NO 2.2 from SE
contacted the Dev, they are saying this app will not work in future as well for 2.1 because of 2.1 OS limitations..
donno in future ALL apps will be made according to 2.2 OS, no backward compatibility

maybe if you install the 2.2 Custom ROM, so app will work :O
Or maybe you can install iMediaShare which is available for all Android 1.6+ devices and enjoy personal and online multimedia
iMediaShare seems to work great for photos but I can't get it to work on a PS3 v3.55 with the native .mp4 HD video shot by the X10. It works when streaming .m4v ripped DVD's from the X10.
@ xperiax10.awesome z's 2.2 ROM olololo
i use skifta for streaming radio and its awesome.
it does seem to exit on its own and i cant get it to connect to my laptop much but i would say thats down to laptops security, no matter what i try its always showing offline.
but skifta is the only way i can stream the radio stations i like, the other radio apps out there are crap compared to this.

When I had the drois I had a subscription with an app/service called JETFLICKS. I no longer have the droid so I'm not able to STREAM the tv shows. With the droid on android I simply clicked on the link and the OS opened up the player and streamed the show!
The only way I'm able to watch the tv shows with my hd2 is like this:
1- copy and paste the url link and paste it to wm player.
2- click the link and opera lets me download the show (dont like/want that).
I'm able to go to jetflicks.mobi on my browser and login. BUT, I want to be able to click the title of the show and for my hd2 to open the player and STREAM the show. Is this to much to ask on WM??
I tried associating everything to TCPMP and no dice.
Any suggestions on how I can amke this happen? Will the paid version of coreplayer do it?

Interesting, Mine never did that. But what I really want is to just click the link and than the stream starts. Someone has to make an app for this!

Now I flashed my rom with artemis V10 but it still don't open streaming media automaticly so i gues it was a mistake of the rom?
i dont have any experience in this, maybe you can give me a way of testing this without a subcription to this site i.e. a different site and i will test it out. but on CleanEX DsE v5, there is an app with the windows media player icon, that is called "streaming media". maybe that is the answer?
Man i just saw this news http://news.softpedia.com/news/Skyfire-2-2-for-Android-Now-Available-147997.shtml

If someone would be kind enough to post the APK or a link to it as AM doesnt show it for my Mini, thanks!

Flash is ok but Dolphin is MILES away from this browser, I think Dolphin is the best browser for Android, hands down.

Alot of products has DLNA.
My Samsung tv has it. =)
check out dlna.org for more information
Installation fails because touchwiz library is missing. Either this lib must be ported also or must be removed from the app. Both are quite tricky I believe.

Thanks, I don't think my TV supports this, but my HTPC running XBMC might.
XBMC built-in UPnP-server and UPnP-client are (since the 25th of September 2007) compatible with DLNA CERTIFIED™ devices

iMediaShare is not free if you expect to see anything but a photo...
Some great thread necromancy going on here!
Regards,
Dave
well, i have a need.. dlna explained more too
@dave agreed.
well, i'm looking to start doing this since i do have a need for an app like this and few others. if you have win7 and media center, you have DLNA support on your pc.
plus, ps3 media server can be used too. anywho, DLNA is a streaming protocol that most vendors/manufacturers introduced to allow one to stream video to various type of products (tvs, boxes, pcs, handhelds, etc).
this app lets you either Receive a stream from a DLNA server or Setup your phone as a DLNA server and then watch your videos/pics on your PS3 or Home PC's media player app.
ok, explaining done, does anyone know what the first steps of removing the touchwiz library would be or where i'd start?

You are right. Hadn't noticed that.
BTW, for those discussing the other side, PS3 and others, ALL Windows 7 computers are DLNA enabled. So if you have a Win7 Media Center connected to your TV, you can hear music, see photos and videos on your TV via Allshare.
Well, I add my vote for an HTC version of this thing.
Any Sense 2.0 and above Rom already has DLNA capability.
Just hit Menu -> Select player while watching a movie/photo/whatever.

set the browser ua to desktop by typing about:useragent in the adress bar. then log into the gmail desktop site. once logged into google go to the web market at market.android.com/movies
the movies will play in the browsers video player at 480p which is the phones native res anyhow, I'm sure this is the same as google video will play it. they are hosted by youtube and I don't see the hq modes on my pc so id guess that's the quality limit.
this way it will play throuh mhl with no problems.
im rooted. the download wouldnt install from the market. it would start and then just stop for no reason. so i installed from apk. it works now, and with the market too. divx movies forward over to play in the samsung player.
Hey there Jack can you send me the apk? PM me and I'll give you my email address. muchas gracias.
thats ok. i put it in my dropbox. http://db.tt/Xya5KUS

Hey Jack thanks for the apk. It installed just fine but when I tried to play a movie I rented from the market (Wedding Crashers Unrated) I got the following error:
Playback not supported on rooted devices (Error 49)
Have you rented a flick from the market and if so were you able to watch it? I'm rooted and running Infused 153. Thanks again man.
Set the browser user agent to desktop, browse to the Android Market website, and launch the movie from there. Think that may work.
nope, i have yet to see anything i would want to rent over netflix.

ok, I'm a complete novice so can someone please tell me how to do this? I'm getting the rooted error 49 too and have no idea how to get the movie to play. I don't know how to open it in the browser either, so I am totally lost. I have a feeling I just wasted 3.99. Lol.
