I have decided to create some skins for the Desire HD based ROMs
Since I now have a Thunderbolt, all skins and downloads will be in the thunderbolt forum.
It's just to much work to try to maintain 2 separate threads with the same content.

There are a lot of skins available but not a lot have landscape support, all of the skins I will create will support Landscape.

Yeah, I like the red too!
I have a Dusk Skin that I made everything red on, the only problem is that unless you edit your framework images you are still going to have a lot of green.
There are over 500 images in the framework files that are green, changing skins will replace a lot of them but not all.
And even then, the biggest share of the apps out there are going to be green!
I think it is just about impossible to get rid of all of the green!

I just like the looks better than 4 bars, it's actually a 4 bar signal but I changed the images so that:
1 bar = 2 bars, 2 bars = 3, 3 = 4, and 4 = 5
I know it's pointless but what the heck.
Have tried them all with Super Z, they're great!
Loving the uber green, seeing as how I have already turned the majority of my status bar icons green! It fits right in!

LOL it seems like every time I post a screen cap somebody asks me for that.
I can post the images but not a flashable zip. The reason being that there are so many variables and tweaks within the framework files for different ROMs.
The images used are already in the framework (com.htc.resources.apk) I just used 7zip to extract the 5 bar images, renamed them and replaced the 4 bar images, then pushed then file back to the phone.
I am a Graphics Designer, not a programmer. I know just enough to be dangerous.

I updated the original post...
There is now a "Gears" and a "Dusk" skin with red framework throughout the skin (buttons, check boxes, hi-lites, etc...)

You can just flash right over Aloysius Theme or ROM only! If you use another ROM you will have only some color menus. You need to flash the Aloysius Theme first then this MOD

The icons in the pic above, are not the icons I have in the flashable zip. This was just a screenshot from another phone...that has a clear task bar, so I could show what it "would" look like. Until of course someone sends me a screenie of how it really looks on their EVO
So this MOD actually has been done before....I believe on many different devices, including the Hero

lol...you did good, just sent from taptalk...it shrinks the image a great deal.
With the few lingering taskbar icons throughout the ROMS you might get a black squared TB Icon here and there. But if you flash my Aloysius ROM or theme for Damage Control, you'll get "almost" zero black squared taskbar icons. Unless of course you're all set with your current set up.
Being happy with what you have is what it's all about!
one more question will this change the icons also? if so can you do one with the stock icons please im trying to go for a clean look and the stock icons are perfect thank you

That my friend is going to take me a long, long time to do. I will try to get it done, but the icons I did for Aloysius...getting them all to have transparent backs and not black squares took me a few weeks (with juggling my personal life). So, I will def put it on my list of things to do....but no guarentees on when it will arrive
The small things like clear taskbar/lockscreen/rosie are easy.....40+ taskbar icons, not so much.

oh i see well maybe you can just do the major ones, the ones that are usually ALWAYS on you know like, gps,3g, 4g, location services,the battery and time...i dont really care about having all the app icons be transparent...
ok another question if i flash this will this JUST change the icons in the taskbar? or will it also change the icons everywhere else?
So here's my deal (she says with a smile) ... I installed the clear taskbar mod over Calkulin's ROM. His ROM already has the lockbar skinned clear. After installing, the lockbar was black.
I then installed your clear lockbar mod and crossed my fingers. That put the black boxes around the icons in the taskbar.
I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I am just sharing. I think your mods look great. I know how much work goes into these mods (just reading tutorials tires me out. LOL).
It was just funny to me.
I installed over fresh .3 and while the notification bar looks pretty nice, there are a few other things that are screwed up like audio manager pro widget and the power control widget. Thank God for nandroid

I did not make this MM for skyraider i just pulled it from post 2 from ihtfp69 thread he made
NOTE: These are MM themes that can be used in conjunction with the button mappings. They are not exclusive of each other. Thanks to deficitism (brucekey) for help with this mod.

I don't mind the MM theme at all. I've been recovering after a knee surgery and getting back to the swing of working again. I realize I haven't updated things in a while, but I am working on something big!

