I've been using my htc magic for some time but now I want to change the lock screen and the dock. is there anyway to do this?
For the dock try LauncherPro or AWD Launcher.
For the lockscreen try WidgetLocker.
Thanks but I ment in the Rom how would I Change the lockscreen and the dock?

I've been playing around with the adw.launcher. its pretty cool and gives more customization than the default launcher. I also noticed the dockbar that comes with the adw.launcher. I was wondering whether there were any dockbar apps like that for the default launcher?

It is not an app, the whole launcher had to be redesigned to have it.
If you want to try another launcher with a dock like this and highly configurable try Launcher Pro.

Does installing ADW.Launcher or Launcher Pro change the TouchWiz lockscreen? I like the standard Android lock screen over the ordinary TouchWiz lock screen.
widget locker off of the market can do this

Remove all the shortcuts and turn off the dock background. That should do it.

Could you also help me with changing dock in LauncherPro ? I downloaded new docks from xda, and want to replace the old one. How to do that ?
Press menu ,prefrences ,appearence ,dock background ,select custom and pick the dock you want to use from your gallery ,simples

Is there any way to actually use the space for desktop icons as the ADW launcher does (expand desktop)?
I like the smoothness of LauncherPro but I like some of the features of ADW but don't like its lag.

I've gone back to ADW for this reason. I'd have prefered to use LP but there is no way to do what you're asking with it.

If its lock screen it would be harder, but depending on the ROM you can find various designs closest to the one you're looking for.
Ya lockscreen for sure, been looking through the forum and the playstore for hours and still nothing.

Yep I can find homescreen like that but not lockscreen
Maybe Widgetlocker will do the trick. It replaces your lockscreen, and allows you to add widgets to it.

Looks like that is going to be as close as I can get so far. Widgetlocker has security issues.

That ROM has looked interesting for awhile. At this time I need more stability as a daily driver.
I really dont want to switch ROMS just for the lockscreen.

I have found some success with this setup:
1. Install Widgetlocker
2. Install TypoClock
Use the TypoClock as a widget on the Widgetlocker screen
Hey guys, iam no novice to Android, did a ton of modding/theming/flashing on my MDK s4, and my s3 before that. But for some reason I can't put my own widgets on the lockscreen.
Yes, in security settings I have multiple widgets enabled. But for some reason I can't remove the stock widget and add my own. It's super frustrating. Normally I use Apex launcher but iam sticking with blinkfeed for the moment. So so I need to use a different launcher to get my own widgets? Or is there some other trick? All I want is to use dash clock as my lock screen widget, then poweramp and my news apps to the right. Thanks.
