Yes i know backgrounds are not fancy and everybody likes transparency , but it may be useful to some of you to have a configurable background as shown in this picture:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
INSTALLATION:
1.- Search in windows directory & copy in your SD the file 7c60907d_manila. It is very important to have a back-up of this file if something goes wrong.
2.- Download Poy6BG_Home.mode9.rar and copy one file 7c60907d_manila to windows folder of your device, accept overwrite and restart sense. Which 7c60907d_manila file? inside the zip is 3 file 7c60907d_manila (home.mode9) This file had to be modified to get Poy6BG behind any other widget (I will explain later), I have upload 3 modified versions (original, no line in flip clock, no line in flip clock + colon) you choose your favorite. All inlcudes fix for 20 widgets working at the same time. If you have other different home.mode9 (fix for more than 20 widgets, etc) i will explain later the small changes i did, so you can try yourself or post it here and i will try to do it.
3.- Get free slot0 for Poy6BG. Look in the registry HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.WidgetAddons.Slot0 and uninstall the widget actually installed there (you can install it later in other slot). It is important that Poy6BG be installed in Slot0, so it will be behind any other widget.
4.- Install Poy6BG.cab, activate it in edit mode>add new element>Poy6BG. This widget comes in 3 widths: full screen, half screen and personal width (to be set in the registry HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.Poy6BG.Width); configurable opacity from 100% to 25% each; is resizable in height (up&down); and pinneable.
5.- It comes only in black color, if you wish to use another colors you have to edit the file 1E0E70D5_manila
Kitchen:
Download the full widget kitchen from here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10718996/Poyensa Public Cab/Poy6BG/Poy6BG.rar
You can edit, modify and change anything in the widget. Just be sure to follow Co0kie instructions.
KNOWN ISSUES:
I have tried a lot but I couldn't get Poy6BG behind the co0kie-music player, the co0kie-textclock (date-clock-alarm), the notification icons and the page indicator. The rest of the widgets i have tried are over the background (quick & free links, clocks, weather, email, sms, etc). Feedback is much appreciated.
I also have some problems of overlaping if there is an empty slot in the middle (to have widgets in slots 7 & 9 but not in slot8)
Thanks to Dunc001 for his greats ideas and tests. And of course to co0kie monster for the Co0kie Home Tab 2.0.0
Enjoy this small present for the Three Kings I wish a happy 2011 full of widgets and plenty of nice themes
UPDATE uploaded CHTwPoy6BG_v2.cab full config, needs JMLMenuSense for menu settings.
FIX uploaded CHTwPoy6BG_v3.cab use any texture in PNG format, located in SD or device, as basckground.
home.mode9 modification
I was trying to understand why some widgets are shown over others. I starting point was this thread of rat_2665 in which he makes a great explanation about the relation between the order of elements in mode9 files and the way the objects are displayed in the screen.
So I try to follow this rule and modify the file home.mode9, which set all the elements to be shown in the home screen. The idea is simple: put at the begining of the file the lines related to slot0 and force Poy6BG to be installed in slot0
The modification in home.mode9 consist in find every component where is defined Slot0 and bring it up to to begining of the file. Then force the widget to be installed in slot 0. Aditionally I have also done this modification in the special Slot DevMode. I tested and it (partially) works for me, so I share this experience.
EDIT: the screenshot shoud say ... tip: keep pressed "shift" (arrow up) and cursor up or down, you can move the objects in the tree ....
Not many changes were done. The changes are inside <LibraryManager> lines 5AAF567A9 = value='CHTwidgetDev.mode9' & 5AAF567A9 = value='CHTwidgetSlot0.mode9'
And also inside <Library> bringing up all the <Character>type = 'ComponentClipCharacter' where Slot0 & DevSlot is contained
Thats the reason of many differents 7c60907d_manila (home.mode9 file) I have made this modifications in some files i have but may be many others files 7c60907d_manila that has to be modified in this way to get Poy6BG working correctly on them.
Anyway the investigation is not finished beacuse some widgets as co0kie music player, co0kie textclock (date-clock-alarm), notification icons, page indicator and CHTS icons are always behind Poy6BG, so there is something to discover yet Please post your feedback, if possible include a list of installed widgets and asigned slot in HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.AddonWidgets.SlotXX

Hi Poyensa,
Just to say once again thank you very much for sharing all your great work.
A wonderful 2011 to you and yours!
Wow, if this works, you are a ****in genius
I am going to try this tomorrow and give you some feedback ^^
Poy, you are indeed a genius Had a moment on first use where the clock appeared behind the background, but once I changed home levels and back it was all as it should be.
Great work again
blank widget XD LOVE it
but the background always in front of all widget @[email protected]"
Well done, you are amazing.
Asked one little problem
Repeat to add this background to any screen, what do you do?
Thank you for your New Year's small toys

