Hi.
I got my hands on the HTC Touch Diamond, recently. I love the phone, but i HATE the really worthless sound i get from the audioplayer from HTC, WMP and Pocketmusic.
Im using a stereoadapter that i got from a Swedish retailer and high-end earphones from Creative.
Im a total newbie at WM plz help me!
Try to launch audiobooster then disable then unplug adapter then plug then activate audiobooster. There is a bug that prevent it from lauching it properly

Can you make it a litte bit more clear for me..? Im a total newbie..
Sorry my english isn't very good.
First you have to know that there is a little bug with audiobooster on htc diamond. In fact, to prevent your phone speaker to be damaged the phone turns off the bass when there is no headphone plug. The problem is that sometime when you plug your headphone the bass doesn't comeback. To make it come back:
-While your headphone are plugged via the usb-jack adpater, launch audiobooster and uncheck the box to disable it
-Unplug your headphone (unplug the usb-jack adapter from the phone)
-You will have an error message because audiobooster can be loaded while there is no headphone plugged in
-Connect your headphone to the phone (through the usb-jack adapter)
-Click on "retry" in the message error box
-Check the box to activate equalizer
Try to use GSPlayer, it has a nice feature, Bass Boost, I used to use it on my prophet and it was much better than windows media player.

get yourself a set of really nice bluetooth headphones, then set bluetooth streaming to 328kbs (via registry). bluetooth headphones have their own d/a converters, which sound really great if you buy a hi end set. that way you don't need to worry wether your player has crappy sound output like ipod or wm device. They all sound the same because your headphones are creating the music and not the device with its cheap ass d/a converters.
bluetooth 328kbs btw is not distiguishable by human ears from original music and will sound like mp3 with 240kbs.
Just install CorePlayer, problem solved.
Fully functioing pre-amp and equalizer turns your diamond into a more than worthy music playing device. Trust me!
try to use wow 3d sound and bass enhancer 1.21 + control panel.
this works very well und it clear up the sound. like creative x-fi`s chrystalizer.
install the 1.21 driver. (search forum)(this i allready testet. the 1.28... i dont know)
copy the cpl file to
windows/startmenü/einstellungen, (english devices windows/startmenu/settings)
use core player
set wow hd 3d to:
srs3d effect 50%
srs center effect, 80 %
srs focus 80%
srs definition 20%. (more will more chrystalize the sound, but too much is to strange)
trubass level 80% and
trubass speaker size 60 hz. ( up to 100hz will increase the feelen bass, but its kick bass only, the low deep base will be decreased.)
now you start core player and play your mp3.
is the sound not enough for you, go tho coreplayers equalizer.
dont increase any parameter more than 12 db.
this will have very unnatural accustical sideeffects.
don`t increase the lowest frequency slider too much! there is not enough powerout potential!
for me, the settings working very well.
Do NOT use the original HTC headset! this high quallity typ of **** headset! its an open system. miniaturisized open system headsets hasn`t got a good base.
(i use: Ultimate Ears super.fi 10 PRO Metallic Blue- they really rocks da houze. but the outputpower of the diamond is okay, but not really enough, to play at high volume levels, with full base.
a creative x-fi soundcard with the headset connected to, will present the full potential of the Ultimate Ears super.fi 10 PRO. i can`t belive whats going on, in your ears )
the same old output problem.. it can all go away thanks to bluetooth. my sony dr bt-50 has more than enough reserves for all the bass. you can even use srs to push the bass lower, making it sound even more dynamic. it's great. too bad they have to build those cheap d/a converters into everything. but hey, if an ipod can sell, why would htc need anything better?
so if you think the sound sucks, use srs wow hd (evens out the crappiness of your sound output in combination with your headphones ) with really great headphones, like dom posted before or get get a pair of great bluetooth headphones, where the output is already optimized for the speakers.

what is the registry key to adjust the bluetooth streaming rate to 328?
Yes. I've used the search but I couldn't find any util.
What I want is a program/util/hack that change soundprofile in WM6.1 (Xperia).
When I plug in my wired headset, I want NO sound at all on the phone. Everything should go trough my headset at my specified volume.
Then when I unplug my headset, everything goes back to the phone at loud volume.
And yes... automatically...
CAN SOMEONE please help me, beloved XDA-Developer....
setting a specified volume profile is something i'm not familiar with
but if you want to direct all sounds to your headset you can use
btmusic.
you can search google for upcoming beta/final releases

PhoneAlarm will do that very nicely for you. It provides lots of options for profile switching, one being a headphones being plugged in...

