine is 1.45.114.1, not a single hit for that on google, so I doubt you'll find any info either.

Hey how you guys doind, i have a problem and hoping u guys can help me, i have a motorola photon in gingerbread version and i want to update it but i cant, im ecuadorian i dont use the phone in sprint i have search for it but i only get that i can update it throug the same phone but i go to options-about-update and it loads and appears "your phone is updated you dont need an update in this moment" but it is in 2.3.5 i dont know if this is becouse im not using sprint or something like that but i was hoping u people can help me with some way to update it in my pc or any way plssss
So basically my dad got this phone in the USA, its a T-Mobile version.
Thing is he sent it to a mobile shop and they "unlocked" and I can tell its rooted (superSU something)
But basically when I try to update it to Android 6.0 it tells me that Software status is modified and thats all ok cause I read that you cant update your software when you update. SO, basically, I'm wondering how can I update it when rooted and if thats not possible, can I unroot it somehow, update and have it still remain unlocked?
