All roms are model specific, since a 6.0 rom was never written for the Touch Pro II you will not be able to downgrade to 6.0. Since most newer phones have 6.1 and soon to be higher, it will soon be time for yur work to upgrade there software.
ok i have to wait for them to update software thanks very much
I'm curious -- what application do you have that runs on 6.0 but not 6.1?
Seems strange, as 6.1 is an incremental upgrade.
Could it be that the app in question thinks it needs a certain version of the Compact Framework?
very good question burt and one id be interested to hear too, ive never heard of an an app/software that works on 6.0 and not 6.1?? You could be right about .net release.
compay wont upgrade there software dont make sence to me
now i got 2x htc touch pro2 which i can not use
Well you can sell them!
In case u are interested post in marketplace and I am interested
i got my company software if i can upload it somewhere maybe some 1 can take a look see what they think

Can Samsung smartphones be flashed?

Can Samsung smart phones, i.e. the M8920 be flashed to have say WM7, linux or Android on it?

What OS does this Samsung M8920 have?
If Symbian OS or a standart Samsung OS - then NO!
The Pixon 12 which is it's predecessor runs on Symbian.
There's really two questions here:
a) Can the phones, in theory, be flashed to upgrade WM or run an alternate OS? The answer is generally yes.
b) Is there a community behind these phones providing cooked roms? That answer is usually no.

The answer is NO - Symbian can't be flashed with WM etc. - because there would be no drivers for those OS. If there are no drivers, You can't cook a ROM.

You can developer unlock your device which allows you to sideload apps. Either register as a developer or use the Chevron unlocker.
Custom roms are not possible at the moment (though WP7 isn't like Android) but it's on the horizon.

Mango is the name for the next major update to Windows Phone (OS ver 7.1). It is a huge update and is adding a lot of functionality to the platform.
Casey
so do i check on the htc arrive or is it the same for all phones
It's the same. They all run the same OS.
The only thing is the custom ROM thing is not going to be possible (at the moment) on the Arrive.
ok i might to put mango on or i might wait which one do you think i should do is mango easy

Mango is the next major update of Windows Phone. It bring many essential features to Windows Phone and is the biggest update to a mobile platform I've ever seen.

Mango has RTMed and is currently in carriers/OEMs testing and will be officially available via an update using Zune Software.
