okay, i dont know if this has to do with sky raider, so please correct me if im wrong...im new to rooting and all that
but anyway, i tried to install the update and it told me the package was not signed correctly
SkyRaider 3.5 has a custom modified version of Flash 10.1 so that the included Hulu app works properly. It's the same as the market version.
HOWEVER, if you're really hell-bent on installing the version from the market. You must first uninstall Flash 10.1, then download and install the market "update"
Thanks, I was just wondering...like I said I'm new to all this stuff
Is there a way to remove the update notification? When I go into the market and look under my apps it shows an update available for flash. I dont want to do the update.

Hi
I rooted my G1 a while back and everything was fine I have then updated to the latest version of cyanogen 5.0.7 and some of the standard google apps are not showing in the launcher but are showing under manage applications below are some of them
Amazon mps
SlideME Application Manager
Work Email
YouTube
Can anyone think of what I have done wrong, I am unsure on when these disappeared whether before or after the latest update. I have tried to reinstall ERE36B Google Addon but still no luck.
Thank you for any help
Cheers
Mike
I have managed to fix this by doing a wipe and reinstalling everything. I think this was caused by one of the themes I had on 4.0 as it hide some of the apps in the launcher, but when I updated to the new version I could no longer use that theme.
Here's a new Market 2.2.7.
As always, please make a Nandroid before anything. Install at your own risk.
Enjoy.

It's been updated for those on Android 2.1 still.
If you're on 2.2.6 already and it's working fine, I suggest don't try installing this. Gave me some errors and took me a short while to figure out how to get my 2.2.6 working without the FC's going on again.
For those experiencing FC's and such:
1) Uninstall all market versions from your phone.
2) Reboot (not hot boot or shell reboot)
3) Install Market version 1.82 (APK HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/?51htm8lag77552b)
4) Reboot into recovery and flash Market 2.2.6 (update zip file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?p5sa881tg6dv5ya)
Everything should be ok from that point onwards again.
It seems to me that there are some core libs that the 2.2.6 version requires, which apparently come form the 1.82 versions.
Enjoy. =)
This version requires a library called com.android.datamessaging, which is probably specific to the rom this was pushed to. 2.2.6 does not carry this requirement.
is there a 2.2.7 version for non rooted phones?
im not rooted.have 2.2.6 but i want 2.2.7 but this com.vending...apk wont install
I am running MicroMod's v3.6 Froyo FRG83, which uses Enom 2.12.x as base. Today after I cleared the market cache and data, market app was updated automatically from 2.12 to 2.2.7.
Does this version works for CM 6.1.0 Nexus One?
I just received 2.2.7 in a silent OTA update.
ruined my 2.2.6 install.... now I cant get it back even with the steps above
My market just updated itself to 2.2.7, no notification received.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
When I flash this in recovery it doesn't install. Any suggestions?

You may need to uninstall your current version of market first.

I have a Motorola Milestone on Telus running Cyanogen 6.1.2 for Milestone (Android 2.2, leaked Motorola kernel). My only issue is that the Android Market web site says that I have not opened the market recently on my device and to open it and try to download again. This is not true, and I am able to download and install both free and paid apps from my phone, however the web site will not work. Everything else on the phone functions as it should, with no problems (push, apps2sd, JIT, etc.)
I have tried clearing the market cache, and the download manager cache, as well as reflashing the market via openrecovery. So I was wondering How might I get the web site to be able to download apps to my phone?
Any help appreciated, thank you
*BUMP*, please. Oh I figure I should also mention that installing the stock version of the market wasn't working so I downloaded a blue version by Pendo and replaced the .apk in the update zip with the default 2.2.11 vending.apk and flashed via Androidiani.
Final *BUMP*, I promise. Hope somebody can help me

the new one DID work but then stopped working where you can not download an APPS or update any apps. I was just able to update 2 apps but then it stopped working again and wont even download. When I was able to revert back to the OLD market, everything worked. There is a BIG forum discussion on the android market forum about this issue and someone else also said going back to the old market solved their issue. SO, I would like to get a flashable version of the old market.... Thanks...
Here is the old market that has the updater script stuff for Clockwork recovery.

Well, I flashed this and now the market doesnt know what is installed on my phone. for instance ENHANCED EMAIL just says PURCHASED but its already installed. It was able to download but it wont install. I did run MARKET DOCTOR but it couldnt fix the market.. any ideas?\
Update: I was able to get the apps to show up my CLEARING CACHE and DATA from MARKET... BUT 99% of the time UPDATES will NOT install .. they will download but not install. once in a while they will. HOWEVER if I uninstall the APP and hen install the update as if it were a new APP install it works.. any ideas??
So I'm too new to post this to the dev thread, otherwise I'd have posted to the rom post.
I have been trying to install the netflix, netflix_mediaclient_246.apk. Before updating the prime 1.7 I was on the stock 3.2 update, without netflix installed. I updated to Prime1.7 and added the pcb theme (Wicked cool theme BTW)
I've tried a couple of sources, but when I attempt to install the netflix app, it says installing, then goes I get an error, "Application not Installed"
When reviewing the thread, some people referenced downloading netflix from the market, but I don't see it in the market, so I used downloaded copies.
Prime ostensibly already has the netflix patch, but I do need to get the basic software installed. Why would an app not install? I've never seen this type of error before.
Thanks
Have you enabled apps from third-party sources in the settings?
Yes, and I've sideloaded other apps since I went prime.
try using an app installer, and make sure that you don't have a bad version of netflix already installed.
I had done a full nvflash restore before going to honeycomb 3.2 so there is no previous NetFlix Install. I've tried easyInstaller, apk installer and appInstaller from the market all result in the same thing.
I've tried installing the .apk from an SD card mounted in the keyboard, from microSD on the tablet itself, and from the tablets own internal sdcard. All have the same result.
The application starts to install, says installing, then I get the red x with Application Not Installed.
I'm wondering if I should reimage prior to adding prime, try installing netflix and the reinstall prime - but I don't want to have to rebuild my data again
I was having the same issue, but ran the apk from total commander on my micro sd and it installed from there. However I am on rooted stock 3.2.
Total commander seems a cool little app- sadly like everything else. i get Application not Installed.
boo
I'm thinking at this point it's cwm restore, install netflix, re-prime. bah, I'll wait till the weekend, when resyncing touchdown will go much better.
SOLVED:
Grabbed the .apk from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076150
Named mediaclient_1. I was trying the 246 apk that I found on a few other threads.
Happy netflixing.
