I know its only 5 bux, but still....i don't wanna have spent 5 bux for my phone to tell me it can't play a game.
you know how much taco bell i coulda bought instead?
Works for me (bought from market) but there's something wrong with it. It worked great at first (both Quick Race and Regular Race mode), but after a few days, every time I tried to get into Quick Race mode, it force closed. Regular Race mode still works fine. Though if I play for a while, my phone gets noticeably hotter.
I bought it when it was on sale for 99 cents though, so I'm not too mad. That was really the only reason I bought it. Haven't played it too much.
I fixed my issue.
game works now.
all is well, carry on.

How do they track it via Google account? or though carrier? So I was forced to execute my Inspire today. It was rooted, I've tried different roms/radios, flashed rooted stock rom/stock rom. It was never reliable: always dropping service, not receiving/making calls at random times, mms unreliable. I took it back to best buy to try to get it exchanged for a new one. Of course the phone was working flawlessly when I got to the store. The good news is that I had purchased the best buy protection plan for it at $10/month. I had enough of the phone not working reliably for its intended purpose and had to smash it in order to get a new unit. I went back to best buy and turned in the broken phone, and after more than a few suspicious looks from workers-got my phone sent in for repair. Of course it's not going to be repairable (I hit it with my baton , which crushed the screen and phone in the middle), so now I wait a few weeks for my new unit.
My question is, should I cancel my ATT contract and go with a different provider. I loved the actual phone, I just think the ATT "4G" service is horribly unreliable in my area. Or, are there any good Android 3G phones for ATT?
BTW, I am coming from an iPhone 4 before i got the HTC Inspire. iPhone worked awesome, I'm just tired of Apple products.
You can exchange/return your phone within 30 days so why the hell did you "smash" it?

I LOL'd when I read that
In my opinion, you have the best android phone AT&T has to offer...and on this thread? I think a lot of people will think the same thing. A lot of us inspire owners are previous captivate owners! That phone REQUIRED tweaking to get it to work smoothly (and for me, to get gps to work)
You could get the atrix, but there's not much tweaking/modding/flashing you can do with it due to a signed bootloader.
yeah, smashing it was a stupid thing to do.
cancelling your at&t contract will cost you a lot of money.
LOL, its crazy that someone has to go to those lenths to return a phone, but its true especially at stores like bestbuy its like ok so u want me to go in parking lot and run over it with my car a few times? then you will exchange it? and if u didnt have a problem with it why would u want a new one? Funny the smashing with baton part though.
^ he said, he was having problems.
i agree with others, you had 30 days to return it, i don't understand why you didn't just do that, and get another phone.

yea, $10 a month is nuts, i only paid $50 for the entire phone!
I don't think any of your understood, lol. Best Buy refused to take it back because it was working fine in front of them. And I did literally say to the kid working there, "So if I take it out in the parking lot and run it over with my truck, you guys will take it back?" He replied, "Do what you gotta do, if you come in tomorrow with a broken phone I'll act like I didn't see you come in today."
BTW I paid full price for the phone ($450ish).
You can return it for ANY reason within 30 days. Doesn't have to be broken.

That is so pathetic. Just another reason to hate that company.
Anyway...my friend just got an inspire and is new to android. I'm just helping with the phone (I have a verizon android phone) and realized that AT&T finds someway to screw with consumers again. So, is there a way to get around this and install non market apps?

You can use sideload wonder machine http://forum.androidcentral.com/android-sideload-wonder-machine/
Or root the phone and load a custom ROM that has non market apps enabled
the sideload wonder machine method is sipmple the only drawback is that the apps wont receive updates like they would from the market, if I'm not mistaken.
Also if I remember correctly if the app is to big for side load wonder machine, you can use adb push. There are always work arounds.

You can also consider rooting the device. I did mine with no issues at all. It's VERY easy, just time consuming. From start to finish, took me about 35 minutes. I already had EVERYTHING I needed to do this though, including the ROM I wanted.

They give away a full paid app everyday on there.

Or s-Off @ hboot?

They had a few decent music albums worth a purchase. It's a shame I can no longer use Google Music on my phone, though, since I've flashed too many ROMs without first being warned that I wouldn't be able to re-authorize my device after too many flashes. I'm going to have to put those on my phone the old fashioned way.
