I have a Japanese Sharp Lynx 3D SH-03C on the Docomo network.
After looking for the last few days I can find no way of rooting this phone.
I have heard that it may have a protected NAND and it may be impossible to root.
Is that really possible?
I know I am new to Android, I only got my first Android phone last week. But should I give up all hope of rooting it?

I've got recently a sony xperia S(Lt26i) running gingerbread. After a week i received OTA update which transformed it into ICS 4.0.4.
Now, the problem is I'm a die hard gamer and loves to play them on a big screen also with the help of a ps3 controller' so, In order to connect my handset with ps3 controller I need to root my device. Though there is also an alternative of livedock but it is not currently available in india.
So, kindly help me considering above issue of How to root my device safely and easily with some app? Marginally I would also like to know that if i root my phone , then my phone's warranty will be dispatched but recently i was surfing and came to know that one could also unroot device so that it should not be noticeable by the company if something goes wrong!! Am i right?? If yes PlzzZ let me know about the above procedure in detail as I m a bit fat minded and like to know and learn in depth
thank you
Shivam.
Hello everyone.
I am new here and live in Canada .. I have the Lg-935 ( the USA version of the lg Nitro from what I have read). I was wondering what is the bet mod for it. I would like a upgrade up from ICS but don't want to lose any functions of the phone. I would love to have better battery life mainly, Is it possible to have kitkat on the phone? has anyone done this? thank you for time on reading this.
lost
Hi,
I live in China and I am looking to root my girlfriends Z3. She recently got a Sony smartwatch and needs the app to go with it, unfortunately it needs the Play store to run and that is blocked on Chinese phones.
I have found a lot of rooting guides and it looks pretty simple, the only problem is that they all state they are for versions D6xx whereas her version is L55u (which is the China Unicom version).
Is there a way round this? Will the methods for the D6xx versions work on this version?
Thanks for your time, I'm afraid I'm not a very techy person so please reply as if you are talking to an idiot

I have 2 of them, but not a developer and have no idea how to root them. Would love to see someone more skilled than me crack the code.

I have one too, bought it for the screen size but it would be nice to root it. Looks like no developers are interested in rooting it ........guess there is not enough demand for it.

I actually just bought 2 more for my kids, they're great tablets given the price point! They primarily use them for Netflix, so while I love having root access to my hardware, many apps including Netflix don't work with root anymore and I don't have time to tinker with stuff to get around the crippling these companies do to their apps. Heck, I tried to use a whole house VPN solution recently only to have the kids screaming that their Netflix wasn't working. Seems Netflix has a problem with me securing my data and privacy too
7I too have been searching all websites forums.... And used all the tools I've heard of to no avail (vroot, iroot, kingroot, kingoroot etc... You name it).
Nothing I have used has worked and I'd be very grateful if someone would be able to root this Device.
Thank you
I am in need of a new phone and I am looking for suggestions for something that should be easily rootable?
Any device that using Android 5.0 and below and you just need Kingroot to root it easily.
I am no expert on Android but considering Android 5 came out in 2014 and we are now on Android 7 is it realistic to expect to find a new phone running Android 5?
Can you think of any?
Usually cheap chinese phones that are available on the market like Lenovo, Leagoo or etc. and some retailers still selling old Android models mostly from KitKat and Lollipop ones.
So unlikely for any phone that most people would be looking for. Also Kingroot is full of spyware/adware and hardly a good route to be considering in any case.
If not preferring Kingroot, you might want to find some devices that are using Snapdragon chipset, which are pretty easy to install most of custom roms. recoveries and etc. but requires a little bit higher than average android usage skills. Any device is using Android Marshmallow and above would require to use TWRP or similar custom recoveries to root the device, that's the only way to do it.
It sounds reasonable but my current Experia Z3 rooting attempt fell at the first hurdle because the bootloader unlocking option says 'NO'!
So the detail of the process is critical and general simplified methods are often far from it. Hence being very clear on the rooting method is more important than the phone spec.
I wasnt expecting simple answers here just methods of narrowing down the choices, so all information is helpful.
But it does seem I have to start from the exact phone and try to work backwards to find out rootability as I have no experience to draw on.
Anyone rooted a phone recently?
Well rooting Samsung phones with odin(flashing twrp from odin) is the simplest way in todays date.