Tried installing this theme on top of the incredible revolution theme for virtuous and android system kept force closing, should I just install this on virtuous by itself? I like the look of this theme more than the one for virtuous...

Awesome work theme works perfectly on Skyraider 3.3! This is just what I was looking for. Is it possible to flash the multi colored circle battery over this or is it going to cause problems since its not designed for the new framework?

I'm a big fan of the black/red color combo on this phone, so I'm loving it so far, but I've got a few questions:
FIrst of all, my fonts don't look like the ones in the screenshot. Should they, or is this a separate mod? I want that thin and sexy font!
Highlights ("pressed state" for buttons or clickable items) are red everywhere except for the following:
The rosie bar: the "pressed" state of any of the 3 buttons is green, not red
Apps in the app drawer
The stock gallery album list--pressed state when selecting an album is green
The recent apps section of the pulldown bar
There may very well be other places, but I haven't explored much further than this since installing this theme
What lockscreen is that in the screenshot, and how do I get it?

You can find the font (as well as some great looking widgets, backgrounds, and other things) in the original thread for the theme here.
I originally had another package to install the apps from the /system/app/ directory of SoCalMiles's installer, but I removed it because Skyraider 3.3 has updated versions of the apps. If you want to install them you can find it here, it may fix the remaining green in the apps. Install it through recovery or rom manager.
You can get the lockscreen by renaming HtcLockscreen.apk to Htclockscreen.apk.bak, or simply removing it altogether. You can find it in /system/app/

I need some serious help! I cannot edit com.htc.resources.api at all, I've tried pushing it thru adv, I've tried metamorph, I've tried everything! Does anyone hav a solution to this? Whenever I do edit the apk, my phone restarts and turns on halfway, then stops at random moments on the boot animation. :IAmAboutToKillMyPhone:

You would loose the flip part of it. That is something I have been working on and have not been able to find a solution....flip clock with transparency....

Ok. I'm currently using the transparent non flip that slayer posted earlier and I'm loving it. My theme is blue so I thought that blue, especially cause its the flip would look hot but I don't know if I wanna loose transparency. Tough choice. Thanks to the both of u for all u do for the community.

I could make a blue transparent version of the glass clock without the flip part. I will work on it tomorrow and see what I can work out.

There are several skins available for the Z based ROMs but most if not all do not support rotating Rosie (Landscape)...

Nothing major, I just. Made the Rosie semi-transparent in landscape mode, and cleaned up a couple of images.

Actually I made a mistake when posting that, it is "Personalize" not "Customize"
You have to be running a Z based ROM or you won't have the skin option and this won't work.
If you are running a Z based ROM, it's the right soft key.

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that the flip clock doesn't work on the Z based ROMs.
I could be wrong though.
If you don't like the clock (which is the biggest mod to this skin) you might try the Black Espresso skin, it is real similar to the Dusk skin but a different clock.
The skin and many others can be found here

Just wondering, in the quick settings your pics show everything blue. Mine is totally transparent. Wasn't sure if your intention was for it to be blue? I like it better transparent anyway, but maybe it should be made semi-transparent cause it is hard to read if you have anything on your home screen.

Yes. It should be blue. I'm not familiar with the EVO since I don't have one. Lol. I'll be trying to fix it so it looks like the pictures. I also have to remove recent apps. It's a work in progress. This is the best I can do for now. I'll try to include a separate zip for those that prefer it like it is or in the meantime try to darken the background on the drop down menu.

Porting to sky blue took me 12 + hours. This theme along with my NOV theme are both BETA. Which means, I'll have to continue to update both of these on the Thunderbolt AND EVO. There's just not enough time to port to another color yet. I'll get it done when time allows and both builds are finished. I also still have the ROMEO theme to work on. That's at least one full build behind schedule.

I have twist-AllianceROM-RLS2-signed rom and I want to remove the unlock icon and put it back to default and maybe change the icons for the battery life and that stuff
Can you help me out with a link or something to help explain to me how i can do it?

Ok people after a second look at this I was able to figure out what needed to be done to change the Notification area to show a blue backround behind the recent, and the quick settings notifications. Also got rid of the Recent apps! So its gonna look like the pic in the OP now!
