MetroPCS extended caller ID info? - Touch Pro2 CDMA

I am running the latest MightyRom. My MetroPCS service delivers name with the number. I can see the name info in the call history, but not on the incoming call screen. I just get the state on entries not in the address book. When I try to save the a entree from the history none of the information is filled in except the number. Any ideas how I can change this?

Fuze Caller ID Problem

On my fuze, I am having an issue with caller ID. When a call or text comes in, it only displays the number, even if the caller is in my contacts. If the contact has a picture associated with it, the picture will pop up, but it wont display the person's name. Does anyone have an idea how to change that?
Answer...
Most of the time this will happen when you don't enter the area code when saving a number. This results in a totally new number in some phones.
Hope this helps
I don't think that is the cause. I don't have any contacts without an area code, and the contact picture pops up when the caller is in my favorites list, but it just displays the number and not the name.

[solved] Problem with Contacts and International Country Codes

So Ive been using my HTC Ozone (6.5 Standard, 3VO rom) for a while in israel, and the way the cellular network works is as follows:
country code is +972
the number that shows up on an incoming call is 052-555-5555.
The number that shows up on an incoming text is +972-52-555-5555.
The number that shows up on an outgoing call when dialing without the country code (aka 052-555-5555) is +972-052-555-5555.
All of these differences mean that if I have a number saved in the contact manager (in only one of the above forms), it isnt displayed 2/3rds of the time. If i send a text to ME(052-555-5555), the reply comes back from an unsaved number, in a new thread is +972-52-555-5555.
Is there a way for me to just save the base number (052-555-5555), and have the phone's contact manager realize that its the same number is the +92 equivalent? My current workround is saving all the forms of a number to a contact, but 1. its tedium to go through all my contacts and do this, and 2. you can only save so many numbers to a contact, which means im screwed if the contact has two different numbers.
I see all these fields in the "current country" setting, but I have no idea what they mean, or if that is even the solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
hey , i got the same problem on my Omnia 2 with windows mobile version 6.5
The local incoming call won't show the country code, and sms does the opposite way.
check through all my phone setting, can not find any related option for this.
Thanks for anyone can provide a resolution.
i just resolved my problem. hope this way can help you as well.
get a regedit software on your windows mobile phone.
go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Phone
under it, you should able to see a key name "CallIdMatch", change the value to maybe 8 or 9, which means it will match the last 8 or 9 numbers for each incoming call or sms. (use decimal) after the changing, reboot your phone.
Wow, it worked!!
Thanks a lot man!
thanks for the tip jason_ma!
i was also wondering about it.
Anyone know how to edit CalIidMatch an an HTC hero

[Q] How To Call From Hidden Caller ID To New Numbers?

Good day. Sometimes when calling new numbers, you don't want them to see your number. I would like to know how to automatically hide your phone's number when calling new numbers and then automatically switching back (if one desires) so your number gets shown.
Does Android have this functionality or there is an app for this?
Thanks.
when you call a number user in front of the number #31# and you will call with hidden call id.
when use #31# you will call with hidden id, when you don't use you call normaly/

Click to collapse
Thanks, but i was wondering if there is an instant "touch solution" where you simply pull up contact and choose option to call from hidden number or when you call first time new number.
Where did you learn about #31# by the way?
I don't remember but you can find many usefull information about this on google/wiki.
i.e code for hidden calls or something like that!

Call Management App - Hide for calls not in contacts

Hi Guys,
I know there is a simple solution of entering 141+number in the UK to hide your caller ID. I am looking for an app that checks the number you are calling, if the number is in your contacts list - leave the caller ID visible, alternatively, if the number is not in your contacts list, hide the caller ID so you call as "unknown".
I get fed up calling someone once, and then have them take my number and use and abuse it!
No matter what I do though, I cannot find an app that does it. all I can find is "turn caller ID on or off" as a global level.
Thanks
James

Question Caller ID Name Missing From Recent List

Trying to figure out whether this is normal behavior for the S22 Ultra, and if so, why is such an obvious flaw is not fixed?
Call comes in and the phone properly shows the Caller ID name, which is obviously super helpful. Once the call is logged in the Recents List, however, only the number shows and I no longer remember who the call came from, and have no way to get it. I believe the same is true for outgoing calls, where the Caller ID tech identifies the name of who you're calling once you dial the number, but again you're left with just the number and no name in the Recents List.
So why in the world wouldn't the phone be able to capture that name data and store it for future use without having to specifically save that number as a contact, and although I haven't tried to do this yet, would the name at least be saved then, or would I have to manually enter it all over again?
Unless i'm missing something, this Caller ID Name feature seems half baked at best. Sure, it's good to get that name when the call comes in, but it you're not around or if you need to know who had called a day earlier, you're completely out of luck!
