I hope TrevE doesnt mind me starting this thread first off. This is his customized version of the already sweet rom DarchLegend by DarchStar. Its been my daily rom since he put out it, I just thought Id make it a little easier for others to find and enjoy. And maybe inspire TrevE to share some more of his custum creations! I also want to take the opprotunity to Thank both DarchStar and TrevE for their most excellent work. This is just copy and pasted from TrevE's posts in the DarchLegend thread.
Awesome Rom darchstar. Over the weekend i made the plunge to 2.x, after the google sign in issues with the eris rom i came over to your legend. Already real optimized and usable I just have a tendency to tweak everything. I made a few changes to your v2 and figured id post them back if anyone else wanted, use any of it as you will. Ive been wiping and flashing all weekend so its probably safe but if your phone blows up thats your fault. This is now my daily driver rom thanks alot darchstar
heres the changes i rememberd i made:
-chaged a few icons
-Transparent notification bar
-Black dialer
-fixed apps2sd and threw in the script to do 'apps2sd off' if you dont want it
-changed lowmemkiller minfree to 1536,3072,4096,21000,23000,25000 making a huge difference in speed
-cleared lockscreen
-used nexus bootscreen
-made few changes to install script & init.d files
-added wifi tether & few more widgets.

the clear lockscreen, does it actually show the date on one line and does it show the 2 sliders? b/c when i tried the clear lockscreen on this rom a few days ago it was all eff'd up..

i actually like the lockscreen built into 4.1, but these other addons intrigue me..decisions decisions

I really like the skin and icons of this theme, but the memkiller is set too strict. Navigation is terminated after about 2 seconds. It can run in the background, but as the app tries to pull up a full screen app it is terminated.

Just tried out the ROM and you did some pretty good customizations, now the real test will be to see how the battery life is.......
I just will give it a charge and test it out now.

Hi all, I am a newbie, but an HTML User Interface Developer by trade. I have just started learning Android, I have an hTc Desire(not branded), hence I want to try helping everyone here and in the process grow my knowledge with this OS. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i chose here as i have a desire, and do not know much about other devices yet.
I thank everyone for all their hard work and I would love to be a part of this.
I am a graphics specialist, with 3D Animation experience, hence I offer my services to design for you as you require images and graphics for your apps/ROMs...(provided i am given enough time).

I have reworked the hTc Stock Sense UI, in a carbon fiber, glossy and a bit of dark brushed aluminium look, something sporty and racey. I try to keep alot of black and smoked colors in my theme, as i am told that black and dark colors on an AMOLED screen uses minimal or does not use much power at all.

Installation :
Ensure you have already done a full boot if you have just installed a new ROM
Do Nandroid Backup (USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, that's why we NANDROID backup)
Download and copy zip file to SD card
Do wipes (no need for factory reset, just dalvik cache and wipe cache) using clockwork
Install the zip from SD card
Might take long to boot maybe 10 mins mabe longer but be patient, lots of files to swap around. DO NOT PULL OUT BATTERY WHILE BOOTING.
Let me know if you have any issues or find any bugs

Thanx everyone for the positive comments, Radical is the bot seems posing with the bottle, it is merely an impression of me being happy, no negativity implied, but if you want to propose any ideas feel free to post here or PM me and i will try my best to create you an icon, avatar, UI, bootanimation, etc.

New Sense carbon fibre
Hi all i have been tinkering around with the sense ui theme, What i have been playing with are the icons in color (blue or green arrow set) and realistic icons, and the Sense buttons in Green lit up, blue lit up, etc
I have uploaded screenshots if you can tell me which ones appeal more to you, I can upload the .png files for you to use, however i'm not sure how to get them into the ROM yet...I am going to try and replace the original into the apk, and see it that works.
if you want the files just let me know which set you would like and i will upload the zip

Thanks, I am fond of the blue lit up one too, I will create a screenshot this evening with more of a neon glow on the blue and upload for you
The robot was just something i was toying with, possibly to animate in future, but thats a great idea, it will be a great idea to do a boot animation where he pops out of the screen and downs a bottle of Jack but that will probably come later on

I have played with various bootloader.zip images, but now i wish to challenge the HTC sense UI, maybe offer one in an aluminium/glass finish...Though I cannot for the love of it find the images used for that, maybe with the help of other more experienced developers i can get just the images used in the Sense UI. Later i could even tackle the Vanilla Launcher. Hopefully i can add benefits to the development of Android so that for Example the Sense UI does not need to be black only. I am open to other suggestions too.
Attached here are two 3D Android bots, drinking my fav, but he can do anything you want, you are free to use them as they are my own creations, as long as you just drop a mention to me that you are using them.

I have played a bit more with the blue neon for the sense bar. Please tell me if this is more or less what you had in mind or should i adjust it some more?
In the meanwhile I will create the rest of the skin that goes with it for all the other common apps

From my what I did I can tell you the following:
1- Theres the Framework.res, which contains the default Android theme/images.
2- Theres the HTC framework, which includes various Sense generic icons/images and the lockscreen.
3- Theres the applications, and included in them are the notification icons, like the ADB icon in PCSCII.apk.

Try apk manager: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695701
You can use it to unpack apks, edit the images, and then make them apks again.
I dont think system apks require signing...

It's been a rollercoaster of a ride but it's here: The Orbitals Live Wallpaper.
Orbitals LWP is the second spin-off from my original Target Live Wallpaper app.
Orbitals introduces a windows 8 style loading bubbles along with standard and knotted orbits (inspired by the Trefoil knot).
The color schemes are mostly tech/oss inspired and include Ubuntu, XDA, Slashdot and more.
The color scheme, trail length and speed of the orbitals will vary randomly and changed after every touch with a cool spin-in-and-out transition.
Let me know what you thought out even better let every one know by rating in the Google Play Store or donating.
So get cracking and check out the video, the source code and the app itself in the market (or have a look at my other work).

Just touching base to say I haven't forgotten you... but i have been very distracted
I got a bit distracted by the Ubuntu App Showdown, but I'm back onto Android now.
I've made some progress here with a spin out animation added. This week hopefully I'll get around to a "stop at 12" animation where the circles complete the circuit they are on and then bunch up at the top, I also need to restrict which animations are used for which orbits as some don't work with all animations now and finally the guys at FDroid also had a couple of suggestions I want to add code side.

Just uploaded v2 of Orbitals LWP.
So it should go live on the Play Store any moment now.
I've only added one new transition but I've also cleaned up how they work and combine so the next one should not be as difficult to add ... but I'll be working on ADBassist for a while, so it may be some time before I add another..
Until then enjoy v2 with zoom in and zoom out (and various other minor fixes).
