I might of missed but have not seen anything on the forum yet
Thanks in advance...

I bought 2 codes on eBay for $12 each (and then 1 more for $10 from the same seller directly via PayPal), all of them worked like a charm. I sent you details via PM.

I went to a local phone repair shop and they did it for 10$

I don't know how things work in Argentina, but I know here in the states, if you've been with your carrier long enough you can request an unlock code from them at no charge.

^^ Exactly what this guy said. CONTACT EBAY RIGHT AWAY!
CALL THEM ON THE PHONE. Say, "Item not as described". Tell them you want to escalate it to a claim. They will tell you to ship the item back and give them a tracking number, also get delivery confirmation. You will get your money back as soon as eBay gets delivery confirmation from the postal service.
Experience: Returned a touch screen acer laptop with dead zone in the touch screen when it was claimed to be 100% working
AND WHEN YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK... I have 2 Motorola backflips... I bought one unlocked, used it on T-Mobile for 2 days, and then saw AT&T was offering free backflips with new service. So now I'm on AT&T with a free Backflip, but I do have an unlocked Backflip sitting here as well. I'll sell it to you for $280 + shipping, via eBay. I bought it for $290 about 3 weeks ago. You should also use "Bing Cashback" to get 8% cash back on the "Buy it Now". PM me if you're interested.
The Backflip is the hottest phone ever.. Lol. Good choice.
lol i dont know about the backflip being "the hottest phone ever" but i guess to each their own right
If you bought something on eBay but didn't receive it or you received something that's significantly not as described, PayPal Buyer Protection can help.
PayPal Buyer Protection covers eligible transactions for the full purchase price plus original shipping charges. Some purchases -- like vehicles in the Motors category, capital equipment in the Business & Industrial category, and Real Estate -- aren't eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection.
To qualify for PayPal Buyer Protection:
Use PayPal to buy an eligible item on eBay.
Pay for the item with one payment. Items purchased with multiple payments aren't eligible.
Send your payment by clicking the Pay For It button on the eBay invoice or by clicking the Pay Now button on the eBay item page.
Let the seller know there's a problem with the transaction by opening a dispute in the Resolution Center within 45 days of making your payment. Then, escalate the dispute to a claim within 20 days of the date you opened the dispute.
Keep your PayPal account in good standing.
Find out more about PayPal Buyer Protection in our PayPal User Agreement.
You can report your problem in the PayPal Resolution Center or the eBay Resolution Center. Either way, you’ll receive the same coverage.
To find out how to report a problem on eBay, go to eBay and click "Resolution Center" at the bottom of any page.
The fastest way
I am not going to add anything useful to the conversation. BUT....
While the Paypal dispute resolution center is a great thing. I think the fastest and easiest way to go about this is to get a freaking code. He has the phone there, there's no need to reship wait and buy another and so on. That is if he can get a code... That was the question.
Open a dispute, or spend $2.15, its not that expensive

All you guys fail with your comments
I say he should ask him for the $3 to get a unlock code. He will probably say yes to avoid shipping costs of sending it back and the hassle of dealing with a return.
ebay
Hi,
I bought several times in Ebay from Argentina, I opened a dispute once and got my money back, but maybe, in this case, it's better to just unlock the phone in your hands.
Anyway, I'm willing to buy a phone, mainly for internet and email while traveling in Argentina. I want to buy an AT&T blackberry or similar. I know this unlocked phones do work for sms and calling, but I don't know if they work for Email and Internet or 3G: did you unlock your phone? does it work for Internet and Email?
Thanks

Any 1 can provide LG G2X Unlock Code ?

Any 1 knows from where i can get lg g2x unlock code ? i am new here waiting for your response ....
why not call/email T-mobile?
It depends. If you bought it directly from a T-Mobile store you can call them up or email them for the unlock code. They'll ask you for a proof of purchase. If you don't have an account with T-Mobile, AND you purchase it at some other retailer they won't give you the unlock code. This happened to me. T-Mo absolutely refused to honour my purchase through amazon, add that to the fact that I don't have a number with T-Mo, they were very stubborn to not give me the code, even though I bought it for full price.
So, I went online an purchased a code from unlockthatphone.com It's like $15 added to $510 (no tax+free shipping) from Amazon I thought it was a pretty good deal too.

There are lots of 3rd party unlock sources that charge about $10 for it. If you have Tmo and your account is in good stand for 3 months then they send you the code for free.
Pm me< I can help you to get the code

Actually if you pay full price they won't even wait for three months, you'll get it immediately. My problem is that I don't have an account with T-Mo at all. I'm moving out of the US, and the O2X costs way more than the G2X.
Thanks

Call tmo for the code or spend 3 bucks for unlock code.
Sent from my Calculator with Android.
where do you buy the code? I called T-mo, and they said they would send me an email in up to 8 days. It's currently 14 days later.
--For the record, I have searched the internet, and ended up wasting over 40 bucks trying to unlock a Touch Pro, which when purchased the guy claimed it was unlocked.

Call T-Mobile again tell them your about to leave like tomorrow or in 2 days work something out with them. If not try a trusted website and read comments before going ahead and purchasing an unlock code. Just giving small tips sorry I don't know any website off the top of my head.

I purchased an unlocking service from ebay when I bought mine in May. Took less than a day for them to process the order and send me my unlock code. Worked like a charm. I paid $10 but just checked and the seller I bought from has lowered their price to like $4.
Here's a link to the one I bought:

Got mine for 3bucks few weeks back, now its 3.88. It works for me.

G2X for Cheap... Legit or Not?

Hi Guys,
I found a really cheap g2x off CL (150$). I am just afraid that this might me a stolen phone because he/she only sells the phone nothing else. I already have a DEFECTIVE G2X and planning to buy this and use it as my daily phone.
My concern will be:
Will I get in trouble if ever this is a stolen phone?
I haven't contacted the seller yet, what kind of precaution I can do to check this if it is legit?
Call TMO and ask them?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I would ask the seller for the IMEI if I were you, and I would contact T-Mobile.
Got mine for 200 cause the guy hated tmo and went to sprint.

[Q] Sprint charging me without letting me know??

Hello,
I recently upgraded my phone line on Sprint for the Sprint Galaxy S3. I had the Epic Touch 4G prior to the Galaxy S 3. My son's line had an LG Optimus S and was only $20 /month, regardless of it being a smartphone.
Anyways, I had Sprint activate my Epic Touch 4G on my son's line and now Sprint is charging me a $10 smartphone fee per month. Sprint did NOT tell me this during activation. I just noticed that my bill is $10 higher than normal. So now I talked with Sprint customer service about this and they explained it's a mandatory fee for the phone but they did not mention this fee until just now and they say they can't help me.
What can I do?
P.S. Mods, if I'm in the wrong section, please move me to another section.
Thanks,
Confused Sprint Customer
Maybe they are still charging you for the Optimus S?

The Optimus S had no $10 fee and now the line does since the Epic Touch is on it.
Most likely, it is the $10 for the WiMax service.
They've been charging that fee for well over a year now. Old news. It's clearly documented on their site and they printed a notice in our bills a couple of months before it went into effect. There is nothing you can do except downgrade to a dumbphone.
It's a $10 Premium data fee. The only thing you can do is to downgrade to a non-smartphone (unless it's been changed to a mandatory fee.)
Whenever a device is activated there's a pop-up alerting the CR that there must be a $10 add-on placed. There's no getting around it unless a discount is added. But in most cases, a rep can't discount that particular charge.
