If you would like to see Dark Android ported to another ROM, I gladly accept requests and I will see if I or someone else can do so in a reasonable amount of time. I am currently in need of testers or developers to work with me to expand my testing abilities and content since I only have a few testers and am using my primary phone to develop and test on. If you would like to test or help in development, please email me at [email protected].
As always, I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone and all mods, including this theme and all others, have the possibility of damaging your phone. I will do my best to support my theme and assist with any errors that may be caused by this theme. Please read all instructions and entire thread before installing. Important information can be within the thread in user posts. Please remember that I do this as a hobby after my full time job so please allow adequate time for me to respond to a question or issue. Also, if you like my work and would like to help me continue my work, please donate.
To install Dark Android, download the package and follow the below instructions:
You should always backup your system before installing any ROM or theme.
Copy DarkAndroid.zip to your sdcard
Reboot into Bootstrap Recovery
Install zip from sdcard
Choose zip
Browse and select zip
Install zip
When complete, use back button or power button to back up
Reboot phone
There is also a goodies pack that contains lots of icons, wallpapers, LP docks, and alternate fonts as well as various themed market apps. To use the extra content in the goodies pack and market apps, download them into a folder on your sdcard.
The goodies pack should be extracted onto you sdcard
The icons can be applied using Launcher Pro, Desktop Visualizer, Folder Organizer, or one of the many other choices for icon customization.
The docks can be used with Launcher Pro.
The fonts are in flashable zips so once extracted, they can be flashed.
Of course, the wallpapers are applied the normal way using the gallery selection or other tool.
To install the market apps from your sdcard, remove the .zip extension and install like any other app. (You must remove any existing version of the app prior to installing)
For more information about how to use Launcher Pro to modify your dock and icons, check out their user guide here.

First and foremost...
Thanks to noobnl, Whosdaman, and Firon for getting this out and workable.
NOTICE!!!
These Froyo roms are BETA because the official release has not yet been made. You flash this at your own risk, and cannot hold me responsible for anything you do to your phone. You can try if you'd like, of course, but I will simply laugh at you.
I would like to give credit where due, so this rom is based off the 4.2 release found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836111). I've added quite a few changes myself, and will have changes in the changelog, along with screenshots to show you what you're working with.
But first...
A few pointers...
--MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ROM!!!!!
--Save any apk's you'd like on your sd card before installing.
--Make sure your battery is at 100%. (Flashing kills battery fast)
--WIPE data at least 3 times to be safe.
--Choose "Install zip from sdcard", then "Choose zip from sdcard". Or something along those lines.
FEATURES!
--Based on 4.2 leak (2.2)
--Deodexed for your convenience
--Pre-rooted also for your convenience
--Zipaligned (Yeah, you guessed it)
--Added Root Explorer
--Added Mini Info (Has a VERY useful widget)
--Removed Sprint Bloatware (Minus the Hotspot and TV by request from a few)
--Fixed Browser.
--Added XDA App (to keep up to date of course lol)
If you would like any of the apk's without having to download another complete rom, let me know and i will put a zip up with all i've taken out.
At this point, the biggest issue I've had was that the browser was laggy, and checkerboarding. But I've resolved this issue. You can also download Opera Mobile which in my opinion, is more convenient. If you don't like this browser, I also recommend "DolphinHD".
With that said, I'm releasing 2 versions of this ROM. Version 1.0.1, and 1.0.1a. In version 1.0.1, the shutdown screen (and only shutdown, incase your around someone you don't want to see during boot) is adult material. As per regulations, there is NO nudity, and if it is found offensive, please, let me know and i will remove it.
Version two is just the stock shutdown screen.
Remember To Wipe 3 Times!!!

Also, here's a few Icon Packs i've created to go with the launcher pro

Changelog
--Based on 4.2 leak.
--Added APK's for optimizing performance
--Removed APK's that were IMO useless.
--Fixed Browser.
--Added Root Explorer
--Added Mini Info
--Removed Sprint Bloatware
--Added XDA Apk
--Changed colors, layout to make it more crisp, nice looking.
--Added Spare Parts, SetCPU, Overclock Widget, and SGSToolbox (Open Root Explorer, navigate to "system", then "apps" then i created a folder in there named "uninstalled apps" with these included in.)
Here are some screenshots to show you what it is before you download...

Wait for 1.0.1a?
edit- Reread the post, question answered. Flashing right away thanks!
Wow. Running flawless.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Nice!!! Will try this.
isn't setcpu and root explorer paid apps and by including them in a rom essentially warez?
Wow, I actually really like this. Thanks!!! Very sexy looking setup.
Thread closed and links removed due to inclusion of paid apps, ie. warez.

