This was also asked for in another thead...but didn't want to clutter that thread up and have this MOD get lost, so here you go guys....if you are looking for a clear taskbar!!!
You can just flash right over Aloysius Theme or ROM only! If you use another ROM you will have only some color menus. You need to flash the Aloysius Theme first then this MOD
IF SOMEONE CAN SEND ME A SCREENIE OF THE NEW TASKBAR....I WILL UPDATE THE PHOTO BELOW WITH IT THANKS!!!!!

The icons in the pic above, are not the icons I have in the flashable zip. This was just a screenshot from another phone...that has a clear task bar, so I could show what it "would" look like. Until of course someone sends me a screenie of how it really looks on their EVO
So this MOD actually has been done before....I believe on many different devices, including the Hero

lol...you did good, just sent from taptalk...it shrinks the image a great deal.
With the few lingering taskbar icons throughout the ROMS you might get a black squared TB Icon here and there. But if you flash my Aloysius ROM or theme for Damage Control, you'll get "almost" zero black squared taskbar icons. Unless of course you're all set with your current set up.
Being happy with what you have is what it's all about!

one more question will this change the icons also? if so can you do one with the stock icons please im trying to go for a clean look and the stock icons are perfect thank you

That my friend is going to take me a long, long time to do. I will try to get it done, but the icons I did for Aloysius...getting them all to have transparent backs and not black squares took me a few weeks (with juggling my personal life). So, I will def put it on my list of things to do....but no guarentees on when it will arrive
The small things like clear taskbar/lockscreen/rosie are easy.....40+ taskbar icons, not so much.

oh i see well maybe you can just do the major ones, the ones that are usually ALWAYS on you know like, gps,3g, 4g, location services,the battery and time...i dont really care about having all the app icons be transparent...
ok another question if i flash this will this JUST change the icons in the taskbar? or will it also change the icons everywhere else?

So here's my deal (she says with a smile) ... I installed the clear taskbar mod over Calkulin's ROM. His ROM already has the lockbar skinned clear. After installing, the lockbar was black.
I then installed your clear lockbar mod and crossed my fingers. That put the black boxes around the icons in the taskbar.
I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I am just sharing. I think your mods look great. I know how much work goes into these mods (just reading tutorials tires me out. LOL).
It was just funny to me.

I installed over fresh .3 and while the notification bar looks pretty nice, there are a few other things that are screwed up like audio manager pro widget and the power control widget. Thank God for nandroid

I think this makes it easier to see the Rosie Launcher and works good.
For now I only have the one stock green color.

this was tested to work fine on the stock 2.2 RUU.
this does NOT require a deodexed ROM.

I went and got permission from mb02 to be able to port his shaded status bar into a metamorph. I take no credit for this,, all I did was port this to be a meta morph theme and that is it. original thread
the great suggest came from Teh_Higgins to port it to use with this.
use with metamorph. may need to apply a few times. that is normal. Also check in your framework-res folder to see if you have drawable-hdpi or drawable hdpi-v4, this comes included with hdpi, but sometimes people have the -v4 and if that's so just edit the file to have the -v4.

I like the idea, but having the whole thing a solid transparent kind of feels weird when matched with the notification bar being solid. Maybe keep the default design the same, but make it transparent, so the buttons still have some darkness to them.
Also does this cause us to lose the home screen indicator?

I am unaware of the details of theming. Does this just affect the appearance of the rosie launcher, or is it a "version" of rosie (so to speak)? Reason being that i want to try out the new build of skyraider but he uses the espresso version of rosie. Any idea what result this theme would get or should i just try it out and report back?
EDIT: I like to use the round battery, would i still be able to install it over your metamorph theme or continue to use the framework.apk swap method?

This isnt a clockwork mod zip, it is meant for use inside a program from within android called "meta morph", its on the market, you will also need "busybox" installed
you should read up about this stuff till you hate it, then your ready to try to use it.

im applying the shaded status bar mod in metamorph right now and its been applying framework-res.apk for like 5 minutes and is still loading it. is that normal?

Anyway we could get the right button remapped to open the browser, this would pretty much make this perfect.

I wish my friend. I've tried, I've searched, I've seeked help from those with the know. It's alot of work and it was work I couldn't figure out. Drove me crazy for about a week, then I finally let it go lol. I wanted the stock SMS to the right button. The author or Sky Raider is working on a final release that will have these types of things I guess. From what he told me I am understanding it as it'll be for his ROM but an add on for other roms as well, so i hope, not that his ROM isn't great.

oh skyraider al ready has it working, you can download it already. i'll try it on a stovk froyo sense that is deodexed

the only way to do it is to take the rosie.apk and com.htc.resources.apk from skyraider and use it on stock deodexed. although this will give you the 5 aoo row in drawer and iltt say skyraider..

[THEME] Dark Sands Theme 12/16/10 - Update: New/Smoother Icons...Both Versions! Pics!

