[Q] Focus in Video? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello folks, its nice to have moved over here from the Hero forums!
I see that this question has been asked of other phones, but not the Nexus S yet: Is there anyway to focus when shooting video? I dont need continuous focus or anything, just a quick focus before recording, shooting photographs seems fine..

Quake and 3d games on advantage

Hi guys
Being a newbie, am i the only one frustrated by the lack of killer games for our htc advantages.
Has anyone managed to get games like quake to run using the glorious landscape screen?
Please post here any good examples of 3d gaming and fps etc for our machines.
Regards
Andy

I see you are new to our forum so welcome. I'm not a games player, however, cktlcmd has prepared quite a list here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404678
Personally I don't know whether any are 3d or not so if you already did look there then apologies.
In future as a word of warning I suggest that you use the search features of this forum first and then state so before posting questions like yours. The link is actually to a post 9 below yours on the same page. Many on the forum don't like to help others who "appear" not to have helped themselves first.
Welcome again and I hope you can contribute to the forum as well as have fun with the games. Posting your experiences on what works and what does not would be great to read for many and can helpo the chefs cook in fixes.
Thanks Robjhellis
I'm more interested in trying to get to work the non-commercial games such as ports ansd emulators.
I've tried so far:
Scuumv - great works really well
Picodrive - also excellent
Pocketquake - no joy keeps failing to load - any ideas
spvDuke - loads but black screen - could be a config screen resolution issue - any ideas
So i'm interested in any others who have got such stuff to work and how they went about it.
Regards
Andy
Hi there,
I would suggest that you use the link I posted and leave a note for cktlcmd to answer. I bet he and others who are following that thread would be interested in the games you've got working and the ones that don't and between all of you you'll probably come up with some good stuff.
Good luck.

What are we, 12? It took the Android world that long to create a ridiculously powerful and expensive phone all so that it can achieve the same UI framerate as iOS did on the very first iPhone?
I love Android, but I think people need to be more humble about where it's come from and how it differs from iOS.

looking for someone to record video for game

Hello everyone! I'm not sure if this is the wrong section, let me know if it is. And if I understand right, I'm not allowed to post the link to my game since its paid? Anyways I'm looking for someone with a higher end rooted device to record a bunch of high quality video of my game some I can put together a trailor. As I am using the nexus 7, I can't record it myself. Reply to this thread if your interested, and I will send you the link. Its 99ยข, and trust me, this is very polished professional looking game. Not just some piece of junk someone threw together in ten minutes.
Hello sadly i also didnt root my current device until now , but how about contacting one or some of the thousand guys who already uploaded their recorded game videos on youtube?
I think its the most easy way !
Also there you can choose the skilled guys!
Just for interest...
