Whoever is or has used the MIUI Rom knows that all the Icons are similar, they look the same whether they're custom made or not.
Has anyone tried make a MOD for that, so that when a APK is downloaded, the ICON comes out like a style like the other Icons?
If you don't understand, look at this picture

Look at the Facebook Icon and the Calculator Icon on the left side.
The Calculator is a Custom Icon, yes, but the Facebook Icon is the normal Icon with the Squareish shape around it. Anytime you would download an APK that didn't have a Custom Icon, it would still get the shape around it.
Again, has anyone attempted to make a MOD like this, or is it even possible outside the MIUI Rom.
I know in ADW EX launcher there's an option to add backgrounds to the icons just like in the MIUI ROM. However, outside of using this launcher (which is totally awesome and I highly recommend) you're just going to have to create custom ones and replace them yourself (still using either regular ADW or Launcher Pro). Hope this helps!

that is a part of the launcher so you will need to find the images from its apk
edit: adw can trun off background anyways and probably so can other launchers besides stock

I located it , and even found a transparent dock I want to replace it with so that the icons are dockless & scroll bar-less lol & look like they are just floating there. I just cant figure out how to add the new one in there with 7zip to keep it as an .mtz file. I am able to do it in zip format but miui 3.25 gb version onlt recognizes .mtz themes
This is what I want

But the theme isn't compatible with gb2.3 look at the menus

Well, I don't know about you guys, but one of the things I LOVE about a modded ROM is dropdown toggles. There is nothing I hate more than having to search through menus to turn wifi/bluetooth on and off. Dropdowns are very convenient, but the dropdowns that are available in the play store clutter up my pulldown screen and I get annoyed with the "ongoing" message.
Well, until we get dropdowns on a modded ROM I have found an alternative for myself that I thought I would share.
Apex launcher (see my OP on apex for links) has a scrolling dock bar and actually allows you to put 1x1 widgets in the dock bar for use (if you have the pro version)! Very convenient.
Toggle Widgets Pack ha all of the widgets that we normally use, and all are 1x1. It even has a reboot widget for Root users! However the GPS toggle just takes you to the GPS menu which is frustrating.
But I found this GPS toggle with a Root exploit that allows it to be used as a toggle like we are used to.
Now while they are not that pretty, they are extremely handy. Which is what I look for! :good:

I wanna add a few more apps onto the slider targets, on my lockscreen, but there aren't enough system icons to cover many apps - mainly the basic ones + Twitter and Facebook.
Is there a System Icon Pack to match those on lockscreen? Or something very close to it? I can't find much in the Play Store, so maybe there are some around on here.

Hello, i'm not sure if this goes in themes and apps as it not really that as it's more of a request than that, and putting it in troubleshooting is exaggerating it a bit as there is no problem, so i just popped it in general. (basically: move it all you want)
One request Anyone seen or made a theme for AOSP Navbar? basic navbar nothing else no wallpaper no random status bar colour, just plain theme with AOSP navbar. I've looked all over the place (mainly on the plays store) but nothing.
MASSIVE NOTE:
I know you can use Xposed to install all sorts of navbars but i just want to stay unrooted for the moment as i did a quite big(massive...) doodoo a few days ago and want to cool down a bit before i dive back into the world of rooting.
Thanks in advance
here's an example of of what i want thanks

works real well, dunno why people have never put one on the play store. THANKS!
Okey, so I made myself a theme since I could not find anyone that suited my colour needs.
Im using this theme with Superman Romcontrol and Flat Style Bar Indicators to get the look I want to.
I do not think you will get the pure black incall UI without RomControl, could not find any options for it in Theme Editor.
Im also using Nova Launcher and Textra SMS, so I am not really sure how this theme will look on the OEM launcher or in the Messages APP.
This was intended for personal use so I do not think there wil be any updates.
Im not a pro theme maker or anything!
If you wanna try it out just try
DOWNLOAD IS AT THE BOTTOM
For the S7 Edge Modell
1) Install the APK
2) Hit free trial when you see the theme in theme store
3) You have a free minutes so quickly use your root explorer and go to /data/overlays/jsonfiles/trialjson and move the file to /userjson
4) Go to /data/overlays/perferences and delete everything
5) RESTART
6) The apply Theme for Themes in settings once more, and you are good to go
The colours looks better on phone screen than in these pics at my computer
