make a donation( Don't be stingy ) and then you can download the Fission Rom Manager app for your phone. It has all the downloads inside it. Keep a copy of the download link in your favorites just in case.
I figured it out I got the lite version of fission rom going that way for now to see if im going to keep it. Im trying all the roms out first. Not sure wich one I like yet.

Hi all. I am having trouble with rom manager. I came from a droid incredible where I used rom manager pro. Now that I have a Dx I downloaded the program and pro version again. However it still thinks I am using a dinc. If I go to download a rom it gives me the list for the incredible rather then the X. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this?

when you open rom manager there will be a icon all the way up top that says flash clockworkmod recovery ,,,,hit it and it will ask you for your device name ,,,select dx and then it will take a second and you will be good to go
Thank you bro that worked perfectly and it makes common sense. Embarrassing I didn't realize it.

I wanted to flash the ROM on my captivate to some of the selections in the download section. But its not really user friendly for me. Was wanting some tips on how to use it. YouTube didn't provide much also.

ROMManager doesn't have much of a selection for us captivate users
But you have to purchase the premium version to see the downloads and the only ROM available is CM7. If you do decide to get CM7... make sure you go to that thread and double check directions.. instructions for ROMManager installation are in the OP.

So the free version is useless for captivate users.

It's still nice to have, to flash a recovery or manage your backups..or make a backup. ROM Manager is still a great app, but you need the premium version for the CM7 updates and such. From what i hear, other phones actually have more roms to download and stuff. Just not the captivate. Lame sauce I know..

the rom makers here just havent gone to hosting on Rom manager its not that big of a deal. Its not at all necessary unless you want to keep downloading and flashing CWM through there, which you can find in the android dev section.
So I searched the Themes and Apps section but I could not find anything on this. I would like to use CM7's email apk on stock OTA Gingerbread. I'm running xboarders rooted stock ota and have CWM installed. Is there a way I can flash it over the one i have now? Thanks.
If you look around in his OP on his roms I think he has it as a downloadable add on. If you can't find it PM me with your email. I will try to post it here later. I am sure it is on here some where. I have a copy that I downloaded.

the ROM manager from android market doesn't have my phone listed for the clockword mod recovery. So I can't do the backup and restore or flash or whatever.
This is my first time rooting so I want to make sure everything is backed up. Can't do it without this program.
I know the version I need because others with LG Optimus 3D also can't get there phone with the current ROM manager.
I found it on google but it's from mediafire. It's also the premium version so that's stealing from the author. It could have viruses.
Is there a legit site where I can get old versions?
No need to have ROM Manager to backup or restore the phone.
If you have the recovery installed, just into it. Next go to backup/restore
Then choose backup.

no that's what I am saying. I can't install the recovery because my phone is not listed.
There is an old version of ROM manager with my phone listed, but it's an illegal premium version from mediafire.
I don't know if it's safe.
Put a new cwm manualy on your phone instead of trying to find it in Rom manager

Recovery Manager
Hey,
If you found an old one, could you let me know where from? I need to flash recovery on an HTC Hero.. alternatively, if you didn't: have you tried the Recovery Manager app on the market? It's the one with the two gear icons, com.simran.recmanager .. sorry, i'm a noob so i can't post externa links. It might support your phone.
Try 4shared

Hi,
I know it was a while ago but can you make the old rom manager available for me, please? I couldn't find it anywhere, even on apktops, and I would desperately need it for my old HTC Hero.
Thank you!
since none of the developers i have talked to have these files, i would like to know if someone has the odin STOCK rom .tar and .pit files that aren't on multiupload... i want to go back to stock since the rom i am using is horrible and no one is making any new ones.. thanks
Well stock sucks I have them at home but it will be a while before I get there. Have you tried my rom? Ill be releasing a very stable release soon. Maybe its the one you think sucks who know. But ill upload the odin files later today.

the one that i have now is not yours. i just downloaded yours. the rage 3.0.2 which i am going to try now. are there any issues with it?
You have to set the apn manually and its missing a lot of unessisary apps maybe hold off until the release of 3.0.3 but its up to you. What have been the issues with the rom you are using? Either way ill upload the odin stuff and a more stable release of rage tonight hopefully

this rom is smooth. the only thing i have noticed is that there is no touch screen keyboard. i tried to download one and it installed but i still cant open it to use it. i actually have to use my keyboard which i can't use because of fat fingers.
Go into locale and text and make sure the one you downloaded is enabled.
thanks d3xtro
for future reference, if you should need to restore your phone or something, the tar files have been re-uploaded here:
