I have an HTC Touch CDMA and was working on getting android on it today.
I managed to unlock the phone, get the custom boot screen which says something like SPL 0.40. and load a rom onto the phone.
As Linux was booting (screen with penguin) the phone froze at

Can anyone help me out and explain what I need to do to get this phone back up and running?
Just try getting a different version of android. You could even try Gingerbread. Also, check ur default.txt to see if its the correct one for your phone and everything is in place.

Hi, I've got the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael)
And I've had it in my drawer for a while becuase it broke down one morning and I just bought a new one, But I'm thinking of sorting out the problems with it now since I need an extra phone.
The main problem with it is that it locks up in boot.
If I do a normal boot it locks at the HTC logo and the "friendly dinging sound"
I was thinking of reflashing it, but since it never boots up the only flashing I can think of is through the SD card.
So i put the file "RAPHIMG.nbh" in the root folder of my SD card and booted it up using the volume button pressed to looad the loader, it swaps over to a loading screen then it just freezes here aswell.
Any ideas on to WHY this happens and HOW to solve the issue.
issue solved, I managed to get the bootloader to get to waiting mode and cet a connection to it from my windows computer and run a default ROM onto it, now I can start modding it
i couldnt help but notice this thread, im am facing the same problem, except that my phone has never been flashed before, its fully stock. how did you manage to load a ROM beyond the "Loading..." screen. i have done exactly what several guides, including the ones i found in the forum, have told me to. Neither the SD card flash, nor the Activesync flash are working.. help please?
flashing

Hi,
I recently upgraded to an EVO 4G and last night I was trying to do a root and load a custom ROM but being a n00b i think i messed something up.
My phone now goes into HBOOT but when i try to go into recovery it vibrates once and goes to the white HTC EVO 4G Splash screen and just stays there. I seem to have a bad recovery image and i've tried various methods to load another one but with no success.
When my phone is in HBOOT I'm able to plug it to my win 7 machine via USB and it recognizes the phone as Android Device under device manager.
Any help/tips/advice would be very much appreciated!
Hey everyone I am having some trouble with my friends HD2.
He installed HSPL3 with 2.08.hspl
Then Magldr 1.10
Then installed android 2.2 ROM
Everything worked fine, made phone calls, texts, all that except 3g didn't work but I am assuming that was because he didn't install a radio?
Now, heres where I am stuck.
He told me he used the phone for awhile without 3g.
Yesterday he turned off the phone before school and turned it on after school.
-The phone started to fail to boot up in multiple ways
-It sat at the stick together screen
-Got to MAGLDR 123456 go go go (would get stuck there sometimes)
-Got fully booted up and would search for a signal and freeze
-Or it would fully boot up and work normally until he had to restart it again
Now he told me this is what he did when he got home from school
-He opened magldr and did a usb flash
-opened bootloader and tried to reinstall android
-got two errors
-could no longer boot passed Magldr
I recommended he switched back to a shipped ROM from t-mobile it was the (3.14 update)
He told me he tried it, got to 8% and failed, and now he gets an error along the lines of:
-software update failed please try again
He gets that whenever the phone started up.
Now I said oh lord that sucks, now I have the phone.
-The phone is still on 2.08 hspl
-magldr 1.10 still installed
-Just did a USB flash
What do I do? I have tried looking at guides to install android but seeing as how there is no ROM on the phone anymore I can't do an SD install.
How do I tell if my phone is 512mb or 1024mb?
Is the phone bricked?
I currently have the Android 2.2 that my friend installed on the phone installed on this computer should I continue to use that?
Hi,
I recently rooted my htc vivid and i tried to flash a rom. However, the rom didnt work and my phone isnt working. The phone's bottom touch-buttons vibrate when touched, but the screen remains off no matter what i do. What's wrong with it?
EDIT: I got it to boot, however, its stuck on booting, the boot logo just keeps on popping up. What should I do?
any luck?
sounds like you need to try and flash the rom again. this may or may not be a know issue with the rom. check the thread where you got the rom. I had to flash twice with the same rom the last time i did it (unrelated device)
May have to hold the buttons in a specific sequence to get back to the debug mode.
also have a look through this thread:

I tried to upgrade my phone to 4.4.2 TwistedKat, but after a while i decided i didnt like it and deleted the zip file from the phone completely and attempted to reboot my phone. I tried to relock it but when i did the phone never turned back on. When i unlocked it again it would go back to TwistedKat and i really just want my old JellyBean back. Now when i turn the phone on it stays on the logo screen with the red writing saying this build is for development purposes. I could not really find any RUU to use and im still searching but having no luck. Please help
EDIT: Its a T-Mobile HTC One S. I can also still go to the hboot screen and
clockworkMod Recovery
Ok i ended up being able to bring back the TwistedKat 4.4.2 version, but i would still like help in returning my phone back to the OS it was. Can anyone help?
if you are s-on, did you flash boot.img ?
