what this means is simple, you can do whatever you want with this software
Instructions are simple, this uses revolutionary's awesome zergrush exploit its just a slightly modified script from my transform-ultra AIO. anyways yall might be wondering why a sprint guy is here giving yall this, well its cuz my good buddy k0nane (the one currently working on removing ciq for yall) asked me to stop by the irc channel last night. we got some of the partitions mapped out and he told me that you guys can use zergRush so here ya have it
set usb debugging on (settings > applications > development > USB debugging)
Install teh drivers
plug in your phone and let teh drivers FULLY INSTALL
extract the entire root zip file (dont just pull what you want out of it, it doesnt work like that)
run the included batch file/sh file depending on your os
linux users i know youve got it handled but for you mac users that dont understand how to do anything more then dump money in apples pockets there is a readme in there

no adb is finding your phone, otherwise the exploit wouldnt run. its just odd that they arent leaving anything interesting. not sure why its not running the way it should, other people on this forum have said they used zergrush just fine, the reason why i posted this is so that you can have it done via script and have busybox and a remount script thrown in there.
here i had originally posted teh file with my old copy of zergrush, i had since updated teh zip with the latest from revolutionary. i reverted back to the old one try downloading it again and see where that gets ya

Well, I'm sure I may be doing something wrong.
But I simply set my phone to usb-debugging and plugged in the usb cable.
Then extracted your zipped up folder and then right-click-run-as-administrator on root.bat.
ADB.exe is definitely in the same folder structure as root.bat.

If you are running windows vista or windows 7 and you are just right-clicking on the bat and running as administrator you are not running the adb.exe as an administrator. You should right-click on cmd.exe in the start menu, select run as administrator then navigate to the folder extracted. For instance if you saved the file in your users downloads folder then navigate to: x:\users\[user name]\downloads\Skyrocket-Easy-Root and then type root.bat and press enter. This will allow the root.bat to call adb.exe properly and will execute the process.

NO Root Acces
Does anyone can help me, I have no root access over my phone?
When I run Android Commander, the bottom status bar says "Root Access : NO"
I don't understand what went wrong.
I tried to click the status bar, it just keep on loading.

Doesn't even find my HTC Sensation (adb drivers installed+rooted), while both QTADB and Droid Manager are able to access the phone.
So it's a no go for me, too bad, looks promising.

Maybe because you are runing jb mr1 4.2.2

For all those that get "Root Access : NO" on rooted phone, it's because adbd is running in "secure" mode.
Try adbd Insecure v1.30. It worked for me:

You need to overwrite the files that are in $ROOT/Android Commander DIR/bin/ with the ones that are from an up-to-date sdk.
There are 4 files.

Above files as mentioned are for 4.3+ but you are on 4.2.2.

I am successful in connecting the device , but I can't access the path data/data . When I click on data/ it doesn't displays anything.I require it for development purpose, so has to access the database file of the apps
And one more, can I backup apps along with data like Titanium backup

Hello forums, I am new to xda, and to the motorola section so if I misplaced this post please forgive me. I have check all over the place trying to figure out my problem. I just got the Atrix 2 and tried running a one-click root program only to get the error "more than one device and emulator" I have read online, and from what I can understand that it may be an "adb" error, and that I need to locate the adb devices by using the command prompt (as seen here in the comments of another website cant post cause I'm a new user)
Not being very tech savvy I'm not quite sure how to control cmd, and if this is even the right thing to be looking for. If there is anyone who could walk me through this I would be infinitely grateful. Through these forums, or perhaps email, or skype. I don't want to bog down anyone, but I have been looking forward to getting and rooting this phone for quite a while now.

Not sure about the error message, but have you made sure before you try to run the root exploit that your device (in settings/applications) you have the "Unknown Sources" and "USB Debugging" boxes checked?

Yea, I made sure to enable both of those settings, since then I have tried messing around with the usb settings. When I set the phone to "charge only" get past the first phase and the phone reboots. However, upon rebooting I get the same error of having more than one device and emulator. I have also tried starting the root with Mass Storage on. Does anyone the source of this error, or some key words I could start researching?

Are you getting that error only when connected to your PC?

I'm not quite sure what you mean, I dont get error when the phone is disconnected or connected via usb except when running the root program. Thank you for the article on the "bluestacks" problem. I'm not running that program, but I guess it's possible that something else on the computer could be conflicting. I checked task manager, nothing there. The other message talking about killing the adb server, how would I go about doing that? Like I said I'm not super tech savvy, so when it comes to command prompt stuff I have problems. Any suggestions?

Are you running Android 2.3.6. and which one click rooting method are you trying? You may want to download THIS ROOT EXPLOIT FILE, save to your C: drive, and plug in your device, set to "charge only". Then navigate to the C: drive, open the folder, and click the "click to root" option within the folder.

