change handcent widget

i may have ocd, but i would really like to change the handcent widget to look like a regular messaging app icon and the name to just say messages instead of handcent sms? is it possible for this to be done?

possible to theme gtalk apk?

is it possible to theme the gtalk apk? i would love to have the app in a dark/black theme. just something simple like black background and white text.

Im not sure that you can theme the gtalk app, but you may want to take a look at the public beta for trillian, it has a nice simple black theme and connects to gtalk and much more.

yeah i've used trillian and a bunch of other im apps.nothing seems to work as well as the native gtalk app....it's just fugly. trillian does look promising though.

I've tried a few, been using trillian a bit cause the native gtalk hasn't been showing the status of anyone on my contact list correctly. at least with trillian i get to see whos is online and who is away

Unread/count widget

Hi all,
I hope you can help.
I'm looking for a widget that can display the number of calls, texts and emails (using k9, not gmail).
I want to add it to widgetlocker.
Does any one have any recommendations please?

[Q] In Dock Notification for K-9, SMS, GV...?

I am looking for a way to have notifications appearing on the dock icons for K-9 (email), SMS (I use GoSMS) and Google Voice Voicemail.
I can't grow fond of the notification bar -- it gets too busy, messy looking for me. So I generally hide it.
But I still want to see message and voice mail counters on my dock icons.
It seems that the stock apps can do it, but I like a unified email app, and use Google Voice for my voicemail. Plus, I like my own icons....
Anyway this can be done (and what is the reason that this feature is not not built into any of these 3rd party apps)?

This works just fine with ADW notifier. Not sure if you need ADW Launcher EX or if the free one will work.

Thanks! This is a good reason to switch to ADW Launcher (even though I was happy with Go Launcher).
ADW Notifier is absolutely great for everything else, but it does not notify of Google Voice messages
Anyone with a solution to GV notifications?
