[Q] Hold to Cap Keyboard? - Android Apps and Games

As a long time Blackberry user, one of the features I miss most is the ability to capitalize a letter simply by pressing the key and briefly holding it down.
Under Android, holding down a key pops up Shift Character, which I all but never use.
Anyone know of a replacement keyboard or mod which will cap on a keypress hold?

Map Long Press of Send and End key?

I have a Sprint Touch and it only has one hardware button that is customizable. I was hoping with HButton I would be able to map the Send and End key if I pressed and held these buttons to do different tasks.
Is this possible with this program? If not, is there a way to do it?

Any good software to help with the D-Pad issues?

I bought and used GScroll for a while and liked it... but ran into a few too many issues with that program active. Often when I wanted to hit a button and my finger slightly slid over the button, it would do a left/right movement or up/down movement.
I read of another app from here that makes the call and end buttons act as left/right buttons. But that application appears to only be designed for game use. As in, when you're done playing the game, you close the app.
Is there anything similar to that yet that runs all the time? I think the perfect app would replace the phone buttons with the following:
A long press of the green or red button would do the normal phone duties.
A quick press of the green or red button imitates a left or right press.
Is there anything out there yet that does that?

How to remap keys ?

Hi
does anyone know how to remap keys, I would like to remap the green call button to list recntly used apps, the one that we get when we long press home key.
Really miss the alt-back key combination of blackberry.
i think a quick key to app switcher will make any device really faster

Click to collapse
Press and hold the 'Home' button and it'll show you the list of the last 6 recently used apps.
thanks,
but i do know the long press home button, or press and hold home key.
I want to remap this function to the green call button instead.
so that i can get to the application switcher in one key stroke instead of pressing and holding

Mac USB Keyboard works on stock ROM 3389

I have been trying to get any external keyboard to work on my Gtab since I got it for Christmas(wife wrapped it and made me wait...). I haven't had time to try the other ROMs yet, so I'm still on the stock 3389 update.
I couldn't get any of my USB or Bluetooth keyboards to work. I searched the forums and saw that someone suggested to boot with the USB device plugged in. So, I figured I would try this. Turns out all I needed to do was plug the keyboard in while the Gtab was sleeping, and then wake it up. The caps lock light blinked, so I knew it had just gotten power, and I had full keyboard access! The keyboard that I am using is an old Bondi Blue iMac keyboard. The arrow keys navigated around the Classic Home screen with no issues, so I started pressing keys to see what worked. So far, the Home key takes me to Classic Home and the Left Command/Apple Key brings up the menu. The right Command/Apple key doesn't do anything. My personal favorite is when I pressed the keyboard's Power Key. It actually puts the Gtab to sleep, and will wake it up again when I press a second time! (though I just discovered that any key will wake it back up...)
I have newer Mac keyboards in my basement, so I plan to test them out aswell, but I have to say the Power Key putting the Gtab to sleep just made my day!
-----------------
F1 - brings up menu
F3 - crashes whatever app your in
F4 - does the same as pressing the power key(sleep/wakes up)
ESC - same as back button
Typing in the Classic Home screen goes straight to search
in Classic Home the space bar brings up some wierd window with a bunch of secondary characters, like ... Registered trademark Copyright _under+ [] {} \ |
If you let it sleep too long it, when you press a key the Gtab doesn't want to wake up too easily. Takes some patience and pressing the power key on the side of the Gtab.

[Q] Accidental home key presses -- Move keyboard up?

I keep accidentally pressing the Home key when typing a message, and I would like to find a way to move the keyboard up on the screen just a bit to avoid this. Or to disable the home key when keyboard is up, either way. I am open to third-party keyboards, but I don't want Swipe-style.