Hey Guys,
what I am planing to do is to use my Topaz for navigation on my bike.
Generally it works as I want it to work but I have one problem left. The sound is not as loud as it should be.
What I did so far:
- Install TomTom 7 on my Topaz
- Install a bluetooth headset in my helmet
- Redirect system sound to BT headset via BTA
- Set system volume to max as well as TomTom volume
So far everthing works great but when I am riding my bike its pretty hard to understand anything. So I have to get the sound louder somehow.
The Tool AudioBooster just says "No Headset Connected" when I am trying to start it.
Any idea how I could boost the sound output via BT?
Greetz Topaza
Unzip attachment and copy to your Windows folder overwriting original and your max volume level will be increased.
BTW, this is a common question and solution is readily available with a simple google search. No need to open a new thread for this.
thanks for your reply. The file you provided increases the volume via. the Topaz speaker and via. (cable) headset a lot.
Unfortunately the sound via bluetooth stays the same or is increased a little but i cant recognice a difference...
any other ways?

I don't use BT so I cannot confirm if it increases with this file but opening the .cvs show settings for BT, so I would assume it should increase BT as well.
I have an Extra loud one if you want to try it, however you will need to adjust your speakers to a lower level to avoid distortion.
Please let me know if you notice an increase in BT vol.
still cannot recognize any signifficant change in volume via BT
Thanks for the confirmation.
Personally I think BT allows for too much background noise and your best option would be earbuds to cancel excess noise...
Unless you're on a Harley, then there's no way to hear anything but your motor...
Sorry man...
damn, the idea was so great and everything works perfect except this ****ing BT headset - whose integration into the helmet was hard work btw...
There HAS to be a solution. Still don´t know how but i will get this thing working somehow...
Maybe I have to tune the hardware... a better speaker, a small amp or somewhat ^^
Anyway, if someone has an idea how to boost the sound, please let me know!
I recently bought Sony Ericsson MW600 BT headset and I've been using it for about a day. I can tell you that the sound quality quite good (using my Sennheiser earphones) for a stereo BT headset although audiophiles may disagree
Pairing was child's play.
The good thing about this BT set is that it has a cool OLED screen which displays the song title and also the incoming caller name.
I did not expect it to show caller names though. Thought it was compatible only with Ericsson phones
In all, this BT headset does its job well for my daily commute to office (40 KMS each day)
I will update the battery life of this headset after i use it for a week
Just my thoughts.
Nice found it here for around 45 euros.
Hi
How does it works with playing music does the play/pause controls works as it should?
I have had problems with other bt headsets and player controls.
It works very well with the default Sense player and works with Core Player and S2P too. But when you use Core player or S2P it does not scroll the song title on the OLED screen.
I did not try with other players though. Hope this helps
Lemme know if you need more info here.
Thank you.. I am using Core player so it sounds good. I will probably order one this week.
whenever i pick call using bluetooth , it doesnt work.. the sound comes to nil , and then i have to set it back , i use custom rom cooked room from here only

I can only confirm that this is a really good investment! So easy too use, excellent battery performance and it includes a radio-receiver!
4,5 of 5 stars!
PS: Only thing thats annoying me is the lack of keylock. Because it´s hard to move it when using the "snap-holder", without pushing any button. There are buttons on all sides except the back...
Probably to late...

