Are Clemsyn's Kernels working on our Polaris? - Touch Cruise Android Development

Greetings.
Anyone tried Clemsyn's kernels?
Do they work on our Polaris?

I'm not so sure about this, but since Kernel is a layer that intermediates between software and hardware, they are made for specific phones. So if it's not for Polaris, no. It wouldn't work.

Yes, it should work, use atools to change the options (as usual).
It is still under testing so probably it has some problems.

Yes
I tried it and no problem now but we have to wait a little more times for tests...
Cheers.

[REQ][ROM] 32A Hero?

Why nobody port JACHero or some else good rom for 32A Magic? Is this so hard task? There are just only 2 roms with hero builds which are not frequently updated. They also are not optimized to work well.
So, is it possible to port JacHero (or some else supported) for 32A boards?

[STOPPED][ROM][32B;G1]DarchLegend[Fast][WG kernel]

First thank to all dev's! Particulary bcrook and sanpei.
Original link
Hi,
after many test and hours, here is my second ROM!! I will port villain's ROM tomorrow, I can0t active wireless connecionts on this ROM!
really, it is a port of DarhLegendv5.0.5 , ported to 32B (and G1 perfect SPL too(?))
To port this, I've used a WG kernel with RAM hack.
Partition Layout: Fat 32 ;; EXT 2/3/4 ;; SWAP
Wipe : data/factory reset, dalvik-cache, SD:ext partition
So, the links..!:
DarchLegendv505.Artifexed.v01.BETA
works:
most things!
don't work:
wifi, BT, camera
Change Log:
v01 : BETA release
Thank to say what you think about this port!
Whats the point of announcing a ROM without actually announcing anything other than the fact it is coming ? Seriously ..
No offense or anything .. thanks for putting time and effort into building a rom.. just saying that this thread is kind of pointless if you're not actually announcing anything ..
He's announcing the announcement
look there goes santa with the 2.1 update

Ive noticed alot of devs have been doing that in the cdma hero forums. Kinda like how tmo, sprint, at&t tell you your gonna get 2.1 update except this is actually gonna happen.
if the rom didnt have a release date then say something but since its tomorrow then just chill i am starting to think people join to flame people
all i wanna know is does is it going to fix our tethering problem.

it should I know i got it on sprint hero but i dont know what is gained or lost in a port. I do want to add thankyou to the devs that make roms cuz I know I get sensitive when people say something bad about my work and they just let it roll of them like water. Also I like the idea of telling you when the next release is cuz you aren't stuck in limbo wondering how things are going
how is it going with this production
32B Wifi with Hero ROM
Hi,
anyone can help me?
I can't active the Wifi with DarchLegend on my 32B.
The wlan.ko is OK.
Wich file(s) must I change?
thank in advance
The wlan.ko needs to be built together with the kernel. You can't just take a wlan.ko and stick it in a ROM.

Well basically you can, but then you'd have to use the same kernel build that was used to build that wlan.ko. Every time kernel is compiled, modules for it need to be recompiled with it.

yes, the kernel and wlan.ko correspond.
tethering support must be compiled into the kernel I believe.

ok, so, I don't understand, because I've did it!
Otherwise to change? In init.heroc.rc?

Any Rom(or kernal) with EXT4, Overclocking, JIT, Compcache and working Camera

I'm tired of my Hero lagging crazy. Its hard to use my phone and I'm going to switch if its not fixed soon. I'm looking at Fresh Toast v1.1 with Overclocking, Compcache, and Ramzswap all supported by a .27 kernel which won't allow the camera to work on 2.1 roms but will on 1.5 roms correct? If the camera will work if this kernel is pushed to a 1.5 rom how exactly do I get the kernal on my phone.
Even if this isn't possible try and list the fastest kernel so far with camera features working. Looking at the Kernel list in the wiki doesn't really help...
Please XDA, I once loved this phone.

1. You need a 1.5 Rom. Those Roms come with the 2.6.27 kernel (which the source was released). Toast fixed the EXT4 and did the overclock. If you wish, I can build you a kernel with the Rom that you choose for these functions.
2. The HTC keyboard does suck in its lag. I personally like the stock Android keyboard. There's a few developers that incorporate those into their Roms and I know some have them as themes. I'll look for you.

