[Q] Sensation very active over night

Each night I turn off my Sensation. Really off, not stand by. After one night my battery drops from 100% down to 53%. No idea why.
Since then I sometimes look into the build-in battery-use (hope it's wright, my Sensation calls it Akkuverbrauch). The graphic shows activity the whole time my phone is turned off. HTC Support has no idea why. Maybe you have the answer what's going on in my turned off Sensation.
Are you using push mail?
No push mail.
But how should this work? The device is completely turned off. Sensation should do really nothing in that state, or am I wrong ?
Do you have fast boot enabled, in the power settings?
If so, it's some kind of hibernation so the phone can come on quickly and isn't truly shut down. The fact it's in the power settings means it must have some effect on the power...
Try disabling it and see if it stops your problem
Judging by the pic your phone still shows the battery at 100%. Once it dips below this it will display the usage activity correctly.

Yes, fast-boot is enabled. I'll try next night with disabled fast-boot and see what happens.

I have not this problems, but the tweaks chrisw99 seems perfect, so think to say us.
I hope, it will be done with it.
I have experienced this but found out that syncing caused it. Change sync mode to manual if you dont need it

Sensation Dead after Battery Died

Hi,
I had the excellent Eleganzia custom rom on my Sensation XE and this has been working for months with no problem.
The phone is rooted and I am using firmware 3.32 I belive.
I recently was out and my battery completely died (this is rare).
Anyway, I stuck it on charge overnight and when I got up I couldn't turn on the phone.
I can't get into recovery mode (Volume Down and Power Button).
When I plug the charge cable into the phone the orange light comes on for about 5 secs and then goes it and nothing.
I bought a separate battery charger and charged the battery again overnight.
I then tried to turn on the phone and nothing comes on the screen. I still can't get into recovery mode.
The phone now buzzes every 20 secs or so. It seems to be stuck in a boot loop but there is nothing on the screen so I can't confirm (screen remains black).
Any ideas of how I can resolve this or do I need to return the phone to HTC as it is only 7 months old.
Hope you can help.
Thanks
rohanale
Dunno man... Sounds nasty!
Did you try powering up without sim and memory card?
I'd take'em out, and the battery, than after a few seconds put only the battery back, and try again.

remove sdcard, sima and battery and charge the phone for few hours and see (5-6 would be ideal)
I will try that and see what happens.
Thanks

[Q] HTC Sensation not charging while ON

Hi,
My HTC Sensation has a weird problem, I will now try to describe it.
- Starting from a completely OFF state I remove the battery and put it back in the phone. After this operation the LED lights up and the phone is charging.
- After starting the phone, the LED turn off and the phone stops charging, no matter what I do, it just won't charge.
- When I turn the phone OFF, the only way to get the battery charging again is to remove the battery and put it back in the phone.
Right now I am running ViperS 5.2.1 with CWM 5.0.2.0 as recovery. but I already had this problem with the stock rom (that's actually the main reason I decided to try another rom).
I also tried to test the phone with another battery and the results are the same.
I'm sorry if this problem has already been posted before, but I've been searching the forum for days and never find a solution to my problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.
***EDIT***
I changed CWM 5.0.2.0 with the latest 4EXT recovery, and now, with the phone ON (unable to charge), if I reboot into recovery the phone starts to charge.
If I power off the phone from recovery it keeps charging, but when i turn ON the phone again, it just stops charging.
Any suggestions?
Bump. Anyone?

If you do a Google search for a solution then you'll notice it's a wellknown issue at HTC devices.
I already Factory reset my phone, but it doesn't solve the problem,