Here is my Dark Sands Theme that goes with the "green and black" style of Manup 456 "Clean & Dirty" theme.....and the current Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo RLS4.
I simply changed as many taskbar icons as I could, so they would be more refined and have more detail. Also, in this theme I added a dark flip clock (thank you Swede2008), a slightly altered rosie (me), and a different look to the dialer (thank you chingy51o)
I added an optional folder with the dark icons (thank you BlackUp)...and I plan on making more icons as we go along. So if anyone has an icon they would like to see added, let me know. I have the template
12-16-10 - UPDATED BOTH VERSIONS WITH CLEANER/SMOOTHER ICONS....INCLUDING THE NOTIFICATION POWER CONTROL ICONS, THE WIFI SB ICON, & THE SYNC ICON
I will also be creating a few versions of this theme (not too many), to start with......I will be making a version without a clock in the taskbar (I like mine without it).
This was made for Myn's ROM in mind....has not been tested on other ROMS, so if you would like to test it out and report back, good or bad, that would be much appreciated!

Thanks man for the kind words Yea, I knew green wouldn't be for everyone....some like blue, some like red, and some like plain ole' stock. I just went with the green, cause it's along the lines of what Myn puts out in his RLS's. I for one LOVE IT...and have not flashed any kind of theme over what he has, that is, until now

I actually never thought about it, but wouldn't be too hard seeing as how I have all the png's handy in their own little folders. Keep checking back....I'll have something for the CM crowd some point soon

I was hoping the app drawer would be transparent, but the funny thing is, when You push on it... It becomes Transparent... Do You know why it does that?

The app drawer is translucent....trasnsparent, but very dark. It's the same app drawer settings as what Myn has in his ROM. I have not done any alterations there

I am, and already have been thinking about another theme to follow this one. I agree...I don't think the next one will focus on just one color - as this one did. It will most likely be full color
This theme started off being built just for me. I really like the green and black thing going in Myn's Rom......only I wanted more sophisticated icons then the original green and black stock icons.

i agree, i like riptides theme, but theres too much blue everywhere. I like a good mix up.

I flashed this on top of Myn's rom and it looks great. I like it just the way it is...thanks so much!

[Theme] The Gingerbread Experience for Myn's Warm RLS4

Some people have seen it in Myn's thread, some haven't. This is a reskin of Sense to look like the Gingerbread Launcher. It comes in 3 parts: Gingerbread Battery, Gingerbread Launcher reskin, and Gingerbread Keyboard. I kept them separate because some people only want this or that.
The issue with using LauncherPro or ADW.Launcher is that we can't have our Sense widgets. On top of that, we lose Myn's new transitions and the transparent app drawer. This solves the issue The keyboard and Gingerbread launcher will work on ALL Sense-based ROMs. The battery mod is built on top of Myn's framework-res.apk so I doubt that'll work with other ROMs.

To activate the Gingerbread keyboard, just go to a text box and hold your finger down. Hit "Input Method" and choose "Android Keyboard". It supports
multi-touch.
If you're using a different Sense Rom and you decide to flash the Gingerbread Launcher, your phone and browser button might not work. To fix this, I've included "Rosie Settings" from Myn's ROM, which lets you assign apps to the left and right button.
The time and battery widgets do not come with this mod! You need to get them from the Market. They're called Battstat and Tajm
I'm still working on porting over some Gingerbread titlebar icons to this mod

Yup. I grabbed the whole 2.3 ROM (which btw is definitely just proof-of-concept and not for everyday use), so I have access to all the images. This is just a little preview of what's to come

Dumb Question - So I have a stock Warm RLS4, if i flash the launcher zip it will replace the default warm rls 4 launcher skin?

If you just want the launcher, only flash the launcher. It won't touch anything else.

is there a way u can work around doing this wit the 4X5 Layout mod framework for the rosie, thats the only thing im kind of missing.

Can the launcher be modified so that the icons that are there are not just the phone and internet icons? Personally, I prefer having the text message as the right icon of the launcher and I usually leave the left icon as the phone/dialer. If this could be implemented, it would be greatly appreciated. BTW, great work on this theme.................

Yup. The purpose is to make it look more and more like Gingerbread, so I'll be porting over more stuff from the 2.3 SDK. The good news about these mods is that they'll continue to work in future Warm releases as well and they also work with any Sense-based ROM (aside from the titlebar mod).

Awesome! Thanks a lot, wish I could do stuff like this to help out, I'm currently trying to make the gingerbread theme work with sense, but I don't know much. I'll just flash these for now, while I work on my project that really isn't going anywhere so far. I'll be flashing these mods ASAP though!

Known Issues:
-Notification Items text is white. Yay. However, when it is a persistent item, say USB plugged in, it will revert to black when pressed. It will stay that way until it is cleared and the new notification will be white again. Also, time is black.
-White line around 3/4 of contact picture of lock screen incoming call.
Major:It has been known that sometimes you can loose contact pictures in MMS. Follow these steps to solve it.
Steps to install:
Flash theme.
Fix UIDs.
Reboot.

Its actually a 3d flip clock from sense 3.0 so i don't think it will work on all gingerbread roms.

Can you port some part of this rom like transparent pulldown, rosie, etc to sense 2.1 rom? It would be awesome bcz for now alot of people still use 2.1. I love your theme. But i cant find stable rom to use this theme yet. Wondering it would be on my phone! Keeo your creativity boss..
