GPS - My GPS NEVER locks. I've tried various GPS "fixes" but nothing works. I left the phone sit for 45 minutes outside on my patio and NEVER got locks.
Any ideas ?

That I haven't tried. I'm using UCKK4 right now I'll jump backwards till one works I guess

You can also try making a new APN . In the field APN type "phone" . In the one Apn Fix APN it is normally wap.cingular so just change it to phone instead.

jetpack v7
i have recently downloaded v7 and i have to say that it is the best rom so far that i have flashed. battery no random reboots every thing works flawlessly. i tried to post on the dev post but apparently cannot. i have found out that bluetooth printing is not working i have done this several times with other roms and had no problems and i am very frustrated because i really love this rom and trust me i have tried them all from caty, to fusion x, bionox. i am very good with flashing and installing roms i have flashed over 50 times between Galaxy s att to my new infused. any ideas?? on what could be the problem.

I will look into it buddy. I didnt test the bluetooth on Jetpack v7, sorry. I didnt test because he is coming out with another update, so I didnt bother testing anything except basic stuff(call,text,internet,etc)

Actually believe bigfau update to v8 back i January but here you go all the ver plus the ICS...I ran this for awhile with the ICS I liked it, don't forget to thank bigfau for the port...

Is there a way to fix GPS lock on Jelly Bean ?

Hi,
My GPS used to be locked within a second on stock ICS.
Now, I'm on Sky Jelly Bean, and I notice that it takes a long time to have GPS locked, and its accuracy is far from what we consider 'accurate'.
So is there a way to fix these GPS issues on Jelly Bean?

Install the AGPS patch in the dev section. It's never failed for me on any ROM I've used it on.

I just installed [Rom]Sky-JellyBean-4.1.2) Update 10.3 ((Base T10-(10/26/12)) GS3-Touchwiz--Vs--CM 10, and GPS wasnt locking either.

I downloaded the Google Specific 3.1 below, and GPS immediately locked:

Actually, I spoke too soon. It looks like the patch was working since it immediately locked on. I went out for a drive and used the NAV, and initially it was working, but after a few minutes it began to drop out and report "GPS Signal Lost"...
From your screenshot, it looks like you can see at least 12 satellites with fairly decent signal.
I am using a different app, and mine seem to vary between 0, 2, 5, and 7... Constantly changing. Wish mine looked like yours.
I've already wiped everything, and going back to stock using both Kies and Odin methods, but still have the same issue.
Read somewhere to wipe the external SD and eemc, so going to try that now.
Hopefully its not the phone.
What app is that screenshot from? Want to try it.

[Q] My Wifi Speeds Are Atrocious! Soultions?

Running on Cyanogenmod 10 12/3 Nightly.
Ok here's my conundrum. My router has up to a 300mb/s burst & my speeds haven't suffered on any other device except my phone. The odd thing is the fact that my wifi is listed as having 72mb/s speed. See screenshot below...

Here's the kicker: A speed test on my laptop is just fine. See screenshot below...
BUT a speed test on my phone? Trash...
It also turns off during sleep despite having the "always on" option checked.
What do I do?

first of all 74Mbps is insanely fast, but I bet your internet provider is not even close to match that speed. What's your actual internet speed? I guess its 20Mbps from your laptop speed test. Now why you got such a low download speed on the phone is probably because someone was downloading something on different machine which took all the bandwidth or because you are on a nightly ROM lol.
I just made a test on my HOX and I got 9.607Mbps down and 3.892Mbps up. My laptop got 9.77Mbps down and 2.86Mbps up.

Have you had this issue before or are you just starting with CM10? Long story short, I've had the same issues with CM10. At times, WiFI speeds are normal and everything works great, then all of the sudden it drops and becomes unusable. Sense-based ROMs work fine for me.

My internet speed is at 25mb/s cable. To the highlighted I'm the only one using the wifi, that's impossible.

Yeah it's only been since I flashed CM10. This issue hasn't been recognized yet or something? Because from my searches it seems as though I'm in the minority & may just be SOL. I hope that isn't the case...

Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1989203&page=6&highlight=wifi. A few of us reported having different issues with WiFi in CM10, my last post says that it was fixed with one of the recent nightlies but I spoke too soon, a day after using it the problem came back.
There's also this issue report http://code.google.com/p/cm9-msm8960/issues/detail?id=134 but I don't see a final solution yet.

GPS losing signal

Hi all
I am running mahdi 0823 all else stock
Seem to be having issues with Google maps. Sometimes it locks on, but then loses GPS signal very often. Or it won't lock on at all.
I have tried other modems but it doesn't seem to help much.
Does anyone else have GPS related issues ?
And is there any known fix for it ?

I was having GPS signal issues with the stock CM11s and Franco kernal. I switched to PA with Franco Kernal and now get good locks. Maybe it is a rom issue?

I am on cm11s rooted and GPS is fine here!

same issue with gps! using franco and ak and mahdi rom.
maybe it is a mahdi rom issue???

I am having a GPS issue with stock CM11 44s. It works after a restart, but will stop working after a day. If I use a GPS status app, I see that it doesn't see any satellites in view at all. It's like the radio is completely dead, but then after a restart, everything is fine.

Same thing happening here. Losses satellite connection after a while. If I restart my phone it works fine.

Anyone found a fix yet? Mine also losses GPS fix after a while which is unfortunate because I use it as a sports tracker and it's useless if it doesn't work like it should.
I've tried CM11, CM11S, CM12, CM12.1, oxygen OS, some other ROMs any many custom kernels without any result.
It sees satellites, it connects, but can't get fix somehow.

'N' icon in status bar

I have disabled NFC and all Android Pay/Samsung Pay apps, and still the 'N' icon still appears every now and then, and it will only go away if I restart the phone.
I notice that after a night of charging that most times I wake up and see the icon. I can't remember another situation when it happens, but I'm not using wireless charging so it's not being used. Does anyone know why this icon appears after disabling NFC, and how I could prevent it from doing so?

No, it's stock M. It's the AT&T variant G930A, which does not support root yet.. I'm wondering if there is any other app or something I could be doing that's dependent on NFC, but like I said I can't even turn on NFC if I wanted to, everything's been disabled which a package disabler.

In all seriousness, backup and try a full reset after you go through all Settings options fully; try restarting it as well before factory reset. Shouldnt be doing that. I have an S7 Active never had that issue but it would drive me nuts.

Since this reply found out the G930A is rooted now! I don't know where I've been the past week. Anyway, thank you for your help, I'm gonna do a backup and root and freeze the apps. See if that helps.
