From what I've seen, it all depends.
Camera isn't the stock fast shooting camera in ROMs. If you need that, flashing ROMs wouldn't be the best choice for you.
Okay thanks I think I may just stay with ICS 4.0 then till the next android gets released in autumn?

What do you mean? Do you mean you will wait for the Nexus line of devices?
Almost all the roms have the stock camera. Only AOKP, CM9 and MIUI based builds + those where it is removed doesn't have it. TrickDroid and leeDroid has it. These roms are very similar to stock rom, except for some tweaks to improve batterylife/performance and they are deodexed to make it easier to tweak/theme
No I mean when the next Android os is released, called jellybean if I'm correct?

Oh, that's not released yet, so were not really sure if It's going to be Jelly Bean or something else. I will probably flash a Rom with next android version right after It's released, but I think it will take a while before It's stable enough for daily use

Oh... I always thought that the sense camera was unable to be placed onto a ROM, but any sense based ROM has the sense camera?
Not every sense based roms. There also are some roms called senseless roms, where apps and launcher and such ate replaced with aosp alternatives. As mentioned above, TrickDroid and LeeDroid are roms with sense camera

No, because XDA friends on 'best ROM' threads.
It is all subjective, so just read the Dev threads, download the ones which sound good to you and then try them and decide for yourself.

Please just dont talk ****. -.-
my guess would be Sabs Prime
it depends on how you use your phone. All sense 4 or 4.1 rom has its small bugs. I've tried most of them.. Every rom has its pros and cons.. I personlly say that I like all sense 4 and 4.1 roms that i've tried here. fallout, desire sx, viper rom, sabsa prime. As of the moment since I really like the travel clock I'm using viper rom. If your really looking for a good looking rom viper rom is the best. fall out is fast and stable of them all, i think. Desire sx has the camera fully working (bust mode and video capture). Sabsa I can't remember but I also like this rom and one of the longest rom that i've used second to viper.

Switching from sense rom to non sense rom

I'm on viper one S 2.1 but want to try out some non sense roms... Is there anything in particular I need to do. I'm gonna try the 4.2.2 ones. Do I have to change the radio to work on the non sense roms? Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks

Full wipe and flash away. Radio changing is not necessary.

It's all up too you buddy...I wouldn't even think of running my phone stock, but that's me...I guess some people (my dad for example) would never even think of, or want to root his phone. It's all personal preference.
Take a look at some of the ROM threads in the c2 Dev section and see if any interest you.

1. Root has nothing to do with custom or stock rom
Its a feature that I would not keep permanent on my personal device.
2. Custom rom might be better but it depends on the rom as it might be also much worse.
Im not an old man but i always use Stock roms for my device with slight personal mods.

There are tons more features on custom roms...if that is the answer you are looking for.

if you know all about rooting--just re-root and try one or two for your s3 version
if you don't like it un-root
i would say at least root and have things like Titanium and Nandroids available
this phone can stand on its own not rooted, but i like the tweaks like status bar mods etc
when i get the One or S4 i may only root and flash no roms--may have withdrawal, but will see
Features like

You can root your device and still "stay stock" by using a sense based ROM like viper if you don't want to miss sense and its features.

Or simply root the stock htc rom! Not bad at all, imho.

Comparing Stock and Trickdroid..

Hey guys, which Rom do you prefer to use? Stock jb or TrickDroid 6...Share me Ur opinions pls.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
You probably meant TrickDroid 9.1 unless you own HTC ONE X which has the TrickDroid 6.
I personally prefer TrickDroid which improves dramatically the performance and the battery time as well as many other tiny tweaks.

TrickDroid 6.0.0 can be better adjusted than STOCK ROM
enigma19932 : Add a version of S3
Everyone has different preferences I guess. I prefer stock vanilla android but don't mind sense. If you are going to use a sense based ROM I'd recommend viper ROM or if you prefer stock android, code lungo or pacman ROM are the best I've seen so far

ROM comparisons are not allowed, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143260. Closed
