I have Sony Ericsson x10 mini pro (2.1 update 1)
First of all, what firmware version are you running? No good to us saying Android 2.1, cos theres loads of versions.
The last time I rooted, I used SUperOneClick with RAgeAgainstTheCage (which might flag up as a virus - tell your antivirus to go away). Shouldnt take more than about five minutes as far as I can remember.
hi had same prob with mine but did get it to root using superoneclick when you used superoneclick d id you connect your phone to pc and press charge instead of connect

unfortunately since i have updated to 2.3 root has become a dream for me. rooting process goes as far as aquiring root shell and then, boom! it's gone! and when i try to re-open z4 android force closes it!
any ideas?
I suggest you to look at the following link to root there some people rooted their phones using different versions of z4root. So, you may need to try different versions of z4root to try luck and also need to be patient while the process may take long time root and reboot.

i just realized you have gingerbread. now that brings you down to two options:
1. try using gingerbreak again (i believe this is the only rooting method for gingerbread but i may be wrong. if that doesnt work then try...
2. downgrading back to froyo:

heres a list of the stock firmware:

(keep in mind that step 2 can result in your phone bricking if you do not follow the instructions carefully or an unexplainable accident occurs)

Hi, I have posted a thread like this a while ago and it has not been resolved so i need to start it again. I have a Motorola Spice (XT300) from mobilicity and i had it rooted and then it broke so they sent me a brand new one. The problem is that when I went back to root it, superoneclick keeps "Not Responding" in windows. I did the root on this same computer and it worked the first time and now this keeps coming up and I have all of the sufficient Drivers installed and I have tried this on 3 DIFFERENT COMPUTERS!!!! I have usb debugging on and z4root does not work at all so I am assuming that it is a software bug. I have tried different versions too and they all crash but the only version that works for this specific phone is 1.7 so PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The phone is basically unusable without flashback (Bloatware) uninstalled so if here are any alternatives to this software or if someone can help me, it is very mutch appreciated
Thanks in advance

Settings...
What are the settings / steps that you are using in Super One Click?
Hello everybody and first of all, forgive me for my English. I am French and I have found no help on the French forums.
Here is my problem : I have an Android Startrail Edition 2.2 (ZTE Blade Gen 2 if I understood correctly) and I wanted to root it, to use Link2SD in particular.
But it is impossible.
I tried the UnlockRoot method and Z4Root method, without success. Each time, everything goes well, the SuperUser application appears but it does not work. And why? Just because my phone is not rooted. When I go into the settings, it is still the original version of ZTE that appears. And apps like CheckRoot tell me it is not rooted. In fact when I do the experiment with Z4Root, once I engaged the TempRoot and I restart the app, I still have the choice to root my phone but don't have the "un-root" option.
In short, it looks like I have a "anti-root" mobile phone
Help me, please, my internal memory overflows
Thank you in advance.
Please
Try rooting with SuperOneClick

ZTE Blade? You could try this method: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/ZTE_Blade_(Gen2):_Root_and_Recovery#Rooting_the_ZTE_Blade
I have also problems with root on ZTE Blade device. I use z4root - this tool working and I get message "Your device is rooted" but ZTE Blade isn't rooted.
I clear internal memory (I have more than 50MB) and I launch z4root again. After this I have rooted device!
Thank you very much for your answers.
Zielokcom, That's exactly right. I will try your method and if it does not work, then I will test those of others.
I'll let you know.
