I have wiped my phone more than my own ass but this Trinity will only work solo. I'd rather skip it and keep my cm7 nightlies. Does anyone have a stock kernel? Don't want to reup everything

I'm not sure I understand the issue. If you flash the CM7 nightly it has a kernel buit in so if you just flash the rom and not a kernel you should be running the new nightly minus a custom kernel.
Thank u sir.

Well I like matrix KERNEL cuz it has been really smooth for me. I also like bugles Pete's KERNEL cuz it also makes my phone run really smooth. But it all depends on the phone also. It could run good for me but u could have issues. I say just test them all out and see what feels better for u.

I use Yennob-Base "Base1 -1.2 Overclock | Tiny Undervolt" by dfbonney, which can be found here.
im using miui with morfics teuv88 kernel. miui runs really smooth and it saves lots of battery. also try the other trinity kernels and the matrix kernel.
so now its your turn, flash and use them and decide whats the best kernel for you and your rom.

I've been on matr1x and I just upgraded to the latest version 6.5 and I've had no issues. Maybe over the weekend I will try a new one and report back.

If one doesn't mind needing a tool to overclock with.
I prefer a set clock and voltages without a tool.

G2x rooted running MIUI v1.0.1. Can you run any kernel with any ROM? Or do some not support others? Trying to run this kernel.
If the two work together, is there anything aside from the given instructions that I need to do?
1. reboot to CWM
2. Clear cache
3. Advanced, clear Dalvik
4. install zip from SDcard
5. Reboot

Also, if there's already a thread with basic kernel information, could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks, guys.
Hi,
Steps are correct. For about ROM and Kernel, I think yes, only some kernels run ok with roms.
Maybe I'm wrong... but my advice is don't take too much risks!
Bye, J.
Fix permission after flashing then reboot
Check dev section for kernel threads

I did that and my phone just boots to a black screen? Goes through stock LG, fancy LG, then stays at a black screen.
Halp?
Maybe u r using wrong kernel. Latest kernels works with the latest nightly only, for other roms u should lash the older kernel, check the dev section

I was able to find one from jboxer, but it only gave me a bootloop and didnt work.
Stock gives the best results, faux kernels don't have the performance I'm looking for and Dragons OTA kernel gives random reboots.
Does anyone have a flashable zip of the stock kernel or know how to compile one?
Any help, links, or work and effort is appreciated.

I don't think there is a Stock Kernel only. You will need to Flash the Complete Gingerbread Rom to get it. The one from jboxer was also a complete Rom.
Hi
I have flash liquid smooth and I was wondering what kernal I could try.
I know that asop ROM must have asop kernel support.
I try the furnaice and a hard time getting it to boot.
Thanks for any help!!!
