Anyone else experiencing this? I'm using the 1x4 weather only widget.
Yes, same here mate. Also asks to download the animation add on, even though it's already installed. Seems to sort itself out after a couple of minutes though.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Nexus S has issues with stuff stored on the "internal sd" after a boot up.
This is the same issue with ringtones/notifications that are stored on the "internal sd" and after a reboot, they're deselected.
Same goes with beautiful Widgets, as the phone is booting up, you will see it's "reading" the internal storage and while it's doing that, beautiful widgets is fully loaded, but since it's not finished reading the internal storage, beautiful widgets doesn't see the skins at are on the "internal sd" so it loads the default built in skin.
It's an issue with the Nexus S itself.

I had installed a cool weather/clock widget the other day, and it was working perfectly. All of a sudden, I have this message on my home screen:
"Problem loading widget". I can't find any way to remove this message.
The widget is no longer on the list of my loaded programs or widgets, and strangely I cannot seem to find it on the market. It's as though some update decide to remove it, but the bootup loader is still looking for it.
Ideas?
HD2 running 2.2.1 CleanDroidv1.11, Kernel 2.6.32.15
Baseband 15.42.50.11H_2.15.50.14
Thanks for any assistance.

Here's a screenshot of my problem, taken with "shootme", an outstanding and simple-to-use screen capture app for Android.
uninstall and installl this app
I would if I could. When this first happened, I tried what you said, but the app had seemed to disappear into thin air -- off my HD2 AND off the Android Market. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate your reply.
This happens to me too when i move widgets or home items to the sdcard.
The sdcard ins't mounted quickly so it fails to load the home app.
Try moving it to phone storage.
Has anyone else run into issues with Springpad on their Infuse? I cannot get my notes to go to my homescreen and the widgets wont show up in the widget menu. I reinstalled it yesterday and got the widgets to reappear in the widget menu, but when I shut my phone off last night and turned it back on this morning, the widget transformed into a problem, and the Springpad widgets no longer show up in the widget menu. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? Or just have a better replacement?
I use Springpad but do not use the widgets. So I tested it by adding the list view widget and the small one, rebooted and the widgets remain. I am using a custom ROM (Infused) so not sure if that has anything to do with it. If you are looking for a replacement, try Evernote.
There is an easy fix for that. I had the same problem with pandora widget, it would always disapper from widget list after the reboot. Go into settings, applications, manage applications then move the app to phone and reboot. It will never disappear after that.

I am using a custom ROM as well (Refuse 1.6). It could be something with that ROM I suppose; I haven't tried any others for long enough to get to using Springpad.

Yep, that'll do. I had not even thought they were being automatically placed there; don't remember ever setting this. Just noticed that all of my apps are being installed to sd card. I'll check around for how to change it. Thanks!
Edit: Springpad was not among those stored on the SD card, turns out. Widget is working again though. It must have been something else.
Hi, I believe i found a cause of the horizontal artifacts on the widgets. I first noticed that they appeared after app2sding most of the apps. After a restart, the apps that were sent to the SD card all had the generic Android icon, and the artifacts appeared. If i apply a Sense skin, they go away and the icons return to normal. I moved all of my apps back to the phone memory and the artifacts have not happened.
Can anyone else confirm that this is true?

The exact same thing, in the exact same order, happened to me. So not sure about causation, but there is certainly correlation.
I am not moving apps to the SD card anymore, but occasionally some shortcuts become generic android icons (apps are still there and working). Re-creating a shortcut resolves the problem.
When I use the official Facebook widget I get horizontal lines annd with the offical Twitter widget. That's only when flipping through the screens.

I have the same problem as well....But it only happens when I am flipping through my home screens.
Good observation, I used to have those lines. And they haven't been appearing in a while, about the same time i moved all my apps to the PHONE memory (i used to have lines when opening folders.)
I think you found a solution.
I've got the exact same problem with my widgets and folders. Any solution ?
I downloaded the living social app from the android app store. At first there was a widget that showed up in the widget selector. However once I rebooted my phone the widget disappear. Is anyone else getting this? Or is this just my phone?

Settings->Applications-Manage Applications
Move it from the SD card to internal phone storage. Our phone seems to like putting stuff on the SD by default, but widgets break when on the SD.

Ah...so its that problem also. What about the feedly widget crashing every time I try to set it? I've tried to move that to my phone but it still crashes on me.
I have the stock HTC ICS ROM on the Desire S. I was trying to free up some space from the SD card, and deleted the "Temporary files from HTC apps", which was amounting to more than 2 GB. After that the widgets are no more there in the Personalization menu, neither are app shortcuts. The widgets that are already added to some screens are still working, so I suppose they aren't actually deleted, but if I remove a widget I can't get it back.
There is also a horrible lag to display the home screen when exiting from an app, or even pressing the home button.
What could be the problem?

Firstly, the Stock ICS ROM is awful - it was released more for developers than for daily use.
Secondly, if you insist on using it, then reflash and don't delete files unless you understand what you are deleting and what the damage could be.
