How do you get the clock to say "quarter past 9" and say "8 o clock", like a lot of people do.
I think you are referring to the app called Clockr. It's a widget for your homescreen that shows the time in words.
Either that or tajm

You want Clockr or TypoClock. Both are Widgets and are free.

Hey all!
ADWLauncher is well-known among the community here, and recently on the market, ADWLauncher EX became available and it is absolutely brilliant. Launcherpro has a thread dedicated to showcasing each user's beautiful desktops, and for good reason, as it too is a wonderful launcher. That said, I think ADW deserves equal appreciation, and with the new EX version available on the market, the features and potential artistry of it grows even further.
Please post your screenshots and provide a brief description! For mine ...
Pic 1: My default desktop. I'm obsessed with minimalism, and to achieve this I expanded the desktop (no dock) and used AppsOrganizer to create cataloged folders for my apps. In the top corners are folders for Starred Contacts and All Contacts, respectively, and the clock widget at the bottom is Minimalistic Text.
Pic 2: Right-hand desktop. Left-hand corner with SetCPU 2.10, and once again Minimalistic Text widget at the bottom. This widget is very nice, can provide text- or number-based widgets for date, time, weather, battery, or even static text. Very customizable as well.
Pic 3: Left-hand desktop. Top widget is Visual Bookmarks, bottom widget is Android Agenda Widget, both customized to match other widgets.
All widgets described are available for free on the market. But please share your own pictures and descriptions of ADW!

That background is badass man ... I'm a B&W guy myself, but gotta give props where its due, that is sweet.
Here's my current setup:
ADWLauncher EX
Wallpaper is old school Corrosion of Conformity logo.
Left:
Battery widget is Minimalist Text
Bottom arrow is Folder Organizer shortcut to Favorited Apps.
Right:
Time/Date is Minimalist Text
Bottom Arrow (with twitter logo) is a Folder Organizer shortcut to apps labeled twitter (I use several twitter apps.)
I have a question , how do you guys get the number of texts, emails, and etc to show up on the docked apps , is that part of EX?

Adw settings -> general behavior -> system preferences -> show notifications. It is part of ex, but unsure if it is part of the free version.

You just need to find the different text icons that you like and then switch them out. It should be an option of ADW.
After you create your own or download a version you like save them to your SD card. Then select the dock icon you want to edit. It will pop up the 3 options and you want to select edit. Then you'll see the edit box pop up. Look to the left and you'll see a picture of the icon. Press that and you'll have the option then to select a different picture. Then you can use the ones you just put on your card.
Hole that helped.
I want to make a weather widget display using the same font as the honeycomb clock. However I don't know of any weather widgets that let me edit the font, our use images as the font. Kind of like how one more clock uses skins. Anyone have any ideas?

Beautiful Widgets lets you make and share skins. They've even got a sort of SDK for them.
I used the honeycomb widget images and created a font so I could switch the Clockopia font in my lockscreen clock, if you need the font tff just let me know and I can send it your way.

apparently minimalistic text just added the feature to read ttf's. If you can send the one you've made i'd love to check it out, see how well it works. thanks!

And the dev made a Honeycomb skin earlier this week for it too.
you gotta buy Beautiful widgets though, i was hoping for a cash free solution. The ttf support on Minimalistic text is for donators only :/ any other options?
Can anyone suggest a weather widget, or even know of one, that is JUST the picture/graphic of the weather? I'm going minimal these days with my homescreens and need something to match. Seems every widget has a clock or forecast for the next couple days, etc. I simply want, if its sunny, a sun. If its raining, rain drops etc.. I've seen similiar ones for the moon phases etc, but can't seem to find anything for weather..
Any help? Thanks folks..

Well am not sure this is rom related but if you going into the widget selector and scroll down to weather there are 3 of them in there with 2 small ones.
You don't say if you even bothered to look at the phones selection of widgets.
These are from beautiful widgets. You can turn off the background so all you get is the weather. It's in the market if you want it.

Thank you ^
Going to check it out in a few. Wonder if I can edit that to remove the text(temp, high/low) somehow. Is it simply removing a line of script in the file does anyone know?

BW has an lwp that displays just the weather.
Sent from my time waster.
Weather bug has a nice small widget.
As I said with the stock weather widget you get several small ones. This is the smallest on that is available without having to buy anything.
simi clock has a minimal weather widget too.
I'm a small developer. Here lately, I've been creating UCCW skins. Scan my profile pic to check out some of my apps. I have lots of ideas for UCCW skins, but I would like to know what ideas you might like to see, or download. What kind of clocks, or search bars or what ever...

Widget Id like to see.
I would like to see a composite widget that allows you to combine several app/widgets into one single widget, with the ability to re-size it. That would be handy. I can't stand having several widgets floating all over the place.
big analog clock with little ram usage would be awesome
I'm kind of limited to the boundaries of UCCW... It's a good idea, for a stand alone widget something I can create from scratch...