Be sure to follow this steps:
1.- Safe copy of actual 7c60907d_manila
2.- Copy new 7c60907d_manila in windows folder, accept overwrite and restart sense
3.- Get free slot0 by uninstalling the existing widget there
4.- Install Poy6BG (be sure it has been installed in slot0)
5.- Be sure to have no jumps (slots free) in the middle of the registry HKCU\Software\Manila\CHT.AddonWidgets.SlotXX (every slot should have a widget)
With this rules is working in my HD2 manila 2.5.2016. I have test with a lot of widgets (but not all!) In case you still having problems post a list of widgets including in which slots are they installed.

Go to edit mode, keep pressed the widget to open the widget menu and select pinned. May I can do another widget Poy6BGbis then we can have 2 BG in the same screen. But then it has to be modified the order of slot1 in home.mode9 file

I only want to know what is this widget?
Thank you
Not much, just a free background to put where you like in the home screen, behind other widgets. Needs CHT2.0 to work.
poyensa Thanks for your kind reply
You really is a genius
I will continue to focus on all of your thread
Thanks Poyensa for sharing your genius with us all yet again! All of your widgets imo are simply amazing! I noticed you posted "It comes only in black color", so here's my small contribution.. I edited the 1E0E70D5_manila file to add different colors for others to use with different themes. I made them in blue, gray, green, red, and white. If there are any other colors anyone would like I'd be happy to edit it for you. Thanks again for sharing this with us poyensa!
In order for these to work you must have Poyensa CHTW_Poy6BG installed first. To get the desired color simply copy the 1E0E70D5_manila, from the zip, to your windows folder overwriting the original. Also contained in each zip is a png(preview) of the color
I have been testing this widget now, for a couple of days, and it really looks amazing^^
But I do have one issue, that I cant seem to get rid of. Everytime I restart my device, or sense, the widget shrinks to its original size before I transformed it in height. It is installed exactly as you told me, I checked all of it. Reinstallation didnt do anything.
thanks for the feedback Nordpol, i have also noticed that, and the change on height in all levels when it is changed in one. I will look on that deeper.

I ve tried to fix the small problems. Actualized the cab & the kitchen in post#1

So I decided to have a go at making all sliders Metro/WP7 style.
Maybe some people out there will appreciate this. I have also included my custom lock screen, which is just a modified version of the default Windows one.
All tabs have been modified as you can see from the screenshots.
Attached Files...
Metro Slider Icons - This is just for the main Sense tabs; Home, Email, Contacts etc etc.
Metro System Sliders - This is for all other sliders; Contacts, Clock, Footprints, Twitter, Media etc.
Lock Screen - The lock Screen. All files needed are in the cab. Please make sure you have any other lock screens removed before you install this. You need the default lock screen on for this to work.
Transparent Bottom Curtain - Makes Sense bottom curtain transparent (does not effect other system sliders).
Metro Blue Slider - Metro Blue Slider as requested (both sense slider and other system sliders).
Metro Slider Icons +Transparent Curtain - Same as default one but with a transparent bottom curtain.
Restore Stock LockScreen - Restores stock LockScreen
Slider Fix - Fixes verticle lines on some roms on the slider.
This works on my 1.72 Stock Rom, haven't tested it on any others. - Also works on Stock 3.14 Rom
Feedback, comments and pointers are very welcome!
They LOOK fantastic I think I have just found my new Slider.
One small request could you make the slider bar transparent?
Actually
Two small rquests could you also make the selector box around the slider icons blue. RGB 0,158,255 fits with the metro theme.
I have attached Grabs to show something similar, tho this theme is no where as complete as your. and I managed to edit the slider to my taste, but I don't think I could complete a full theme yet.
**
The welcome/lock screen is by Cendaryn
My edit to have the six icons on it, hope he dosen't mind to much.
What do you think. Trans slider and blue box. Hope you can, thanks in advance.
Very beautiful i like thx u by the way Artemis rom can run it?
hi, I tested the sliders and I report you some bugs:
-in almost all tabs I have the graphic bug you see in attached pic
-lack of new icons such as documents and programs tab
The tab is nice, hope theese bugs could be fixed and maybe get the slider bar transparent
I have attached 2 more cabs, 1 for transparency and another one for metro blue slider.

