I decided to do some sd card testing because I wanted to know if our phone could take advantage of a Class 10 card. Here are the resaults. Enjoy!

i did a test on Patriot Class 10 32GB Micro SD on my Sensation. everything went quite smooth, for 10 hrs...after that Sensation can't detect the card anymore. Put the card into card reader, PC can't detect card. so all data in the card was gone and the card is now rendered unusable!
tried on a Transcend Class 10 16GB, Sensation couldn't detect the card at all!
put in a Sandisk Class 4 8GB, Sensation immediately detected the card and i'm still happily using the card for 3 days without incident...
in fact, my Asus Transformer had the same issue with a Patriot class 10 32GB card. wiped the data on the card and rendered it useless...
so any info that i should know abt regarding class 10 MicroSD Card?
thx
I have no solution for you..
I can only say that i am using a Transcend Class 10 16GB card
with no problem. Maybe the problem lies within your phone?
but it happens to my HD2, Asus Transformer and my Sensation...
three devices with the same problem?
i really dunno...
If the card couldn't be read by your pc or 3 other phones, that would lead me to believe that your card is bad. Hopefully you bought it from a reputable seller with a solid return policy and you can just try a new one.
Ive had this problem a few times, its usually the card. I was able to detect mine using Micro SD Adapter but i couldnt open it up. I used Paragon Partition Manager (only thing that detected it) did a full wipe (takes a longgg time 5-7 hours) and then reformatted using windows to just a FAT32, then used Clockwork recovery to partition EXT. It worked fine after that, it was my old 8gb card
I've bought a 16GB Class 10 microSD from Patriot. No problems at all. works fine and is very fast.
Your card must be broken...
I recently bought a new 16GB Class 10 micro sdhc card and it seems to be giving me a lot of problems. It reads and writes data perfectly fine, but after a while the card fails giving damaged SD card, format for using it. Is it jus me or are class 10 cards not usable on the i9000

Class 10 cards are recomanded on any device.. what brand is your card ?
I use a Samsung 32GB micro SDHC class 10 card for about 6 months now and it works perfectly fine. Before I had a Sandisk class 6 card and it gave me "damaged card" a few times. So I think it doesn't have anything to do with the class per se. Maybe your card is really damaged and should be replaced
Maybe You're using some app for card.
Once time I've got app to make card cache bigger, but everytime I plug&unplug phone to PC my phone show broken card.
i have a 32gb class 10 too and it works fine...it's samsung

I have read a lot about SD card issues that deal with not reading 64gb or "try reformatting the card" this is not my issue.
My issue is that when i press gently on the sd card slot when the sd card is inserted, I get an error stating that the sd card was unexpectedly removed as if the connection was shorting out.
Anyone else notice this issue? I don't want to return my phone if it is a common hardware build quality issue.
I need a few volunteers to simply take off the battery cover and (with the phone on) gently press down on the sd card slot and report if the phone reports that the sd card was unexpectedly removed. This way we can test if this is a common hardware/build quality issue or if it is specific to my phone.
Report back here!
Much thanks!
no problems here. 32gb class 10, blue 32gb phone.
no problems here either, 32gb class 10 sandisk, white 16gb phone.
No problems here. Blue 32 with a 32g samsung class 10 metal card.

Check your card in a computer. Sometimes phones cannot read cards but computers can.
Buy new card!
Does anyone else have an issue with there phone telling you that your SD card is slow ?
I had a Sandisk 64gb Micro SD card and when i formatted it to use it as internal storage it told me the card appears to be slow and some apps may become juddery....
So i purchased a Sandisk Extreme Class 10 64gb memory card but get exactly the same message, am i missing something ?

I seem to have the same problem except I don't have the option to go ahead and format it. It says: SD card too slow for use as internal storage. This SD card is too slow for use as internal storage.
To format an SD card as internal storage, try using an UHS Speed Class 3 SD card. This was with a Samsung Evo Class 10 SD card. I then went and got a UHS speed class 3 SanDisk Extreme card like it specifies and I still get the same error. It won't let me go ahead and format it.
