Hello everybody,
This is my first time on these forums and I already have a problem. I tried to flash my Galaxy S (2.2 at the time) to 2.2.1 and now I get a black screen. Both my recovery mode and download mode work, and I even tried flashing again, still nothing. I did not have it rooted nor did I have a lagfix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (And yes I did search the forums but did not find an answer to my problem). So how can I fix this?

Hi guyz,
I'm new with rooting, and flashing.
I've downloaded feamod recovery for the i9001. But when I was done with flashing via odin, and I started up my phone, you see the samsung screen, and then he is download mode. But i can't just start up my phone, I think it is soft bricked, but how can I fix this? Should I send it to samsung to repair it, and how much money will that cost? I already tried to flash again, but it didnt work. Help me please!
Kind regards, nikosb10
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
If you can get it into recovery mode and download mode you can fix the softbrick yourself.
Either put the stock **** back on your phone leaving you with an unrommed phone
Or, USB jig it they are only a £5 or $6
Hey Guys,
I am new here and don't know if I am posting this in the right place, but i really hope someone would help. i recently tried to install a custom rom on my ace duos. i flashed a cwm recovery mode and went on to flash the custom rom. After flashing my phone is stuck on the '' SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE duos'' screen. i tried to do a recovery and realised that the cwm has been replaced by stock recovery mode. i lost all files on sd card and its blank. i tried pushing files through adb but command prompt doesn't detect my phone. so i am left with a wiped out phone which cannot be detected by a pc and there is no way to push files.
Hoping someone would be kind enough to help me out,
Vijith S
Hi,
Are you sure the Rom you flashed supported your exact model? Flashing other models software can go very bad.
Please ask for help here...And specify your exact model number when you do, as this is the Ace 2 section technically...

Hello, I'm a newbie on this android thing.
I tried to install CM 7.2 on my Galaxy Young but it turned out to be a very bad rom; Wi-Fi and camera didn't work. I finally found a good room, (or at least I think it's good) in this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-y/development/rom-t2866838 but now my recovery won't work. It gets stucked and the phone restarts. I try to install a new recovery from ODIN, since the original recovery won't start and the process fails, I don't know if I'm downloading the wrong recovery or I just bricked the phone.
So, please, would you guys tell me if anything can be done? or how do I install a new recovery so I can get the rom working
Thanks in advance! Have a good night.

Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! You need to make sure you have the right recovery for your device, and then just flash it in fastboot mode. If you have any more difficulties, please register and ask your questions here: Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.
Good luck!
I have an S6 wich somehow messed up when trying to root.I am on 5.1.1 and saw a video on a website on how to root it.I dont know what I got wrong or if I was being cheated but Im soft bricked, bootlooping with 'recovery is not seandroid' on screen.Unfortunately I dont have USB-Debugging active. When I tried to flash on stock rom (5.1.1 stock) with odin,it gets stuck on "Nand write started" and doesnt do anything else.I have tried flashing tons of things but none of them seem to get past the "Nand" phase.I can get to download mode but not on recovery. :crying: Can someone please help ?

Hello guys,
A few months ago, I rooted my phone using kingroot. After a few weeks, i tried to install TWRP custom recover to unlock bootloader. I accidently downloaded a wrong version of it and flashed it using flashify app, after which i booted into recovery to check the new recover mode. But, something awkward happened. THE BOOT MODE DIDN'T OPEN AND THE SCREEN GOT STUCK AT "Booting into recovery". I read on the internet and realised that my device has got soft-bricked. Also, phone wasn't rebooting. So, i found a solution atleast start my phone. I took out my battery, pressed the buttons for download mode and then placed the battery back in and pressed the buttons for download mode and somewhow rebooted my phone (i read about this technique in xda forums). Now, although my phone works but i cannot access the recovery mode as it has got soft-bricked. Thus, i cannot perform a hard reset as it gets caught in that "recovery booting stuck cycle". So, can anyone tell me how to fix this? PLS QUICKLY. aLSO, i don't know much about ADB, so pls explain that too as my friend suggested me to use ADB to fix softbrick but im not sure!!
