Vanilla Android 2. 2 music widget?

Anyone know where I can get the vanilla Android music widget for Sense? Sorry if this has been asked before but I searched the forums but couldn't find anything.

I think it is included. When you add a widget you should see two music widgets. One is labeled HTC, the other is labeled Android.
If you want the fancy ones from cyanogen mod they come with the custom music app by Eliot Stocker. I'm not sure if it can be installed without root, but if you are rooted you can push it to /system/app.
There are some good market widgets too, like pure music.

I think I know what you talking about but I like the big music widget from the cm6 Rom and damagecontrol 3. 5 Rom. Not the little bar music widget that comes with sense. Lol

If you know roms that have what you're looking for, then why aren't you downloading them and just taking the files from the zip?

Well then, that should tell you something. Either what ur looking for isn't compatible with the rom that you're using, or you just don't know how to push a file.
Both suck. Pick your poison. Have fun.

Got a winner... Search the market for music mod by eliot stocker. It is exactly the same one that is included in cm, and actually a slightly newer version. It will have all of the widgets and should install on any rom, even without root.

Hey all thought this might interest some of you out there who use their music players on their phones quite a bit
I just received a tweet from Amon_RA about this MP and figures i'd give it a look. i tell you what i think i found my new MP! gonna test some more and see what all i can't make it do but here is the link posted by Amon in his tweet

I just found my new music player! Love the Mp3 tag editor and can choose music from different folders

It wont scan any of my music thats in my My Music folder!! Keeps telling me zero files scanned..So it does nothing for me..
Mkaes no sense since every other player does.

Yeah thats strange bc right now i think your running the same set up i am. MIUI 1.25 with all current fixes including front cam, correct?

It wouldnt find mine either, just tell it to play the music from your Library instead of from folders. Works perfect after that, although I still dont know why it wont find my Music folders...

Anyone know if it plays streams as well? I love tune wiki for the shoutcast support, but i hate the interface for the mp3 support....this looks nice thanks for the heads up on this one....

I have the same issue. Running fresh 3.3.0.1.

Not Finding Music Fix
What you need to do is go into your file browser and move any folders containing music into a new folder made by the apk called "music folders" problem solved.

OK IM LEGALLY BLIND!! LOL I found it!! God I feel like an idiot!! Oh well that won't be the first or last time for that to happen. But yeah album art in the widget would be awesome. Very impressed can't wait to see what they do with this.

Found this like in a thread started by JaJsmeMatty. Thought I would share this over here. Installed on evo running cm7 nightly32. Used root explorer to remove music.apk from system/app then just installed like any other aok. Works awesome. Its sweet. I'll post the like to the other forum once I get to a comp.

I'm running it on CM7 Nightly Build 30 and it keeps force closing on me.

Just installed on my EVO running MikFroyo 4.4. No need to remove any other music app unless it has the same name. Mine was named htcmusic.apk so I just installed it alongside of it. Sounds like this is gonna be really cool when they get the streaming running.

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys like about this player?
Other than it looks nice, I don't think it's any better than the MIUI player, this player seems to be the most functional so far....ie. karaoke feature, creating playlists, etc...

just rebooted twice and everything worked fine for me. You could try wiping cach and dalvik then install. What rom are you on?

Personally, its mainly asthetic looks. Has the 3D gallery appeal, which is nice, clean looking. On the Honeybread theme [which I use] the widget is actually completely see-through which is fancy.

Did you push the apk to /system/app/?? When I did this it force closed all of the time. Just installing it like normal..no adb..no root explorer..Works Great! I did remove the original music.apk after installing this one so I would not get prompted to choose which to use.

I wondered that myself. Wherever it gets it from it has backgrounds for everything I got. Once a widget is implemented, I would call it complete. Oh, and it needs an icon, too.

This is the newest available Miui Music Player. (Not really newest, but its the newest available) It has a very nice-looking and fast UI. I've spent quite some time translating it for all you folks out there. Hope you people will enjoy it.
-If there are any anomalies/ weird phrasings, do feel free to tell me.
-If there happens to be any chinese apps you need help in translating, feel free to request too.
-Do use this music player to bake all your roms etc, but please do have the heart and give credit. (after all this is my first time to create, and to share my work)

Would love to change the color. And if show lyrics worked? The search option didn't work well. I hit search "kim" by mnm didn't show up tried a few.searches didn't go well. Like favs.option and design, shake to skip awesome. Great job keep it up...a lil help of getting the album art would b nice :0) . Great widget! (Color change would b cool.)
