I have a rooted Droid 1 which is now stuck in boot animation. Freezes up, then loops again. I can't seem to get it into recovery mode. Any suggestions?
Are you in the process of trying to root it or is it rooted and was functioning? I had that happen to me when I was rooting, and it was because I hadn't done a factory reset in clockwork mod before I flashed CM.
Eddie.

It is rooted and was running fine. tried to download a new battery app from xda and when it went to reboot, froze up in the middle of the animation, then loops back again. Using Clockwork

Did you back anything up before it started to loop reboot? If so I can only think of restoring and trying again. Although I'm sure there is someone else who is better informed than me. Very much doubt it's bricked, put it that way.
Eddie.
everything has been backed up. Can't get it into recovery mode

Ok, I rooted by Droid 1 with soup or route and that worked fine.
Installed ROManager and Clockwork, that worked fine.
DLd Lucid ROM and got stuck into a bootloop with that.
Finally booted into a back up from clockwork (don't ask me how, i genuinely don't remember).
Now i cant boot into clockwork.
When i try it boots into the triangle warning screen ( as if it were a partial brick) and i vol+&Picture and get into Stock recovery. Click reboot and boot back into the same ol' stock, albeit rooted Droid.
I tried to reflash Clockwork to no avail.
Any ideas? or am i SOL on custom ROMs?
Thanks!
EDIT: I am still new here! so if this is in the wrong topic please let me know thanks!

Hey all, first time posting here,
So, I rooted my phone a few days ago and flashed Invisiblek's CM10(Running the August 10th build), using the instructions found here. Haven't had any problems at all until now. I had to reboot my phone, and now it's stuck in a boot loop. The CWMR screen is missing the background, and it won't let me boot into ODIN mode. What do I do?
Thank you for any help!

You should be able to boot into odin by taking the battery out, and then putting it back in while holding Volume Down + Home + Power at the same time. And then just flash a stock or stock rooted image in odin.
There we go. Thank you very much!
Flashed the ROM linked from here. Now I'm stuck on the 4G LTE screen. Suggestions?
Flashed it again. Still nothing. Did I brick it?
If you can get into Odin mode, I suggest flashing back go stock and starting over. If you can't get Odin to work, or even enter download mode then you might have other problems.

I am (thankfully) able to get into odin mode. Where can I get the stock ROM for the US VZW version? I haven't been able to find that anywhere, and the thread on here only has dead links.
Flashed again, still nothing. I get stuck at the 4G LTE loading screen.
Found a stock ROM and flashed back to it. Still stuck at that screen. Did I brick it?

So, I've got it worked out so that I have a recovery image made of a rooted version of the stock ROM. However, I SWEAR a kitten dies every time I look at the TouchPiss interface, but whenever I try to flash Invisiblek's CM10 I get stuck in a boot loop. Any ideas as to what's causing it? I've tried clearing data/cache/davlik cache before flashing the ROM, after flashing the ROM...
Would there be any way at all that I could flash it through ODIN?
I have a problem when I reboot into recovery. The recovery that I am using on my HTC One S is TWRP. When I go into the bootloader and go to recovery, it will boot up to the HTC screen with red text on it. Then the phone will restart and boot normally. Then I would have to go to bootloader again and go into recovery and then it goes into TWRP. I don't know why I have to do this twice. I am not sure what I have done wrong and I can't find a way to fix this. Also I've been trying to flash CM10 and on the first boot, it stays on the animation for a long time. And one last thing. Root checker says I am rooted but when I use Apex Launcher and use a stock HTC widget, it says that it doesn't have root permissions. So can anyone help me with this? This is also my first time on XDA. Another problem. When I restore from a backup, it boots up fine. But then it stays on the lockscreen for couple of seconds and it restarts again. And when I rooted my phone by flashing SuperUser, It didn't say upgrading android. Was it suppose to?

My devise is unlocked, rooted and I have flashed clockwork recovery. I backed up my system using clockwork and was still using my ASUS system. I wanted to reset the tablet to factory and when I did it just went to the Android. After 20 minitues I realized there was a problem since it kept spinning. I tried to reboot to recovery by holding down the power and down vol keys but it will not go to recovery. Any Ideas? any Help.
No one will believe this

So I was really upset about the tablet and just left it in the loop. Even after I attempted to re-boot it several times I was trying to let the battery run out. Well after about an hour it booted into the factory reset tablet. I'm going to leave it alone!! No more roms or recovery's for me. All I saw was $400 down the drain. Thank God its running again.
Next time you can follow these steps in order to install the stock ROM.:
http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...er-update-your-me301t-using-adb-fastboot.html
It works with fastboot which means that you can flash the ROM even if the device is bootloops.
It saved more than once
I installed Liquid Smooth ROM last night and stuck in boot loop now. I can't even boot into TWRP recovery. When I boot to recovery from bootloader, Teamwin logo flashes few times, then I see Liquid Smooth animation for few seconds and phone reboots.
What can be done to fix this?
UPDATE: Was unable to push twrp recovery, finally restored the phone by following this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727831 and back to normal now.

Try to re-push the TWRP recovery and boot to it again.

Weird.. This sounds like what happened to my phone the other night. I updated AdAway hosts file, did a reboot, walked away came back a few mins and saw the Liquid boot animation, then noticed it reboot then try to boot up, then reboot again, so I tried booting into TWRP and it did the same, tried to do a flash of a ROM and it rebooted within a few seconds. So I decided the only option was to try the RUU and luckily after that everything is back to normal. But with all the weird-ness going on in these threads with peoples phones, it was a true scare.
So many weird things with root on this phone that I've never heard/encountered before. I'm just gonna chill on clean ROM with sense 6 toolbox and lay low for a while w/o flashing hoping an explanation is made.

I really couldn't agree more! I feel like the carriers especially Verizon want total control of any device that's on their network.
Before long we are all going to be waiting for a jailbreak team to give us root on each update.:crying:

Maybe because they do? That's not exactly a secret... To varying degrees of course, with T-Mobile caring the least, and Verizon caring the most.
