I had one of these for my touch pro 2, but really didn't feel any difference.

Thats because their advertised 2000 mah TP2 battery was around 1200mah in reality, 300mah less than the stock battery.
http://batteryboss.org/
If they haven't significantly stepped up quality from their TP2 days, then this 1850 battery will have significantly less capacity than the stock battery.

Ill try one

So has anybody that said they would try using one of these actualy ordered it and done so?

I have ordered and used mine for 3 days. Seems to last less than the stock OEM battery. I'm sticking with the Seidio 3300 mAh battery tho

I bought one and used it for a week. For 10 bucks its OK as a spare. I cannot tell any difference in endurance between this battery and stock.

Yep, didn't see much of any change good or bad. Decent spare for the price, that's about all.

i heard Yoobao had a great 2800mah battery that lasts for a very long time. its on ebay for $25 and i plan on getting one for my epic soon (when i get it )....

Is it at least a little heavier than the stock battery?

nope. a little under 4grams lighter

The Mugen Power 1950mah battery is a GO!

I am posting this for my good friend ecooce. His words below.
"So some of you may know I now have an Epic Touch, and I just want to say I will be creating for both soon if all goes well.
I just wanted to show off the new Mugen 1950mah battery (which also fits the original Epic, actually a pertect fit). This thing is everything it says it is and better if you ask me. The numbers dont lie, I use my phone all day. I work 3rd shift which is the absolute worst on ones personal life, I may sleep 3 hours at a time just to try and do things on a normal time, its hard to explain. Anyways, I used the phone all day and taxed it several times with games, a movie, and some youtube. Screen was at about 40% brightness, auto rotate, no auto brightness. The ROM is old and built on Caulkins 1.5. I plan on doing all updates to 2.3.6 and may release soon.

And a side note to the OG Epic owners, I really miss interacting with everyone, we had some fun times, and I dont think any other phone forum will be the same for me ever. We had some real high moments, and people, even SINN I miss, I have to say. Other phones may get leaks, and have inside info, but no one did it like we did. I just wanted to say I miss you guys "
Nice, but $44??
I can get 2 1800mah oem batteries at that price.
Where can I find an 1800 ?

I also question the capacity. These 3rd party battery vendors are known to fudge their numbers. While Mugen may be more honest than others, I don't think it's worth $44 to try it out. If the battery was really 1950 mAH, why aren't phone manufacturers using these instead of the smaller capacity ones?
You are aware that the 1500mah and the 1800mah batteries are the exact same size right? So the same could be said, why didnt the og epic come with an 1800mah battery?
Mugen has always equalled overpriced crap that's just as good as generic but more expensive then OEM lol
I have one also and I can say it is well wort it, and more so for an og epic owner, thats where this battery really shines.

This is Ksmullins, posting this for a team member. Just an update on what the battery can do with an Epic Touch.

I agree with you

I moved over to the nexus so i have an extra 3300 seido with case in new condition if anyones interested
They most certainly are not, the 1800Mah batteries are just a lil bit thicker. Fortunately for us, there is just enough clearance to put the battery cover back on. It's a tight fit, but it works.

For those look specifically for replace THUNDERBOLT batteries (not Rezound)

Enjoy

Thanks for sharing but unfortantly for me it is the 1400 mAh , battery sucks for time use.
I purchased the 1800 mAh from nepsoulja on eBay, 2 for just a hair over $10 and gets me 18 hours + with hard use. (comes with a charger too.) Been using it for a few months now and no problems.

I just won an auction from the same guy for the 2 1800mah batteries and an external charger for $9.75 including shipping . I guess after a week or so I can report back on the quality.

Sounds pretty slick, although how can you be sure it's not a knock off. You don't want to get screwed over with batteries..

Would like to wait n see Mpj Extended Batteries for S5 SM-G900

My wife is very likely to switch her S3 for a new S5 next month. We are dead impressed with their 8500mah battery on my Note 3 so far, so she would also like to give it a shot on her S5. Anyone here knows whether/when will they push out extended batteries for SV? Thank you.

Ok, I asked them directly yesterday and they said it is going to pop up within one or two weeks of release of S5.
MPJ going to have 4300 mAh/8600 mAh extended battery. The 4300 mAh without NFC will ship on 15 April, with NFC on 20 April and 8600 mAh probably on 25 April.

With NFC normally costs around $3 more than non-NFC
How does that battery fit in with the normal cover? It says so on the order page... I'm guessing its fake?

Thanks for the information. We already pre-ordered 4300mAh as replacement. Got the SM-G900V and the battery life is quite good on it so far, but still we will have to plug it in before bedtime, and that was playing games, surfing the web, downloading apps, texting, etc.

X-ray of batteries

My experience is that the cheap e-bay batteries just makes the phone unstable. The 2450mAh gold battery works fine. However, here is an x-ray of the three different batteries. Looks like there is a little difference in the circuits. Even though it doesn't say much, I think it's interesting, but then again I'm a bit of a nerd....

Since the Gold battery got more Mah it would last longer, right?
Does it really last much longer? How much?

The gold batteries are just labeled as having a larger capacity but in general they have less than samsung batteries. I´m having here some of them around and would say they are about the half of what they are labeled to be. So not really a good choice exept you get them really cheap (5€ each) like I did.

AFAIK Samsung batteries are "bumb" ones- there's only overcharge protection circuit (even for high-end models) and NFC antenna for "N" model.
Some older models (like i5700) had also resistor to distinguish original batteries from knock-offs (if resistor was missing or had incorrect value bootloader didn't charge the battery at all).
I'd say there's not much to investigate

Do other type of larger batterys like the gold one have overcharge protection? if i bought a unoffical battery whats the % chance of it blowing up?

bigger battery?

As we all know you cant remove battery in note 5, but today when i got it they mentioned battery replacement in 1 year for free. So then i googled it and found the case on the back does come off, unscrew in 14 slots and you see samsungs battery and can remove it. So if that is possbile can we add more juice? Example on note 3 it comes with 3200mAh right? On ebay i bought a 4200mAh same size. So if back case is removable and the battery is replaceable this should be possbile?
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Samsung+Galaxy+Note5+Battery+Replacement/51173#
The only issue I could see running into a bigger battery would be fitting it inside the phone. Those Chinese manufacturers that claim they are 5000mAh and the same physical size are yanking your chain, or are just terrible batteries. I'm sure if Samsung could have fit a larger capacity battery in the device, they would have. Your best bet is a Mophie or other external battery case.
http://m.ebay.com/itm/4200mAh-Batte...00-N9002-N9005-N9006-/331158602360?nav=SEARCH
Is the battery i got inside my note 3. Its actually a bit slimmer than samsungs battery, and the extra 1000 mAh is noticable as in the phone lasted longer and didnt discharge as fast. I found on ebay people selling note 5 internal batterys at 3000mAh. So im guessing no 1 has made a battery with more juice same size yet or they are in the process. But lets say note 5 active...the rumors of a bigger battery. If it is exactly the same size and everything is the same...we should be able to buy the active battery and inerset it right?
Obviously this isn't a bigger battery, but reaches the same goal. http://www.mophie.com/shop/juice-pack-note-5

because of what samsung stated. The 4gb, higher resoultion, chipset all should drain the battery because of the power hungryness. Due to the chipset being more...advance, power compustion is reduced by like 40% or something. Plus the fast charging and being more energy effceint.
as for the power case, yes i got 2 of them as well
Battery seems ok this phone hasnt had 2 full cycles yet