Thats a strange graphical bug, maybe the transparent bar will fix it?
If you can provide manila files of these missing tabs I can make update it to include those. I will also try and find these files on XDA, as I don't have those tabs myself.
I attach a Programs Tab standalone cab I found (disable sense-install,-soft reset-enable sense), if you need for tests.
and here's a thread about document tab.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614125&highlight=document+tab
Hope can help it, those tabs are both included in latest Artemis ROMs ,so I don't know if what I linked here works or is useful to you
EDIT: transparent cab does not work for me (manila 2.5.20) , could someone else report about this?
Fixed the transparency Cab, re-download and re-install. My bad on not converting the file to QTC.
Working on other tab icons.
Install this addon to see if those icons change now to suit. If they do I will then re-cab the complete file again.
how can i make the lockscreen work on my fuze

Strange, it should work no problems, cant test it myself.
Open the CPR file in notepad and edit the first line of text to suit, then you MIGHT need to rename the file as well to LS_LockScene_480x640.cpr
Not enitely sure if that would work. Remember to reboot your device.
/apologises if that's what you already tried!
ok when i do that it saves it as a text file
ok i got it finally lol

Can't say about programs tab cause I've not yet updated my ROM, so I have only documents tab at the moment, but if this work, it should also that one.
The slider looks great, nice work.
Now a question off topic: I'm using CHT 2.0 and like the metro look a lot.
I cant get the lockslider to look alike, can you help me?

I have been working on a couple of new battery widgets for CHT 2.0 and here is the first one. It is based on Poyensa's original text battery kitchen but with quite a bit of modification.
There are four layouts each giving a different text formatting option - UPPERlower, lowerUPPER, UPPERUPPER, lowerlower.
There is also the option to hide the 'percent' string, and to specify the color for each line of text through registry changes. The 'percent' string is enabled by default. To hide it use your registry editor and change HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.Percent.Visible to 0
The font used is named specifically for the widget so it is easy to substitute the font for your own and it won't affect anything else - just rename your font to duncTextBatteryFont.ttf and copy/overwrite to \Windows.
You can also specify colors for each line of text through reg edit. Default is white for each line. To change edit the following registry keys:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.ValueColor
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.PercentColor
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.ChargingColor
Values are RGB and need to be in this format - 255,255,255 - with no spaces.
If anyone is interested the colour code I used for the percent string in the screenshots is 0,185,255.
The widget background is dynamic so it will change height depending on how many lines of text are visible. If you want to remove the background then just install the 'Remove TextBattery background' cab or use CFCGUI to replace the background image with a transparency of your choosing (13d93430_manila)
There is also specific behaviour built in that dictates what lines of text show when fully charged, so if battery is at 100% and on charge all that will display is 'FULLYcharged' (percent hidden even if normally there), but if at 100% and not on charge then ONEhundred will show (with percent string if not hidden by reg edit).
Resizeable and pinnable.
Pressing on the widget will take you straight to the Battery & Backlight options screen.
Any questions please ask!
For those of you having an issue with the widget displaying as a white box I apologise - this is caused by the qtc image file not conforming to a recognised size. I have amended the qtc now and updated the widget cab and the Remove Background cab, but for anyone who has already installed the widget and has this issue just download and install the White Box Fix cab and restart Sense - should be OK then.
2/2/11 Charging color fix - the first and second versions of the widget cab had an issue where the Charging text color did not change regardless of the value set in the registry. This was due to one typo in the lua script (Tect instead of Text!). The widget cab now attached has the fix included, however if you have already installed then simply download and install the Charging Color Fix cab. Might need a Sense restart for the fix to take effect.
For anyone who wants them I have also attached the files for the Comm Switches (cab) and the softkeys used in the screenshots. In the softkey zip you'll find the ones I use as pngs to copy/paste into windows, the manila file for the menu background to do the same, and the psd template in case you want to make any of your own.
The icons down the left side of the screen are the page switch links and notification icons (mail and messages) that I made for BLUE SK-i. You can download the switch links cab and the BLUE SK-i skin for them in THIS post, but unfortunately I can't find the skin shown above for them anywhere (must have deleted them by mistake) so you'll need to use the psd template from there to remake them if you want this look.

