I'm trying to flash a samsung epic from sprint to another carrier, I already found how to configure the phone using qpst, but I haven't found how to get the SPC.
any Idea??? please be really explicit I'm new to this android/CDMA world

Hi! Does anyone have an easy "how-to" tutorial to flash sprint samsung androids (like the samsung intercept, moment,etc) to boost mobile? I know it isn't a difficult process because I have seen it done a few times. I also believe I have all of the software on my computer....cdma,qpst,qxdm. Hello there,first of all thanks for all your hard work,you guys ROCK,i did follow the insructions on how to root the ATT samsung galaxy SGH i927,it worked fine(got superuser and busybox),but i still cant get it to work on a different network here overseas,it keeps asking me for the unlock network code,can you please help??
rooting has nothing to do with "sim unlocking" a phone so it can be used to work on another carrier....some rooting methods have a step where you can unlock the phone but it would have to depend on the phone. You can either purchase a code online from ebay, third party websites or see if there is a free method on xda.
Thanks for your reply,actually i did root the samsung galaxy captivate (i897),and it is working fine with the local carrier(here overseas),so why wouldnt the i927 work as well???do you have any links to free sim unock for the SGH i927 please??
the unlocking method for the captivate isnt the same as the glide I believe so I don;t think there is a free method to unlock it, not as of yet anyways.

I own a telus network locked optimus one p500h rooted and costom rom up. i previously owned a Samsung galaxy gi purchased locked to bell mobility canada. I know and everyone else knows that the devs on this site are ridiculously brilliant in what they do, so why hasnt anyone came up with a mod to get the unlock code for a device as popular or as supported in every other way as this? The gio isnt special minus its 800 mhz cpu and being samsung. the dev in that forum used some sort of adb shell to create a img file and opened it with a hex editor and voila extracted the unlock code. Im sure creating a custom rom is way more difficult. Please someone look into this. Thanks.

Can anyone provide me with a correct link to get the CDMA Workshop downloaded so that I can get my MSL for my unlocked HTC Evo so I can flash new PRL's for another carrier?? I've searched and searched for quite awhile now but every link I find is broken and I can't get the download. And just fyi the HTC Evo is not activated right now so I can't download the MSL reader from The Play Store.

. all i wanted to do was flash this sprint S3 to cricket. i have flashed phones before, never S3 tho...N E way... discovered that noen of the posted get MSL/SPC will work due to being on 4.12. only option is to flash down to 4.1 in order to get msl/spc and flash to cricket. this lead me to wind up here at this link abour rooting S3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426&nocache=1
for the life of me i cant find out which of the roms i need since the video uses an att model. i do not klnow how to tell if my sprint phone is

just to be clear, all i really want is to get my MSL/SPC so i can flash to cricket. i have tried terminal, get my msl, connnectbot, cdma workshop, revskills, DFS apps all to no availe. ill try anything tho.

directions to a T. flashed 4.1... phone says 4.1...everything crashes now. to the point, i have no dialer, hit the phone button and no dailpad, just crashes. crashes are android.process.acore...

all working now. had to root and downgrade to JB4.1.1 then got spc. update OTA. flash to cricket. POW. Saw a lotta views but no replies... i did receive help elsewhere in the forum from a member who was kind enough to respond hastily. lemme know if you are stuck on this issue in the future, be glad to rundown my experience with this S3. GN folks.

What did it take for you to get mms working?
I have tried everything I can find and I have gotten it to work momentarily but then it will automatically revert back to the Sprint settings.
Even Go SMS Pro will reset to Sprint settings.
