QRbook
What are you doing when meet your old friend or new people? You share your personal contacts. But how boring is to dictate the phone number and e-mail address. Now you have a solution - just generate your personal QRcode, which your friend simply could scan with camera.

Never happens.
Although it would be nice to be able to 'send' a contact to another phone via a text...

So...I have a contact named Iris. I pin Iris to the home page. Fine. Now when I go into her contact I have the option to link her to another. Fine. I link her to David. I back out to the homepage. WTF?...Iris is now David?..Ok what and why has my Iris "pane" changed to David? I dont understand this. Not only that but if i search my contacts for Iris that name no longer shows up.
Very odd and I really hate this.
Is there a solution?
Hi,
I use the link option only to join together 2 entries in my contact list for 1 person.
For example, I have a friend in my contacts called Jim but his facebook contact name is James, i can link these 2 together to have just 1 entry in my contact list. I think I know what your trying to do - mabye link together a husband and wife or something, I'm not sure if you can do that?
If you unlink your contact you should get both back.
Hope this makes sense.
Hi there,
The link contacts feature is more for linking the same contact but from different sources together.
Say you have Iris on Exchange, the same Iris on FB but with slightly different info including differing email addresses, and say you have the same Iris (but spelt Irisss) in Live. The Link feature enables you to join all these sources together in one view.
Please remember though that this is a "view" and not a single physical contact. All three contacts will remain as they are in their respective areas in the cloud. There is no auto update or merging of data. I've asked this question on another forum and as yet, no response.

Our posts sort of crossed and I forgot to put in what you mentioned above
Yeah! I think yours makes more sense tho lol!
I understand what you guys are saying but if u select links from your contact it suggests names that you should link to...which results in the original contact name disappearing

They are only suggestions and you don't have to link to those. You can continue to search for them.
Funnily enough..... I have a contact for myself on the phone for when you could send your details as a BT transfer or over SMS. Used to use that alot. I'm also on Facebook, but the phone only shows my contact on the phone not the FB contact as well to link too. In fact I cant search for my self either lol.

Yes I know you can search for anyone but what I'm pointing out is that it presents itself as being able to link to separate contacts and that when you do that the original contact "disapears". The way it presents itself isn't the way it works.
it does not disappear only one of the contacts would be showed and the other contacts details is merged in the contact you linked in.
If you want Iris to show than first unlink the contacts and then select David and link Iris...
No it doesn't disappear but if you search for that contact name it doesn't show up any longer.

Is there any way at all to send contact info to a third person via vcard, sms or anything? No cut and paste either - so, do we really have to write it down on paper, then enter it into an sms?

You're missing the point.
The suggestions are there because the OS thinks that the contacts are the same person. This might be because of similar name, similar E-mail or whatever. Personally it has never suggested the wrong people before.
The original contact doesn't disappear, linking is done to link accounts of the same person together. The reason why your original person "disappeared" was because you linked 2 people together who weren't the same person.
looking for a calendar app where i can invite people when i create a event.
the stock app can do it and so can others but with every one of them I have to type the e-mail address for the people i want to invite instead of being able to choose them from my contacts.
the same way i can choose people from contacts when i write a sms.
does it exist?

What I want seems pretty reasonable: only search the big company contacts directory when I explicitly ask for it. Most of the time, I only want the various search functions to use my personal directory. The fundamental problem is that I don't want to sift through the 22 Sarahs in my work directory every time I try to voice dial my wife.
I'm like most folks with jobs: I only have about 200 personal contacts that I actually care about and want to call semi-regularly. But I can't deactivate sync on the corporate group of 4000 people, because I do need occasional (mobile) access to various clients, contacts, suppliers, etc.
Is there a setting or app that would give me explicit-only access to the corporate group?

Nice one, unfortunately the solution does not generalize well; I do have more than one friend.
Hi! I've been working on a word building game with a friend for the past few months and we'd love some brutal honesty from the community.
Please download the app and let us know what you think. Do you think the gameplay is fun? Also, we'd love to hear some suggestions regarding the overall style and UI of the app. We're both developers and did the UI ourselves, so we're sure there's room for a LOT of improvements, but we first want to know what people actually think about the game before hiring a professional graphics designer, since our budget is very limited.
I can't provide links to our Google Plus community or Google Play since I'm new at the forum, so I'm attaching the apk here.
If you have any feedback, you can just post something on the community or send us an email at: [email protected]
How to play
The idea is that you're given a board with some fixed words on it and 7 letters. You have 2 minutes to form as many words on the board as possible. In order for the words to be valid, they must use at least one of the letters of the fixed words on the board. You can also chain words together to get more bonuses.

Thanks so much!
Pd. The only major feature missing from this version is play with your Facebook friends (we're working on it), but you can still play against a random opponent or another user if you know their username.
I just tried to start your app, and here is what happened: I was asked to enter my facebook id or an email adress. I don't want to involve facebook here, so I entered an email. Then the dialog "Your email address is not registered. Do you want to create an account?" appeared, and I clicked on "OK". After that the startscreen appeared again (enter facebook or email address), and the app behaved as if I haven't registered my email adress yet. What did I do wrong?

Actually you didn't do anything wrong. After you hit the "OK" to register that email, you should've been taken directly to the app. So, definitely a bug, I'll take a look at the log files to see if I find anything.
When defining relationships within contacts, I can never pick my own contact. When editing my own contact, I can not even add a relationship field. I can define relationships between other contacts, but can not define anything for myself.
How can I define my own relationships? I know I can use Ok Google to chose contacts to call when telling it to call my spouse for example, but how can I actually store that information within her profile like I can for all other contacts other than my own?
What relationship do you have with yourself? Friend? Spouse? Family?
It's you, you do not have a relationship with yourself
The reason you can add relationships to other contacts is because that field is what relationship YOU have with them
So for wife you would put "Spouse" as that is your relationship with her
You would not have anything to add to your own contact unless you married yourself
The reason you can add relationships to other contacts is because that field is what relationship YOU have with them

But that would mean that I would have to be able to select myself in that list when defining relations - and that's not possible.
So all I can do is define relations between other contacts. For example I can edit my spouses profile, chose father and select my spouses fathers contact and that will work.
So for wife you would put "Spouse" as that is your relationship with her

Simply chosing spouse without entering any name does not work - and my own contact is not available to select.
Am I missing something here?
Btw, I am using the default Samsung Contacts, not Google Contacts if that makes a difference.

Sorry yes you are right (partially), I remembered it wrongly, you can choose a contact to add as a relationship to another contact, but you can also choose yourself as that contact
I've just added myself as brother to my brothers contact, and also spouse to my gf's contact
It did however use my Gmail contact, not the one I have saved as my own main contact on the phone
Try adding yourself as a contact to your Google contacts first
(Also using Samsung contacts app)
When in my own main contact for myself, it has an option "My Relationships" under the main picture, with a + in a circle to add people to, I have added my gf as spouse to my own contact and it works fine, when you hit the + to add more, it opens your contact details where you can add multiple relationships

I agree with Detection, all of your contacts orbit around you. You define all other contacts in your universe and how close an orbit they have near you. You are the center of the universe. You are the all important one. Your contacts bow to your omnipotent awesomeness.