I little bit late, but... Do a reset of your headset and re-sync it with your phone.
To reset the headset:
1 Make sure the headset is turned off.
2 Press and hold down the power key until the pairing indication appears.
3 Simultaneously press and hold down the power key and the call key until the headset turns off.
Hope it helps!
Hi!
1º Sorry my English. I try to explain but maybe i don't use the best words.
I don't know if is only my phone or not.
The volume on headphones is too low, I try with originals and others headphones (apple, beats, sony...) via bluetooth , USBC, USBC-Converter... and is horrible
I don't want to have a disco on my heads, :silly: but yes, I want to listen my music a few strong as a others phones.
Maybe is a limitation on Europe, because the quality of sound is so good, but the volumen... Meh
Thanks!!!
I read on theverge and mashable that there is suppose to be a DAC/AMP coming as an accesory. But so far I have only seen the freebuds.... My Galaxy S8 is certainly louder than P20....The Quality itself seems good though.
The only trick I know is too enable Dolby Atmos, then go to Music profile, and then "off" then you get a little more loudness and a graphical EQ that is flat. I think that should be a profile without DSP stuff going on. But most natural to me sounds with Dolby atmos disabled. But then it really struggles with volume.
Spotify has this option for example so you can set it up I think. Personally I dont need more volume. Usually using a bit more than the half of the bar.
It is a bit quieter than other phones I used but definitely not too quiet. Maybe you should go check your hearing ?
In ear headphones can be really damaging to hearing when listening on louder volumes.

Your concern is right, vol are very low even with 3rd party headphones , average volume I have to set is around 60-70% always
volume is low when there are too much noise in the background. maybe bcoz of the noise cancellation (or maybe you have ear problem). im using both apple earbuds and the huawei earphones, Pulsar+ player with in-app EQ manually adjusted + Dolby Atmos EQ adjusted to music. volume is too loud for me at 60%, my base %%% for me even in my ASUS Zenfone 5

I noticed this problem too with the original earphones and my Honor monster earphones connected with the headphone adapter. But, weirdly, the sound from my Huawei bluetooth earphones is louder!
low volume on P20 pro bluetooth
I had the same problem. I found the app Volume booster GOODEV. With that app, you will be able to boost the sound much.
Had the same issue! Realized its the cheap connector included swapped for this:
Belkertech Nylon Braided Type C to 3.5mm Audio Microphone Female
Good increase in volume. Hope that helps someone.
For Spotify what can help is to uncheck te option for same volume for all songs
fixed
My wife's mate 20 pro have similar low volume issue with her bluetooth headset and I did this to resolve the issue.
You are going to need to change the Bluethooth audio codec in the "developer options"
You'll need to search for how to get into the developer options on the internet because I can't link as a new user.
I believe you'll need your bluetooth headset connected before you can make any changes otherwise the option to change will be greyed out.
Basically I changed the Bluetooth Audio codec from ACC (which seems to be the default) to SBC. After this, the max volume dramatically improved.
For some reason, options like
Bluetooth Audio Sample Range, Bluetooth Audio Bits Per sample, Bluetooth Audio Channel Mode, Bluetooth Audio LDAC Codec are greyed out even when the bluetooth headset is connected while I checked on another android phone that these are options you can actually play with.
I wanted to change these to see if it'll actually improve bluetooth audio. Either way, I'm happy that changing this works. Let me know if it help for you guys as well?
Settings -> Sounds -> Dolby atmos -> pick "music" -> adjust all levers in the equaliser at the bottom of the screen to +x dB. I maxed out all levers to +12 dB. And voila you've got more volume without changing any relation between different frequencies.

Thanks a million m8! Works for me. Now I can't have volume much above 60% without being uncomfortably loud.
P.S. had to reboot my P30 Pro after changing the codec setting to SBC before the new setting was activated.
Most things depend on what headphones you are using the stock Huawei headphones are so-so... not really worth it either Apple.. When I plugged in my Sennheiser the sound was x2 louder, after that I also got Huawei AM61 sports bluetooth headphones which are great as well. Pay attention to OM as well it is not recommended to use more than 32 OM on a phone without an amplifier.

Hi bro! Does it also work with wired headphones? At first glance I don't think so. Is there no solution for those who use wired headphones?

I don't think so, no. My friend said he did something similar with the USB-C wired connection, I'll ask him tomorrow.