HEY GUYZ, HERE IS A VERY EASY WAY TO ROOT BLUESTACKS BETA -1, BUT THE ONLY DISADVANTAGE IS THAT IT WORKS FOR ONLY VERSION 0.7.2.751.....
I HAVE TESTED THIS METHOD OF ROOTING AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR ME AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE IT WITH ALL OF YOU.
THINGS THAT YOU ARE GONNA NEED
1. FILE SPLITTER/JOINER SOFTWARE- DOWNLOAD IT FROM HERE AND INSTALL IT.
2. THREE ROOT FILES THAT YOU HAVE TO JOIN LATER USING THE ABOVE SOFTWARE.
DOWNLOAD THESE THREE. Remember that all the below three files should be in one folder.
ROOT.001
ROOT.002
ROOT.003
The password for the above files is : erbil. Thnx to Riyal for reminding me about the password.
METHOD OF ROOTING
1. Open File Splitter/Joiner Software and select the tab "JOINING" and click on the adjacent button showing "1".
2. Here you need to select the file Root.0.7.2.751.001 i.e. the first file you have downloaded and then click on join button and wait for it to complete.
3. After the completion of the above process, you will find a new Root.0.7.2.751.7z file in the same directory as the part files.
4. Open this and extract the Root.fs and README.txt file.
5. Stop all the BlueStacks processes form the TASK MANAGER
6. Copy the ROOT.FS file to (Windows 7) C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Android. OR in (Windows XP) and C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BlueStacks\Android
7. After this RESTART BlueStacks and you will have the root access.
For sure check it with an app like Root Checker.

GameCiH not work!
My BlueStacks is Rooted But GamesCiH2 still say not rooted!

It didn't worked for me man had to reinstall bluestacks...It took a long time to load with the root than usual..

When I type in adb console - adb root - it says that adbd is restarting as root - and that's all.

I've follow your instruction and my Bluestacks is now rooted. Thank you for that.
But after it had been rooted, it pretty slow itself down. Do you guys have experience this incident?

I'm at step 6 and encountered one problem when copying the root.fs, it says "the action cant be completed because the file is open in HD-BlockDevice.exe". I have also opened task manager and closed all programs starting with HD. Any help would be appreciated!

I had 0.7.3.763 installed (and working). I wanted to try an app that needed a rooted version; so, I uninstalled 0.7.3.763 preserving user data and apps. I ran Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. I then installed 0.7.2.751 according to your instructions. When I came to the step of replacing root.fs, Windows (Vista w SP2) said the file was in use by another program -- even though the processes had been killed as instructed.
So, I rebooted in safe mode and still could not delete the original root.fs. So I rebooted into safe mode w command prompt and was finally able to replace the original root.fs.
One other thing to possibly be aware of... I have an older laptop; so, when I install BlueStacks, it tells me that it is installing a low res version.
The root.fs created by the install is 196083712 bytes. The replacement root.fs created by the above process is only 171966464 bytes.
After restarting windows into normal mode, BlueStacks just hangs on the Loading... screen. If I put back the original root.fs created by the Bluestacks installer, it runs fine, but is not -- of course -- rooted.

Thanks a lot root now works on my bluestacks running Win 64 bit

[PC-APP] SGN3 Mod Tool

DOES IT WORK? I am yet to receive my SGN3, so I haven't been able to test.
I made this tool originally for SonyEricsson Xperia X10, but have now modified it to work for our Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I hope it will make life a little easier when modifying files on the device. It uses ADB to pull and push files, change file permissions and much more - so users don't need to remember long command prompt/terminal emulator commands! It also has a nifty little application manager, which allows for quick installation, backup, and removal of both pre and self -installed software. It has a LogCat function to read and save logs on the go when investigating errors, as well as functionality to decompile/recompile APK, JAR and ODEX files, sign and zipalign APKs, and decompile System images. Finally, straight ADB shell access is integrated.

Instructions:
1. Download.
2. Extract archive.
3. * Install LinuxReader to GalaxyS3ModTool\tools\LinuxReader.
4. Run SGN3ModTool.jar!
*This step is only needed for the Decompile System function in the ROM Manager.
Note: Make sure your phone is connected in debug mode, you have root privileges, and unsecured your device's shell. The application will try to unsecure your shell if you haven't already, but worst case scenario you might have to do this manually.
Also, the manage ROMs functionality is still experimental, and the Recompile System function is disabled. If you know how these processes can be automated, let me know and I will incorporate the functionality.
If you have problems, let me know and I will try to sort them out with you. Keep in mind that often when a modification goes wrong, you can simply push back the original files and reboot. So keep backups handy!

you have to allow ADB to acces your device..
when you try to do anything with ADB, look at your phone screen, it will give you a popup that will enable you to 'allow ADB connections'

I watched my screen. I got no popups other than the original "usb connected" popup when I plugged in the usb cable.

this actually does work!
if somone still wants to use it for whatever reason you can:
get a kernel that is not SElinux enforcing (permissive).*
get adb insecure by chainfire and switch to insecure mode.
be sure that in the app it says:
Binary: Insecure
USB debugging: Enabled
should work, at least for me it did.
not sure if every custom kernel(permissive) works.
*lastest wanam exposed module has an experimental feature to set the selinux to permissive.
i havent tried it but maybe you can do the above with stock kernel and just setting permissive mode in wanam.
edit: does not work with stock kernel, at least for me.
i have not tested every function of this tool but connecting, pushing, pulling and so on work.
there are other tools that can do that, i wrote this just for information.

I was trying to use it to deodex the SamsungChineseIME apk and I got 2 questions want to ask.
1. when it asks for "Install Framework?", I choose the framework-res.apk extracted from my rom. But I also notice there is a twframeworkres.apk in the rom, do I need to include that also?
2. I came to a prompt asking me for "Select framework directory to reference" (as attached screen), I was hold back since I don't know what to choose for this.
