My little brother has a Cincinnati Bell Blaze or Commtiva Blaze or any other of the 10 names this phone has... He flashed CM6.1 to the phone and now the phone is barely functional and shuts down 10-20 times a day at random. He has ClockworkMod Recovery on it which I'm very famailiar with as I use it on my Vibrant. He didn't make a backup of the original firmware first but I've located the original OS which is an img.tar.gz file. Is there a way to convert this to a clockwork recovery zip? And if not what would I use to flash this original Rom to the phone?
Thanks in Advance.
Edit: Here's the link to the file... http://data.sean-feeney.com/apk/blaze.img.tar.gz
Anyone at all?

Hi, new Android user here.
I was trying to root my Nexus S phone yesterday and I'm having problems. There is a lot of rooting guides out there and I used one from xda and also one from unlockr.com. Managed to root the phone ok (I think), but everytime I flash a custom ROM, the phone won't start at all, it just sits at the boot up screen and repeats itself.
So I'm thinking, I should just start over again. So I flash the stock ROM from xda back to 2.3.1. Everything seems ok, the phone starts up... but it's always stuck on airplane mode and the phone itself doesn't even show stuff like IMEI, mac address anymore.
So now I figure I've probably messed the phone up enough and need help lol. How do I go about reflashing the stock ROM and getting my Nexus back to out of the box condition (Stock ROM and no custom bootloader)?? Any guides or step by step instructions would be very helpful.
Thanks
Did you wipe before flashing roms?

Maybe flashing the KB2 modem would help that but the 9020a came stock with 2.3.3 and not 2.3.1 so that could be it...I'm not sure but that software wasn't meant at all for ours so it could be part of the problem. But if I was you I'd take a look at this thread wich has all the stock software for your phone. Make sure you wipe everything in clockework and then flash the stock rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13123996&postcount=39
dsixda uploaded the stock backup and the stock recovery, you can read more at that link, good luck hope it helps
You can download the full stock ROM from the link below:

Move the zip file to sdcard. Boot into recovery and flash the ROM. It should get you back to stock 2.3.4 ROM, all locked.

Well i am new to htc and just moved from samsung which has a very different boot loader. I rooted my htc sensation, super cid it and s-off. However when i flashed a custom rom insert coin. I did not make any backup or any nandroid backup (really stupid of me) since samsung has the download mode to go back to stock recovery easily. The thing i am facing is i can go to boot loader it displays s-off hboot and radio. However when i put the PG58IMG.exe it updates the recovery but when i take it off my sd card it shows image not found. I have team win recovery at the moment and i can boot into that as well. I have tried to flash the rom over and over again. This whole problem occured when i flashed the firmware update for insert coin. It runs into boot loop. Is there any way i can recover the stock version.
Thanks in advance i am really a noob for htc. And can you please provide me with the exact files please i have looked into htc sensation thread for 2 hours almost flashed everything but doesnt work for me. And i am using my laptop for the transfer of files since i cannot put any files while the phone plugged in.

Re: Clockworkmod
Gday mate i was wondering what version of clockwork mod are you using on your GS3 telstra 4G thanks for your time
This is stock recovery. no clockwork mod. this file if primarily for user that would like to revert back to stock before taking there phone in for a service.
or are in need of the stock kernel and recovery for some reason without the 1GB download
I have a THL W100 Rev1 Phone.
Recently I installed CWM Recovery on it. I also flashed my original(Stock) rom to a Miui Rom I found on Needrom.
Problem is, Data won't work on that Rom, for whatever reason, so I'm not interested in keeping it and much rather go back to my original rom.
I tried finding the Stock rom for my phone, but some are in .rar files and require a different flashing method...
Can someone point me in the right direction so I can get back my stock rom? Is there a .zip file I can use in CWM Recovery?
Thanks for the help in advance....I'm sorry for the noob question...

In order to flash .rar files you need to use the program SP flash tool on your pc. You can find tutorials on Needrom.
