[Q] Wow am I struggling with X10 custom rom - General Questions and Answers

Can someone please assist me?
Phone model X10a
Firmware version 2.1.1
baseband 2.0.46
Kernel 2.6.29
build 2.0.A.0.504
Okay so I have tried to download the custom rom Eminence 2.1, and I have followed everystep that they have, now I keep running into a problem when I restore my phone from the xrecovery mismatch. There was a post telling me what someone did to fix that, and I have followed those methods with no success. Am I missing something, is there anyone who can help me?

you can search this forum for roms made for your phone.To install em just boot into recovery and flash the .zip file (always make a backup)

and where do i search and under wat? like what do i write in order to get to the instructions on how yo update my kind of rom?

Hi! i'm trying to use the 2.6 kernel of my device on a 4.1.2 rom (cm10), but stuck in bootanimation. I think needs to edit the kernel, but i don't have idea about the files i need to edit, please help me. Thanks .

Cant root Gt-S6800

Hi , I have created a post for this specific phone in the past and still no luck getting it rooted.
Phone Specs:
Samsung Galaxy Ace Advance GT-S6800
Gingerbread.XXLH1 2.3.6
Base Version : S6800XXLG3
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #1
I have tried everything such as SRS root , Zroot, oneclickroot and basically any other method i could find but no success.
Please can anyone shed some light.. Plz .. I realise this isnt the most popular phone on the market but i would love some help.
This has been a nightmare

find your device's thread and find if anyone got rooted or not...
try to flash recovery.img with spft...u got cwm/twrp and after that install superuser...

The point is that i cant root my phone , hence not being able to get superuser function.. If anyone on here can guide me with a successful root I would be ever so gratefull,

hi, im new here, could someone help me with my XPERIA V Lt25i, im experiencing bootloop after flashing a new kernel, what should i do, i think i flashed a wrong kernel for my device, is there a way to brought it back to stock? by the way my firmware was (4.3) 9.2.A.2.5 before flashing a wrong kernel, i think i flashed a kernel for .295, thanks hopefully someone could help

You're best bet is to flash back the correct kernel or completely reflash the firmware, I'd suggest asking about how to do that here:
