Is there any way to auto lock the screen after a call? I've searched through quite a few forums and couldn't find anything. Basically my problem is I'm using a call blocking app and after I get a call and it rejects it my phone is left unlocked afterwards. This causes me quite a few priblems for me...calls being made I don't want, text messages getting sent, and settings getting changed. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Sorry if this is already answered but like I said I searched quite a bit and couldn't find any solutions. It just seems that if my phone was locked before a call it should stay locked after...
Try PoxLocker 3.0 if your phone has proximity sensor
Just guessing...but you should be able to do something with tasker

Hey got a weird problem with my Tasker. I had followed the guide posted in the Android forums about creating a text and missed call widget using minimal text as well.
It was all going swell. until seemingly randomly it stopped counting when the phone was locked. I am completely stumped, which is not surprising, as I'm relatively new to this whole thing. As far as I'm aware I haven't changed anything except updating the apps.
Anyway, if anyone has a nice answer I'm happy to let you say it as patronisingly as you want.
Cheers
John
Bump for frustration!
The phones cpu usually gets turned into a low state when it is in standby. Only major events like calls or texts will wake it.
You need a PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK for your phone to still register widget events or sensors during that time.
It is possible that some one app/widget of yours aquired such a wake lock before, which in return made it possible for your widget to work during that time.
I have made you a small tool that will aquire a wakelock when it is turned on.
Tell me if it helps.
Thanks for your reply. I have tested it with your app and unfortunately it has not worked.

Back up to the top for other suggestions or workarounds.
Use adb logcat from the android sdk to read the log, there might be some hints on whats going on when you lock your phone.
Cheers for your suggestion. I've looked into it, but tbh am struggling a bit. I think I'll leave it, thanks for your ideas though.
just wondering if anyone has had any issues with the unity lock screen when answering phone calls? I have the inspire with the latest unity rom and for some reason when i get phone calls the lock screen doesnt show up? its as if i already answered it but its still ringing and i have to end the call and then call them back
any suggestions on what might cause/fix this would be greatly appreciated as this is very irritating!
Are you saying that you don't have the answer call button showing, just the end call button? If that is what you are referring to do you also have the application from the market called No Lock on your phone? I had a similar problem and I traced it back to an incompatibility with that application on the VU rom. It messed up the system. It sounds like you might be describing a similar situation. It could be that app or another similar app.
Well the whole lock screen doesn't appear when I'm getting a phone call, I can't answer or decline it, its as if I have answered the call but its still ringing, ill take a screenshot if i can next time it happens..
Also I have go launcher installed and discovered that sometimes when i clear that as the default homescreen it resolves this, could be a similar incompatibility maybe? That's the only thing I can think of but i don't know why that would cause it

oh and also i have an app called proximity screen off so i can turn the screen off with the proximity sensor, not sure if that has anything to do with it but figured its worth mentioning
It might be. I have found that certain apps that I used to use do not behave well with Sense 3.0 roms. The only way that I found out which ones was to do a fresh install and then install one at a time and see what happens after they have been installed for a while. It was a pain but I was able to figure out a few apps which screwed up the system.
Turns out to have been the proximity screen off app
This is probably a duplicate but I can't find other posts.
My phone vibrates periodically when I'm on a call. Previous phone have had a call timer that would do that every minute so the user would stay aware that you're using up your minutes. This seems like something similar but i can't find any setting like that in any of the system menus.
I'm using a rooted HTC One S with the 1.54 firmware. No mods other than root.
Anyone know how to turn this off?

Did you enable vibrate on incoming call and on notifications? I don't use vibrations and I have never had an above problem. I have downloaded "profile scheduler" app from market and it has many settings. Try it.
I do have those two events on vibrate but what's happening is not a buzz when a call or txt comes in but rather every once in a while during an active call the phone will vibrate for no apparent reason. Usually causes the person on the other end to ask "what the h**l was that??"
As a police officer I like to keep my phone on vibrate while working. However with it attached to my belt I can rarely feel it vibrate, and therefore I miss a number of calls and text unless I'm constantly checking it. I know on my old phone I was able to increase the vibration, as well as make it vibrate longer. I have searched through all the phone settings and don't see a way to do it, so I figured I'd ask here in case I'm missing something.
Thanks!!

If you install an app like sms pro, you can edit the vibrations ie, make them shorter or longer. At least that would take care of text messages. As far as other notifications, you might have to try tasker or use a custom rom

If you can, install CM 10. I have a developer edition so I don't know if you can.

Hello, on my new zfold2 the incoming call screen does not show when calls arrive. The phone rings, but the lock screen remains, basically i cannot answer the call until I unlike the device, go to the pull down menu and then see the incoming call to be able to answer it. I've searched whether there is a setting for this, but nothing...anyone can help me? thanks.
Same here. Fix?

I have not found anything yet. Must be a setting issue, i Hope!
Same here.
I've been using the Google dialer since using this phone and have had no issues. Not sure if this is really the answer that you're all looking for, but it may be a workaround for you until the stock phone app is updated.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.dialer
I too was facing issues with the stock phone dialer, though the issue was different. It was not registering my touch or registering it after repeated attempts while wanting to make calls. Touch screen otherwise works fine.
Using a different Dialer now - True Phone app. and all issues of touch have been sorted out.
I had that problem, turns out for my problem was that I had do not disturb turned on. Doubt that's the same for you guys but just thought id share. Thanks.
Have you found any solution?