I had this wallpaper kicking around for a while and really liked it but it needed some cool stuff to go with it, so I played around for quite a while and this is the end result! The theme cab updates:
Toggle switches (Airplane, Phone, Wifi, BT, Silent, Data, Vibrate, Restart Sense/Device - psd template in source zip)
CHT Softkeys (only the five shown - psd template in source zip)
Softkey background
Email and SMS widget skins
Music widget skin (from BLUE SK-i)
Page Indicators
hexClock Widget (in Post #2)
The Hex WP folder contains the 1440x800 main wallpaper, the 480x800 lockscreen wallpaper, and the 480x800 taskbar skin wallpaper.
In the source zip you'll find folders for each element of the theme including any photoshop psd templates you'll need to extend the softkeys and toggles, etc. You will also find a folder containing the icons for the Page Switch Link icons (down the left hand side of the screenshots) along with the template again for you to make your own.

hexClock Widget
OK, so to match the theme I wanted an equally cool clock so I created the hexClock. The inspiration came originally from the BobClock widget that a lot of the android themers are favouring at the moment, but I had also liked playing with rotation in the Vertical Weather widget I made so figured it would look good with the date rotated! And just to add a little extra I have written the widget so that a press on the Hour digits will access the World Clock page (or Clock app if specified in CHTE) and a pres on the Date element will access the Calendar screen (or Calendar app).
In addition to this so that you can use the clock with any theme I have made it fully user editable through the registry so you can specify seperate colors for Hours, Minutes, Weekday/Month and Date. Also, you can specify the opacity of the background - anything between 1 and 100%. DO NOT set this to 0 or you won't be able to move or resize the widget in Edit Mode. All reg keys are in HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila, and any changes made take effect instantly without the need for a restart.
If you want to skin the background the qtc filename is 09f43b82_manila, and if you want to substitute your own font then just select a standard ttf font and rename it dunchexclockfont.ttf, then copy/paste/overwrite to \Windows on your phone.
Enjoy

Your work is simply outstanding!Only one question?
Have you completed the work on vertical weather widget? It will look very elegant with hex theme!
Very good, thanks for your efforts.
Looking very good and different. I like it... He,he,he, now SK-i needs a Hex-Brother (cause this one is not SK-i based) so I can have three completly "different" ones based on SK-i for next ThemSwitching-TestRound
Congratulations on all your work amigo, and thanks in advance for what´s coming next

You need to make sure that in CHT Editor you have the Quicklink/Freelink snap to set to 1 pixel otherwise you'll never get them lined up. It is a pain in the arse to get them in exactly the right place - it takes ages - but the effect is great when you get it right

Follow the link in the first post to the Page Switch links in the BLUE SK-i thread. Install them, then use the Page Switch icons in the hex source zip.
I take it you figured out how to resize the quicklinks now - Edit Mode, longpress quicklink, smaller/bigger.
thanks for sharing bud, looks really nice !!
How did you get the am/pm transparent or how did you remove it? I cant even get em to change colors when I edit the reg.
Hi Guys,
Thanks to the great help of Dunc and Poyensa I now proudly present to you my BOB Clock Widget^^
This is sort of a Winmo Version of the original BOB Clock for Android. It has many costumization features which makes it a formidable addition to your homescreen

}
As you might already now since the SimClock Widget it is possible to integrate menus into Widgets. I did this for the BOB Clock, too.
Here is a short overview:
You will need to have JML Menu Sense v1.60 or higher installed. If not you will not be able to access the menu.
I have added color options for every single component, transparency for all, transparency for the background file (the background file is 75A997A3_manila but I left it blank. If you want of course you can edit it ),the possibility to make the date invisible, moving the minute digits in height, setting the font size for the minute digits and the possibility to choose the alignment for the minute digits Hopefully that gives you enough freedom to make it fit your homescreen
Here are some variations of what is possible :
With that all being said I hope you enjoy this Widget and if you do plz be polite and press the "Thanks Button"
reserved for future use
hehe first tk >:]

The font used isn't named Droid Sans, it is named npc_BOB_clockfont.ttf and should be located in \windows on your phone. It is actually a font called Accidental Presidency but renamed to make it easy to find and change specifically for this widget. Check that the font exists on your phone. Also, is your ROM language English (I know you are in the US but I have to ask)? That is the sort of error you get when a font doesn't contain the characters needed.

yes I know it isn't droid sans...I think the droid sans isfrom the original elegancia lock screen which I uninstalled. the reason why I even mentioned droid sans is because thats the font my bob clock is using.
yes I'm a englishrom user.
the bob clock font is in my windows folder....

You mean being able to select a specific language for the widget regardless of system language? This wouldn't be an option for this widget because the date info is taken straight from the system so will always be in whatever language the system is set to.

