Instruction:
Backup the stock systemUI.apk using pull or copy/paste to SD with a file explorer(rootexplorer...) before trying specially on nightlies!!!
adb remount
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app
adb reboot
Use ADW and disable Wallpaper Hack

I think google was afraid that notifications and icons will not appear with some wallpapers if they are the same color,but with those green little ones it will be difficult

One question left: How can I set the wallpaper that it fits to the transparent status bar? It's just a black bar cause the wallpaper end right under the status bar. I hope, you know what I mean
Are you sure your wallpaper is 960x800?
You should use ADW and disable wallpaper hack too

I just flashed the latest nightly #29 and found a problem.
When I connect the usb-cable, it shows me, that there occured a problem to connect the sd-card as a mass storage. Pulling down the status bar and clicking on it, it ends with a FC:
"The application Status Bar(process com.android.systemui) closed unexpected. Please try again."
After that, the statusbar disappears.
Any idea?
The screenshots are in german, but i tried to translate as good as possible
Edit: found one more thing. The control buttons on the top of the notification does not appear.

I just tried it on Nazforex 2-2-11 build and it did the same thing force close and then bar dissapeared. Bummer, I was stoked about this to. Also gave wierd status bar thing about sd card not usable.
Doesn't sound good, so nothing changed...still a no-go on cm_nightlies.

Thats beautiful widgets small home widget.
Yes its beautiful widgets small home. The icons was anotherr thread sorry. All u have to do is go to the market and buy bettercuts($1.99) then the android 2.0 icon pack(free). The bettercuts app lets u use whatever icon pack u want tio use its pretty cool!!
p.s. just type icons in search in the market there are TONS of different icons u can get BUT U HAVE TO get bettercuts to be able to change them. And it will only change the icons on the home screens not when u click all programs
I have attempted to flash both of these over fresh 1.1 through recovery as well as through fresh's pre-kitchen and I get stuck @ boot every time. Neither of them will take at all for me. Ideas?

same here, just never turned out right, some icons would change and some would not? it's cool ill play with it another time. i actually don't mind the default taskbar.

ive flashed this taskbar and for some reason my signal icon did not change. its still the standard bars with a black background. what gives?
This is a very simple METAMORPH THEME. It puts in a black status bar with Hero-style icons.
Also added:
Green highlights
Blacked out search bar (Made by Manup456)
Transparent notification shade
Green lights on power control widget
Changelog:
Added green highlights to GenieWidget
Lowered transparency on notification shade

Repaired GenieWidget so it no longer malfunctions on touch when only displaying news feed.
Added green highlights to the power control widget.
Changed the shade of green on widgets to match better.
This is NOT a regular theme. It is a Metamorph.
To use: download and install AndExplorer and Metamorph from the market. Both are available for free.
**PLEASE NOTE** After applying morphs, you will need to reapply your widgets. Metamorph has always been this way. They are not broken, they just need to be trashed and reapplied.

No this will NOT run with CyanogenMod. I tried it once yesterday as well and got some funky startup errors. I have all I need to port it over to CM, but that will have to wait until later this evening after work.
Very, nice, did not know that Meta morph had support for Metamorph.
Makes themeing much more rapid.

OK everyone, new link added to bottom of OP for CyanogenMod Morph.
Just installed the H icon looks a bit awkward to me but other than that it looks good.
Edit: Oh the H icon looks weird because it has a border around it. In the Modaco version I don't think it had that border around the 3G icon.
Theme looks classy. I also love the look of the stock N1 but this black bar looks so much nicer. I'm on CM5.0 beta-2.

Yes, notification bar, its drawer and icons.
so as far as what kernel etc im using it shouldnt bother anything right.... im using cyanogen beta 3 with highmem .29.6 kernel

hot damn this is a nice theme !!!! one thing ive noticed is that on the reception bars... the last one which is suppose to be the longest cuts even with the third one at times and when going into gmail the statusbar turns white n all the icons r wierd ??? any reason why ?

I put up a updated version that have better icons, should fix that error.
There is a problem with some apps: gmail and browser as example. These have white bars in the app and it will not be shown correctly.
quick fix lol.... now the only thing i see wrong is when using gmail bar is still white with messd up icons and when sliding down the bar the date covers the icons, is it possible to show one instead of both overlappn on the status bar when u slide it down ?
(Edit) also happns n market and browser with the white bar...

You have to install it with Metamorph (free in market) and Andexplorer (also free). Its not to be flashed.

On my Nexus that don't work.
I put the zip file into the folder "AndroidThemes"
now start Metamorph and take this theme.
I get the error message (translated from german): "The Theme you want to apply is corruptd. The Themecontroldata couldn't found"
Could anybody help me please?

So, this is basically an updated version of the BlackMod theme I put together for DarchDroid. Ive been working on it continually, and I think you'll find that this release is more complete and uniform than the original. There are many updates throughout the theme, so I hope you enjoy it.

Note- You will need to change all of the colors in the CyanogenMod Settings to be able to see your clock, date, notifications etc.

-The .apks and gapps are from the newest versions, and are always updated.

Are you using your launcher's search bar or the Google Search bar? Cause the Google one is black
This theme looks great on my phone. Good color integration. CyanogenMods panel wont change my clock color though, weird.
Has anybody noticed the market occasionally downloading but sticking at 100% download from this google ****s pack?

I did not modify the keyboard.
Change clock color to white in CM settings.

Yeah, I reflashed the keyboard after your mod and the keyboard's working fine now.
I did change the color to white for clock and calendar after the post, I simply didn't want to edit a third time
One more thing: It's missing the menu icons / menu theme, it's still white.

First, nice work sonnysekhon.
Second. I'm having an error. When I try to flash de .zip, this error popout:
"E: Missing file:
system/app/RomManager.apk
E: Verification failed"
I don't know why said that, and less why i need the RomManager to apply the theme.
Any help?
