MD5 checker - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

I've had this program for several years now and it works great! I know there are numerous thread for md5 checkers, but I see now reason not to share this with everyone. I have used all kinds of them in the past 20 years and they all work differently. This one is very simple and very self explanatory.
Extract to your Desktop
Double click
check your MD5
Disclaimer: I did not code this program, Midwavi made it and I do not think they are around anymore!

Hmm, looks simple enough. But you can just use Astro to check md5 sums lol.

I like to download the radio image straight to my sdcard from the web and check the MD5 hash right on my phone. That way I know it's correct and there are no errors copying. ManD5 works well for this, and its free on the Market. I'm sure there are others but its the one I've been using.

This isn't for your phone , and I didn't post it for use on your phone!
The radio image was an example. Obvious!
Also, more than obvious it's for use on a computer. I mean, this is the Development forum, is it not? I'm sure there's a few "Developers" here that could use this. I found it to be a quick accurate piece of code and figured I would share!

What's even more obvious is that you posted it in the wrong section. Notice that the rest of the topics are posting developed roms, kernels and mods?

i'll go with wrong forum.
also here is a better way to do this - http://www.md5summer.org/

Wrong forum yes...but he meant well with his post. Gotta give him credit at least it wasn't a stupid newb question asking how to root!
CM7 nightly

I rooted my dinc and backed up the rom it was just as rooted. Now when I try to flash a new rom on it, the stock version comes on with the htc sense. I try and restore the default and it says MD5 miss match or something. Will this fix the problem?

Radio Flashing Tutorial (HELP)

Can one of you Gurus write a quick radio flashing tutorial, I've been reading and I can't seem to figure out where the radio flash fits into the equation.
The file for a radio flash is much smaller than the file for a ROM flash but when it is opened it appears that it would over write the ROM when installed through Hard SPL

Anyone posting on a message board obviously can read. Thank You for the useless comment.
Thank you for the link, however I have seen the link posted via the stickied thread, before I made the post. It is WHY I made the post.
When the radio was flashing it went to 95% then froze into recovery mode and would not allow HardSPL to run and also would not reinstall the ROM. I ended up
reinstalling Duttys V4.
I wanted a quick tutorial to make sure I did every thing right and to determine what the cause of the freeze was so I don't brick my phone
Alltheway is right. Ok now I will go into the search function. That situation has been asked many times, and answered many times.

1. Download HardSPL v1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334679
2. Install HardSPL: check persianowns Kaiser HardSPL Walkthrough Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaCt5pUn6iI
3. Download the Radio of Your choice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349375
4. Install Radio: Just like installing a ROM or HardSPL double click on the Kaiser_RUU.exe file and follow the on sceen instructions.
5. Pat on the back! You are done!

Alltheway is right that I could have read the same thing again and hoped for a different result. Insane. At the same time that he is "right", he is equally foolish to come to the board and give a suggestion on how I could have made better use of my time. He clearly took time out of his day to host/post his Samuel Jackson GIF and think of such a witty bit of information to add along with it, when he could have simply explained the process involved.
The situation you are referring to that I could have searched about (install freeze), was already taken care of yesterday so Thanks.
ser00405, Thank You thats all that I needed. If the radio install show occur exactly like a ROM install, my process is correct and I believe that there is something wrong with the radio RAR.

how can i get this sense UI theme?

well the lockscreen is from sensehero ROM, i tried pushing the HtcLockScreen.apk but that didnt change anything.
i thought it would be more for devs since it has to do with breaking down the ROM
and your theme is from where?
maybe i can cook it up for you, just need to know where the them is form, and which rom you want it on

i found this link with the lockscreen and the launcher. the lockscreen is a little different but w.e (talkin about the curved one not the straight one)

hmm.. im using sanpeis latest ROM right now (in sig). you think you can create this? or help me create it?
thanks either way

thanks
i was also thinking about using your MOD but im not sure what it is exactly hahaha
i took the htclockscreen.apk and com.htc.resources.apk from sanpeis and the themed rom
i tried placing the images into sanpeis version but it didnt change anything, do i have to mess with .xml files? im not sure how to though..
im trying to do the lockscreen first and work on the launcher after..
http://depositfiles.com/files/aji72anj8
i uploaded a rosie.apk file. it has all the images and whatnot included. it loads and runs, the only problem is that the launcher/phone/newwidget bar is overlapped with the older one, and a few other problems.
im not sure how to mess with XML files but it looks like im the only one who wants to work on this hahaha