Hola Nordpolcamper, as discussed and agreed by PM, here my tests results for based on final released and not the beta
Install/Uninstall fine, configuration options, switching and behavior with other widgets OK.
Found issues/observations:
1) Clock Functions. Not available, meaning when tabing on clock, it ONLY opens JMLMenuSense and does not "lead" to config hour/alarm. Only way to set the time is through the use of either another widget or system
2) Background not beeing configurable - opacity not setable - "(the background file is 75A997A3_manila but I left it blank. If you want of course you can edit it )" Checked the file as well, and it was not blank, and even after editing file with different "filling", opacity of background was not editable. Remained "invisible" at all times regardless of settings...
3) MenuSense is beeing checked since some issues have been discovered, so please stay tuned for any changes here
4) XML: maybe you should reconsider using your own names also for xml header, since using the one provided can cause probs when creating "custom xmls" and the "original" clock...

Muchas gracias for having us test the widget
is there anybody interested to have a Picture Frame Widget for Co0kie Home Tab 2.0.0?

CHTwPictureFrame.v1.60 (Meltwater's version)
You can now show all pictures of one folder. It will be displayed only 5, but easily replaced with other 5 (orderly or randomly) when you wish ...
Changes:
- PNG files are now also supported (order of files loaded are jpg, then jpeg, then png)
- folders with no images will not raise an exception any more
- sub-folders are not supported yet (maybe later!)
- Resize option (enabled by default) speeds everything up!
- Use image height and width to increase resolution - independent of CHT sizing (so work out a balance between resolution and size)
- Resize option will also preserve aspect ratio of image
- Resize option will also allow sense to load faster
- Selectable colour for resize padding (default is Black = FFFFFFFF)
- Popup menu should now go (done by force!)
- New images should be reloaded (done by force! - may need more work)
- Default images moved to \Windows\CHTwPictureHandler
- To set a folder from the settings menu, locate the required folder and select a file within it (the file is ignored and removed later)
No doubt a few extra tweaks will be needed, but I am happy enough with it!
Just looked back through the thread...quite a story to get here, but we now have a widget!
***DOWNLOAD CHTw PICTURE FRAME v1.60 (MELTWATER's VERSION) HERE ***
Installation process:
Uninstall previous versions
be sure you have installed JMLMenuSense 1.60 or higher, if not install it in device
install CHtwPictureFrame.v1.60.cab in device
enable in CHT Menu> edit layout (main or lockscreen) > add new element > PictureFrame
By pressing on the picture you get access to the pop-up menu, where make quick changes and access to setting menu. Store the frames and the pictures where-ever you wish, device or SD. By default frames are searched in \SD\CHTtweaks\frames
Click to collapse
PREVIOUS VERSIONS:
EDIT: INITIAL RELEASE Ok i managed to get something, but still need some better code. Up to now CHTwPictureFrame can show 1 or 2 pictures, in png & jpg format, easily selectable by a simple file explorer; manually set width & height; chose frame in .png format; enable switch pictures and set switching time; CHTwPictureFrame is resizable and pinneable, and can be displayed in CHT Lockscreen.
UPDATE 12JUN: I have added 5 pictures to display to v1.00 so thats enough for me. In case somebody wants other features I also upload the kitchen. Feel free to edit, modify, sell, mirror, use, delete, or whatever want to do with the files, but always have fun!
As usual needs JMLMenuSense 1.60 (or higher) for the setting menu, otherwise you can do all the settings directly in the registry HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.PictureFrame.XXX
Compatible with CHTS2.25: please use this fix
I will try to add the option to show a few more pictures or even a full folder, and some other features, but really need some help with the Lua code because my knowledge is very limited. This widget is free and use is not compulsory, i have tested in my HD2 and works but it does not mean it will work in yours. Anyway if you are having any trouble and post it here i will try to help you as much as possible.
I hope you enjoy!
Installation process:

have any chance for Search Widget poy ?
I see U made a search widget in dropbox .but seems it was stoped and no developing anymore?
Yess oo yes
Why not, but please be carefull with the code, poy. You do a good job...
About the search widget. It is done by me, for my personal use.
But it needs more and more performance with all things. So i have
stopped the dev for that. Also we have a search widget allways in
sense. The search engine can be changed too. But so many people
and so many issues. And then these lot of PM's with questions....
I WILL have that...
no sorry. Pay for it and you will have it. It is my time. Only the nice
and friendly asking people will have things. No others anymore after
this strange mail from XDA. I am thinking to stop the whole thing here
on XDA and sell my know how. Ahh i forgot i have no KnowHow.
XDA means i use only online kitchens. Whatever that is.

strange things with CHT nowdays, but there is always a chance .... who knows the future?
BTW can you read a word in the picture frame widget? yes CHTwNotes is the base for this new widget. Just will add a frame (skinable of course) and the option to easily change the picture from \SD\DCIM\100MEDIA. I have tested .jpg files and they works all right as .png does ....
Yes Please.
Can we have the option to automatically cycle through pictures in the folder like a slide show?
