Hello Peeps,
This maybe a simple question but how do you sync the photos from Facebook to my Nexus S the simple way?
I tried searching but some ways didn't work but other just seemed too complicated. Also didn't want to get another app as would expect the phone to do it without having to go that far. Also would want it to automatically change the picture if my friend changed their profile picture.
Thanks
Just sign in in the official Facebook for android and there'll be a setting to sync all

Ok guys and girls I need the best way to sync FB photos to my contacts. Through the FB app it doesn't show the photo when you call but it shows it under contacts. I want to actually replace the image and sync it with google. I've used SyncMyPix but the quality sucks. I bought Full Screen Caller ID but need to get my money back due to no response back from the dev. It shows a nice image when calling but nothing during text or anything so kind of annoying. I want something that will sync as flawlessly as possible thanks!
Umm mine works fine with the FB app. Try changing the setting in the app to sync all see I'd that works. I noticed it worked like that on mine.

I've got a strange problem on my Viper 2.2.0. I know that the pixeled profile picture issue is known and I found a lot about this but many users say that this is fixed by Google and if you have problems anyway you can try tools like Hax Sync or Sync me e.g. None of this tools have any effect to the quality of the images. I've also tried turning Google contact sync off and than change a profile pic but this doesn't work either. Also if I choose a picture from my own (!!!) gallery or take a snapshot the quality is instantly crap. Without any sync. So it must be a issue with my handset!?
Does anybody know a working fix? Likely one to use profile pictures from Facebook (like hax sync should do)!

Clear Data for Apps "Contact Storage" and "People" did the trick for me. But be careful you have a backup or a up to date sync with Google because all your contacts are going to be deleted!!

Coming from a HTC One X+ with Sense 5, contacts are linked to Facebook/Twitter etc which is really useful and a feature I really miss with pure Android.
So, in light of this I have two questions:
Can it be done with stock Android without a 3rd party app?
If not, is there a better solution than Contacts+? Whilst this app is ok, it's not as refined as I'd like.
Still love the phone though, by far the best I've had! If I can solve this contact linking issue then I'll be happy as Larry!
I use HaxSync for syncing Facebook contacts
For Facebook, I use the sync contacts option from Friendcaster. I don't actually use the app otherwise.
Thanks guys, do either of these apps change anything in the contacts? I.e. Can you see Facebook statuses and things when you go into a contact or does it just keep the profile photo synced?

Try the below app, its in play store!! It stores all from Facebook to gallery!
<<Download photos from Facebook>>
well thats to download one photo at a time and not put em into the correct folders, i'd like to have the sync option =P
You can use Ubersync for Facebook to get your contacts synced.
well i more-less need the images, not the contact pictures =P haxsync does that
Hi guys,
What is the best way to set HD photos for contacts?
Contacts are stored on my gmail account, I have not sync them with facebook or any other service and I am not planning to do it.
Every time after flashing the rom pictures are blurry. I believe Google saves them in lower resolution.
Is there any trick to have them always in HD?

I would like to know this too. I am a Google apps user and the contacts images once synced to Google go blurry.
This died not happen with regular Google account only Google apps for domains.
Any suggestions?
This has bugged me for a while but I realized they are actually HD.
What I do is open the people app and click the pic, after a few seconds it'll change to higher resolution and stay that way until you flash a new rom

Nope, nothing changes here. They are still blurry.
But, thank you.

I know you said you didn't want to sync with Facebook but the most foolproof way is to use Haxsync. You can then go into the Haxsync settings and set it to sync with your Google account. They all show up in full resolution afterwards...