I'm using it, it's fast as hell and camera works great.
Not sure that you can use ext4 though, but I figure that's the least of my sacrifices.

this is a basic summary of the last thread you started on this exact same topic. i guess if you didn't get the answer you wanted then starting a new thread is the best way to figure out the problem.......

Wow, are you guys serious? I started a new thread because the last thread consisted of only 1 person recommending some gumbo kernel, I looked at the kernel it has overclocking but no ext4(or EXT3 I think). If your not going to be helpful and your just going to act like idiots don't reply at all. Stop roid raging when I tell you my Hero is too slow and I'm pissed off about it.

it seems like tkirton is willing to compile a kernel with these features you want, but just tell him if you want to run a 1.5 rom (camera) or a 2.1 rom (no camera)

[Kernal] Fresh 2.3.3 OC 710 undervolt darchshiz #15 Kernal/boot.img flashable zip

This Kernal is meant for Fresh 2.3.3 roms and might work on other fresh roms as well. This has not been fully tested but is working great on my phone. I take no credit for this. You can thank Decad3nce for puting together the boot.img and Darch for his once again great kernal. This still has the Free memkiller in it. Esentually this is the darchshiz #15 kernal with the 710 free memkiller ramdisk that is out.
thanks goes to making this too
Decad3nce for putting it together
Darchstar for his undervolt and kernal work
Urushiol for the initial ramdisk
Toastch for his great kernal base
Use at your own risk
I am not responsible for any issues with your phone after flashing this
Always nandroid before flashing
Enjoy
Fresh_2.3.3_OC_710_UV_DarchShiz_#15.zip
To install
1. download and put on root of sd card
2. restart phone in recovery mode
3. make a nandroid
4. flash a zip from sd card
5. reboot
best of luck and thank you again Decad3nce and Darch
testing right now.
Checking it out
This should work great, only I believe this kernel will have the AOSP touch screen driver so there will be input lag. Would love to get a zImage of this with HTC synaptics
dumb question, this will only work on fresh? it wont work on nfinit's rom?

yeah im noticing the lag a little. ur more than welcome to redo it. I dont mess with kernals i just asked decad3nce to throw it together for me so i could have undervolt in my rom. He said he didnt care if i posted it. but your more than welcome to redo and make better. actually your thread is much better for this and im guessing with the undervolt it would be nice to have for all your boot.imgs

If I wasn't lazy to compile darch's source with the right synaptic drivers lol. Just bug Darch to do a proper one, I don't think he'll mind.

=)I wish I could, I haven't managed to learn enough just yet to compile the kernel image from scratch with the right driver, I can bust open a kernel and mess with the ram disk, but that's as far as I can go, we need Darch!
Darch if you can hook us up with a zImage of this with the proper touchscreen driver! <3

lower voltage = less power consumption = better battery life = cpu runs cooler = longer cpu life. all while maintaining the same performance as long as stability is achieved at the same cpu speed
for people dying for the perfect vanilla unlock with no lag dontforget flipz made one months ago
http://geekfor.me/hero/fixes/vanilla-lockscreen/
Confirmed that this kernal also works with ZenEXP 0.9.6.2.
Confirmed working on fresh 2.3.3 just tested it. Great job! My gf's hero is almost as badass as mine with CM6.0
Have been running for a few hours with no issues. And, I'm not seeing any unlock lag or lags of any kind when waking up so far.
Great job to all who made this work! I'd thank you each individually, but I don't know who all's work went into this.
how much better will the battery life be if i flash this?

[MOD/TOOL] Dual Boot between ROMS

For those of you who have not seen this, it is now possible to dual boot between roms on android! (HTC Dream (g1) is supported!)
Check out the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9345833#post9345833
Damn!
Just downloading, if this works it will be epic...
good finding
will definitely try it
wait, but will this work for roms that need different partitions? like a Sense ROM vs. a Froyo ROM?
It's currently having a few teething issues which I'm helping Uncorrupted out with along with a few others. In theory this should be able to flash from donut to froyo and all inbetween and i'll be testing further so keep your eyes peeled for updates from me
Will this work with the new 2708 enabled kernels and the new radio/hboot that goes along with it?
has anyone tried it?does it really work?

Been helping with providing info to get it working, it's not done yet but Uncorrupted said he will have a fix hopefully when he wakes up.
As soon as it hit's I'll test and post results.
Any progress?