Status: Deodexing the framework followed by apps.
I remember when people were calling BS at this... guess they've all been proven wrong?
Seems that's just an sdk to build apps for specific phones, so that cannot help "general android" atm....
K so theres a whole LOTTA depedencies in here. From their launcher to their non-launcher integrated apps, all have shared libs. I give up lol. For those wanting to give it a shot.
Download the zip. Extract it. Unyaffs system.img
Take framework/apps deodex them (use auto-deodexer)
Then try to figure out the dependencies. Btw, to deodex their launcher/home, u gotta add webwidget.jar to the classpath. Good luck

yea ophone is a pain in the ass. search this thread for it, someone a long time ago (a year +) made a rom that actually booted, but it had messed up graphics. cool to play with though... but even so, it's hard to port. I've tried to port it myself, and gave up.

[ROM] Closed

Closed until further notice, that's until I get my zip filing sorted out. Thanks to the one tester I had. Mods can delete this.

downloaded fine. put it on my internal sd card, tried to install thru CWM, and it aborted immediately with a status 0 error.

Thanks for your help mate.
for what its worth, the other rom posted also isnt working. maybe its our CWM? it backups and restores fine, but i dont think anything has been tested as far as flashing.
no cwm works fine, its just the roms themselves. hes getting status 0 because he has an old update-binary in there.
however you do need to be careful because the other rom (who im guessing was also using dsixdia's kitchen) was trying to use an update-script (which hasnt been able to be used since CWM 3.0, we are on 5.5.0.4 now... cwm 3.0 was out with froyo).
if you want proof of that go find something like the v6 supercharger script and flash that, or any of the many many flashable things that wont screw up your system (here is a really good one i recommend its a REALLY nioce anti theft app) or heck look in your own general section for a man that took some time making toggles for you guys http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620918 he seems to have it flashing through cwm.
the common denominator isnt cwm, its people using rom kitchens :/ if you want to use them to speed things along thats fine, really it is... however if your starting off and thats all you use then when things go wrong (like this or the other rom thread) you dont know how to fix it because you didnt learn on how things work.. just what options make your phone go zoom zoom! please dont take this as a bashing, but more of a "the more you know" kinda **** if your serious about rom development then pick up and learn.

QFT. It's best to learn the basics first, and go from there. Kitchens are bad news - don't use them, ever preferably, and at least not until you get the basics down. You'll have troubles otherwise.

What is safe to remove?

Shoot...can't remember off the top of my head...but anything by att...if you can't tell what app it is by the apk name open the apk up in 7zip and look for the icon
There's a bunch you can remove, and you can always use other stock based roms as a reference, an easy way to find out if its needed is go to rooted stock uclb3, get titanium back up and start uninstalling apps when your done getting rid of apps rebiot and see how your doing

There's an old saying that goes something like, "Greatness innovates, but genius copies". There's another one that states that, "Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery". There's another, somewhat XDA specific, that goes, "Read/search everything on the forum, then ask a question that hasn't already been asked and answered". With that preamble,
1 - This question is probably better posed in the Q&A section. Dev section is for, well, development.
2 - Taking a direction from the above quotes, download a debloated rom, unzip it, and compare to the stock rom. Read the OPs of some of the other roms, sometimes they list all the apps that have been removed. Mostly, you'll be looking to remove things from /system/app.
3 - Read up on deodexing and zipaligning, unless you plan to use as a base a rom that already has this done.
4 - Ask permission and cite sources if you use anyone else's stuff.
5 - Google, read, research, search again, repeat...
I know it might not be totally safe, but I found these APK sheets for the SGS2.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...1gdDJRekl4QmkyNmIzUmRvX2h3UDVkQXc&output=html
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...=0Ag43oj7rLQP4dENZcmhGN0ZUa3pHSENVeXlqUm5vV0E
I always use them as a guide when I go around trying to see what I can remove. It may or may not be totally compatible with the Infuse, but I haven't had any problems so far.
OP...this thread has been moved. Q&A threads should be created in the Infuse 4G Q&A section. Not in Development.
Finished De-Bloating, thanks for the lists dht2005. They were a big help.
