Photo browsing app?? - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

My hubby rooted my phone a couple months ago.
I actually liked the sense photo gallery.
The stock android gallery is not working well for me... And JustPictures crashes everyone I try to view my pictures.
And viewing pics on my phone is important since I am a photographer...
Does anyone have a stable photo browsing app?

I'd say just install a Sense-based ROM. I recommend Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo for Incredible.
Use Titanium Backup free and Mybackup root to back up your contacts/apps, then flash it/have your husband flash it.

i found a good .apk, but do not remember were i found it. i will post it as soon as i can

just install as any other apk
and old apk can be frozen using titanium backup, or just completely uninstalled

or you can use QuickPic, it's in the market.
someone pointed it out in a Rom thread and it's very simple and VERY fast.

Galleries are not created equally.

On my eris I replaced the gallery with the one that google put out. It taxed the processor but I still it better. The best thing I liked is that out would pull in my picasa albums.
I installed the same apk I used to install gallery on the eris and no picasa link. What made me think about it was an article about the 3d gallery and had a link. I figured the new link might be more up to date than the one I was running. Looks the same and still no picasa albums.i have the picasa account set up.
Anyone else dealing with this?

Yea the stock gallery and 3d gallery in the market do not connect to picasaweb albums on the droid x. Try the APK that is attached to this post.
Lemme know if this works.

I used the apk that was still on my sd card, no luck. But what are they expecting you to use to see the albums that you are syncing?

so what is the best gallery overall, cause the one on X is mad slow
The one I posted is my favorite. Its the cool 3d gallery that shows your picasa albums.

Android Gallery Problem

I took a picture a few days ago and don't need it anymore. I fire up the gallery on my Nexus, hold on the pic and delete. Done deal. Except I wait a few minutes, open the gallery and there is the same picture I just deleted. My Nexus is stock.
Suggestions?

That's weird that it's doing that. You could always go into the folder on your SD card and delete it that way (should be under DCIM, you could use a file explorer like Astro or just mount your SD card). But that could become annoying for all pictures you need to delete.
Quote using the stock gallery and install quickpic. Best move I ever made for photos.

Playing with quickpic now. Thanks.
Still, not to be an ornery cuss? I really shouldn't have a problem like this. Clean it up Google. A minor annoyance, at best, but its the small stuff that makes people fall in love with your platform.
Maybe this special luck picture
just go to settings, application, manage application, find there gallery, clean data...
Quickpic is the best viewer in android fast and stable !
Sent from my Nexus S
Think the first problem is you've not rooted, second would be stock gallery. Like everyone else has mentioned Quikpix is miles better at actually functioning as a viewer.
The stock ROM is functional the CM7 ROM is much better even though it's only in Release Candidate at the moment. Once the full version is released they should add extra features like CM6 on my old Desire. (tip: I've learnt from reading these forums on a daily basis that its not a good idea to ask when it will be fully released which is fair enough as they do it all pro bono)
Note if you do flash a ROM
Can be quite tricky unlocking bootloader as you have to make changes to you Windows or which ever OS you run on your comp. Well worth it though and my phone works a hell of a lot better now.

Gallary freezing causing reboot

Anyone have the problem of when you try to load up the Gallery app it freezes? It will just sit there trying to load the images and then after a little while it will reboot itself. Im rooted and using the infused rom. Just curious if anyone else has this issues. Its a pita as it seems to do it quite regularly for me.
Thanks
Take off Gallery, and installed QuickPik app from market. Its snappy and neat, and has replaced gallery app on my phone.

Gallery Issue

I was curious if anyone else is having issues with the CM9 RC2 build as far as their gallery goes?
I am running the RC2 on my Galaxy S2 Skyrocket with CWM 5.8.4.3 running (non-touch).
This is the only real issue I have had since moving to the nightly builds, so here goes...
When I take a picture, I have my Google+ Instant Upload turned on. The picture gets uploaded. No problems.
When I go back to the Instant Upload Gallery and select the picture, I see the picture in proper aspect for about 2 seconds. The picture then resizes to a letterbox or squeezed version. This does not happen in my "camera" pictures. Only web albums...
I attach two pictures of screen shots. (Yes, my wife hit something in the car and popped a hole in my oil pan... but that is for another forum... )
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

This. I've used QuickPic since i've badly wanted to Organize all of my photos easily. If you're like me and dislike using replacement apps for things such as the Gallery, just get a launcher that allows you to change the Icon and Name of it so it doesn't bother you like it bothers me.

I have quickpic installed but it does not show web albums from G+ (Picasa) correct?
Thanks for responding.. no one seems to be having this issue but me... it also says I can't download the pics from Instant Upload to my phone so I can edit them...
Edit: I found an even better program called Just Pictures! It allows for Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket, etc... as far as web albums! Looks like a really good alternative to Galley! YAY!!!

4.2 Camera port???

Droid life had this posted today.
http://www.droid-life.com/2012/10/31/download-camera-apk-from-android-4-2-photo-sphere-included/
I also see it's available for the I9300.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966038
I'm not a developer, but how hard would it be to port over to our Verizon model (SCH-I535)?
Right now it opens on the VZ S3 with CM10 and has at least limited access to the camera. Photosphere does not work and it crashes when pictures are taken. Once it crashes it loses access to the camera hardware until a reboot. The gallery side of the app appears to work perfectly and is very smooth and nice. I'm guessing the barrier to getting it working on the S3 is relatively low, perhaps a few libraries, but I've only been playing with it for a few minutes so haven't looked at what's actually going on under the hood yet.

Yea, I just read that. I wouldn't think it would take to long to get it up and running. There's a pretty good community here!
Supposedly the SGS3 has the libs needed already. I too have the same issues as mentioned. You can launch the camera, play around with settings however upon taking a picture it will freeze and force close. Pictures taken with this camera show up in gallery as blank. I'm guessing a bit more work needs to be done before it can be ported over for us. On a side note the new keyboard is pretty sweet.
Edit: Running Liquid Smooth RC7.
Android Police just posted this....
http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/10/31/download-the-android-4-2-cameragallery-app-with-new-ui-editing-photo-sphere/
I'm making a backup now, then I will flash and report back. They don't specify any one device though...
No dice. Flashed and rebooted but the camera seems to be the same. No Photo Sphere.......
EDIT - Cancel that! There are 2 camera APK's. Clicked the wrong one! Seems to work.

So Photo Sphere still doesn't work though, right? Also, are flashing on a TW Rom or AOSP?

From my understanding after reading about it on the Android Police link posted above. Is that the phot sphere does work you just can't view it on your phone. You have to share it to google+ and then log into your google+ and you can view it from there.

Try this one guys, everything seems to be working fine for me with this approach.

Did you flash the zip or do it manually?
tried doing it manually and it freezes after the first picture and then i get "can not connect to camera"
Spoke too soon, the same happens to me. But all the rest works including video and the new panorama, too bad.
I installed the one from android police earlier today, works pretty good. I cant take the photosphere pics, but cant view on the phone.
I am on a deodex rooted stock rom. I have both TW camera and 4.2 camera.
Did you add the libs?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I'm running AOKP JB on a build simiar to M1. I had the photo sphere working great. I was even able to view the stitched photo in the new gallery that it installed. But then tonight I went to take some regular pics of the kiddo dressed up for Halloween and it locked up hard. Could view photos in the gallery or take any pictures. I needed up flashing my backup cause I had to take pictures tonight.
I'm guessing someone will come up with a fix soon for it though. I think Android Police or someone on Android Police commented that this is an old build. Maybe that has something to do with......?
Anyone got it working on liquid smooth??
