Polaris Message: "SIM card missing" - Touch Cruise General

Message: "SIM card missing" after dismantling
I dismantled my Polaris yesterday. Since I did it, it says "SIM card missing". I'm sure the SIM connector that plugs into the motherboard is well attached, but there's is not way for it to get the SIM card. I soft-reseted it lots of times because somebody told it could be the solution (after taking apart Polaris into pieces).
I don't know what to do. Looking into the forums somebody also said that some "EMI gasket" is vital for it to work, but I don't remember having removed it

you should try to clean the SIM connector on your device with an easy dry cleaning fluid

No memory card recognized

Hi, I have HTC Polaris (touch cruise) and i have a problem. Two days ago, in my HTC memory card (SDHC 4GB) suddenly dissappeared. I tried three cards (1GB, 2x 4GB SDHC) and neither one worked. It shows "Not installed" in Memory in Windows. Neither Hard-reset nor soft-reset helped. There is no password protection or something. Card is OK, i can read it from Artemis. I tried taking it out and reinserting it in all different states (off, on, in between resets etc) but to no avail. I am afraid, that it would be something, i cannot handle in home and I will have to send my phone to be repaired... If anyone has a idea, or solution of this, please, let me know
thats what happened with my 2nd touch cruise... either return/exchange it, or send it to get it fixed

Sim not detected!

My Polaris is not detecting Sim Card. I have tried:
a. Changing Sim Card.
b. Flashing to official Rom and Radio.
c. Cleaned the connector itself.
Can someone suggest some possible solution for this issue......!!!
Same Problem Here
Mustking, I have the same problem although not as bad as yours. I believe it is the SIM card reader. Mine works 98% of the time and every now and then just goes offline. It then comes up with SIMcard not found.
See my post here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3980181#post3980181
If you find a solution I am all ears!
I had the same problem where it wasn't working at all not recognising all sims i had to send it back to HTC they replaced something and the main Mobo

[q] sim card slot on hp touchpad

Hi Everyone, has anyone tried to crack open and put in a sim card as shown here: techrepublic "Cracking Open the HP Touchpad" I can't post a link as I am a new user, but will post it in 8 hours when I get permission.
Would love to know if anyone has this working or has at least tried it.
Here is the link

mine has a sim card slot i can actually pop out???
What do you mean? You can actually put in a sim card in the slot? If so, have you tried putting in a sim card? Did it register a Network provider?
Are you sure you are not just talking about the "serial number" that pops out, but is blocked (no space for a sim card)
yes it should pop out
Perhaps you accidentally bought the Touchpad 4G? That ought to have a SIM slot.
??????
Did you try to put a sim card in the slot, or are you simply referring to the "serial number" pop out. They are not the same.
If you did put a sim card in, did it work?
I see what youre talking about in those pictures, but it doesnt look like it has any sort of electrical connection going to it.

[Q] sim card replacement

i bought a t959v with cracked screen for main board. i have a new lcd replacment screen. when i put it together and turn it on i try to make a call it says not registered on network also not seeing any internet signal but is showing full 4 bars for reception .when i hit software update it says DM initialization not ready check nrtwork or sim card. i know sim card is good because i just took it from another t959v. is there a way to check reader . thinking it might be bad.called t mobile and had phone registered. is it easy to swap out sim reader. thanks. ps i swaped a main board out like this once before and it conected with no problem
try reseating the simcard part (requires unscrewing and removing the back). While the part is removed, check all the pins to make sure they are connected right.

SIM card reading error. PLEASE HELP, im driving crazy.

Hi there!
So i got a NEXUS 5 32GB.
Short story: i had an old SIM card, like 5-10 year old, when i bought the phone. I cut the card into microsim, and worked like a charm. (You know, nexus stuff when no service sometimes like once in a week (restart solved always the problem)). Now i contracted with a new service provider, and the (3in1) micro sim i get is unreadable to the phone.
Detials:
-The new card working in other phones without problem.
-I went to my carrier and get a new sim card, doesnt work either. (so the sim card(s) not defected)
-Tried different SIM cards in my phone-> working only the old SIM cards, new micro sims doesnt
-Tried almost every softwere stuff, (factory reset, FR in recovery mode, flashing 4.4 android, flashing other androids, flashed radio files etc.etc) ->non of them worked.
-We disassembled the phone, the sim reader is looking perfect, not a scratch, all pins in order etc.
-THE MAIN problem: however i insert the new card(s), phone says only "No sim card, emergency call only". Can't even set up the mobile services, nothing. Only can turn on-off the NFC, Airplane mode etc.
-When inserting the old cutted card, works perfectly.
I'm paying now for 2month for the new card, but can't use it....
Please help me!!!
Any kind of help will be appreciated.
Thank you very much.
Have a nice day.
PS.: Sorry for my english, i'm from Hungary.
