The developer probably needs to update it to work with Gingerbread. There's a lot of differences under the hood with our NS, even if it actually looks a lot like Froyo.
Have you contacted the developer? Here's his website, and there's always an email link in the Market page for an app to report problems and make requests.
Thanks I just saw that it doesn't work guess ill wait for an update.

Thats strange.... My phone worked once I rooted. I change the settings to 180-200, press the button, and it reboots with new settings.
I'm having the same problem...

I rooted using SuperOneClick and had no issues. Not sure what method you used, but I haven't experienced lag on the keyboard.
I did...had to reboot the phone to make it go away

he only has 2 posts though lol. In regards to the author of this OP I think I would avoid changing the density via an app, you can do it manually via the property files I think, but again probably a risky venture if you aren't too aware of how it works.
Additionally, some apps don't work well when the density is changed others may but some dont lol.

KD1 ROM's do NOT like changing the screen density via app. The LCD Density Changer App and others does not seem to work well.
I downloaded the files,i used 7 zip to extract the files but it made a regular file, and when I connect the g2x following the instructions, it doesn't connect....I'm like totally lost

Thanks...it worked
Yay
After that would it be rooted already or do I have to do something else with it?
I'm trying to freeze some boat ware to maximize the speed of the g2x
And before the update I had used super one click and it was easy from there
The apps I had before say error no root privileges
So I'm lost, I have looked it up on here but I guess I'm not looking for my answers correctly....

You need to consider upgrading to Gingerbread. Can't help you with Froyo. You can look at the guide in the first link of my signature if you decide to. Unless you are rooted - use the guide in the second link of my signature.
Not that I think it'll make a difference, but what if you try to set it from:
Settings -> Display -> Wallpapers -> Lock screen wallpaper

I figured as much. Odd problem, but like Lumin30, I don't have Froyo anymore and I'm not sure what to tell you to try.
If you're rooted and have CWM installed, you might try booting into recovery and fixing permissions. Past that we might need someone else to chime in.
Good luck

AHHH that was some needed info.
If you was to contact T-Mo or Samsung the response will be saves texts, calls and other important data to sd card and do a factory reset/data wipe. Sometimes android just needs to be cleaned up to run better.

WUT?!
What are you doing here, then?! LOL. Get on GB, and flash Val-Final for starters. I bet that would fix your problem.
My sidekick has been recently just replaying the start-up screen. Once in a while it'll fully boot but then it just shuts off after a few seconds. I haven't messed around with it at all so I can't think of what may be causing this. If anyone could help that would be amazing. Thanks a lot!
Could be many things, if you debugging enabled try to get a logcat. Or if you don't mind loosing your data use hiemdall or Odin to flash back to stock fully

Do I not need to be rooted for odin?
Nope, just put phone in download mode. If unfamiliar on how to use this I suggest hiemdall, Adam Outler made a one click hiemdall package which you can find in the first page or so of developer section, very very easy to use

Some users also have had issues with the display ribbon cable coming loose at the hinge. You may also want to check out your battery..
Did you install any new software? There are apps out there that will cause boot loops on Froyo/Gingerbread.
Good luck. I miss the keyboard on my Sidekick, but I don't miss that crummy Samsung abomination that powers it.