First off, I want to start with saying that I am not the developer of ANY of the items I am posting, nor did I contribute in any way to anything I am posting. I simply gathered everything and set it up in a way to make it look like you had Sense installed.
This thread is being created in case there are people out there like myself, who really enjoy the Sense look, but don't like the bloat on Sense Roms. This was put together on Cyanogen Nightly 143, but should potentially work on any Rom that has the Theme Chooser application. The following files/apps will make it look like you have HTC Sense (Not the fancy new 3.0) installed.

LINKS..
NTSense - This will change multiple things to look like HTC Sense. Icons, statusbars, etc. Install this .APK file and then go into your "Theme Chooser" and find NTSense in there, and apply it. It may give you some nonsense about missing screen dimensions, this isn't an issue, apply it anyways. (Credits - nhnt11)
LP Sense UI - This is a customize Launcher Pro that will alter your dock to look like the HTC Sense dock. It is a standalone version of Launcher Pro, so you do NOT need to have any Launcher Pro installed before hand, simply install this .APK file and hit the Home button and select the Launcher. Check it to use that one automatically to get rid of that message. When I installed this the first time, my dock was completely messed up. There were gaps between the dock and it looked awful. To fix this - Hit the menu key, preferences, scroll to the bottom and restart the Launcher. It should be fixed after this. Alternatively, density changing apps could potentially make this look weird, I'm not entirely sure, but something to think about. (Credits - Rang3r/Fede)
HTC Clock - This is a THEME for Fancy Widget. I believe you have to have to have the full version of FW for this to work properly. Download the file, unzip it (Don't try to flash it..) and then you will find two items in there. Once Fancy Widget is installed on your phone, it creates a Fancy Widget Theme folder on your SD Card. Open this folder, drag those two files to there respected places. One is the actual clock theme and the other is the weather theme. (Not sure who to credit here. A member on the forums gave me this theme, but I don't know if he is the developer or if he wants to be mentioned)
Widget Locker - This is not a necessary part, but if you want a full Sense feel, this helps. This is going to replace the stock lock screen on Cyanogen. It has all sorts of options on it. You can add widgets to it, custom sliders, etc. There is a preset for the HTC unlock bar. Once installed, you can open the application and figure out pretty quickly how to set it up. Set the Customer Slider theme to Sense and then add the slider. (Credits - TeslaCoil Software)
The end. If you guys have any questions/comments, feel free to post them. Hopefully somebody finds this even remotely interesting.

Google has begun rolling out version 5.0.31 of the Play Store that includes a visual overhaul with Material Design and some new layouts. The update leaked out a few weeks back and marked a significant, but welcome, change in the Google Play Store. It’s also an indicator that the launch of Android L is growing closer, as more and more apps continue to get updated to support the new Material Design standard. Google Play Store Material Design Screenshot
The Google Play Store now entirely follows Material Design with smooth animations, revised colors and larger, cleaner visuals. The icon has also been redone with a new design featuring shadows and the depth that we’ve come to know with Material Design. In terms of layout changes, the What’s New section has moved back up to the top of the description box and is highlighted in green. Aside from that, most things are the same aside from a refreshed design
Version: 5.0.31
How To Update:
Go to Play Store>Settings>Build Version(Select Twice)
Or Update Manually

What can we do with the modded version guys?
Hi mates:
I have a Nexus 5 Android 4.4.4 I have downloaded this apk several times. Though it downloads fine, when it is installing, I cannot select the install button. The only option I am left with is the cancel button. I tried to download the file from my device and given that it failed, I tried to install Google Play Store 5.0.31 apk through Airdroid. Moreover, I tried to install it from Install from storage option but, the apk file is greyed. None of these options worked. The unknown sources option is checked, so I reckon this is not the issue.
I would appreciate if somebody my give me pointers towards a promptly solution.
Kindest regards.

1.Can use app protected with Google LVL (License Verification Library) without cracking
2.Verify license in offline mode
3.No need to patch with Lucky patcher any more
4.Can NOT download paid apps for FREE!
5.Disable self update
6.Not works with Billing and License Verification to Proxy
7.Button ‘Refund’ reworked! (When you press ‘Refund’ button, it refunds and does not uninstall the app. No need to make a backup before refund)
this is what modded google play can do
Ugoos team launched a new chapter of building common Android TV Box launcher, which can be a better alternative for Your device.
Standard TV Box launchers are not so suitable to use it with RC and different air mouses. Ugoos Launcher main target is to be a strong alternative for TV boxes with different Remote Controllers.
Right Ugoos Launcher version 1.3 is available in Play Market
Here is a new 1.4.4 BETA version for manual install

New features and improvements:
Launcher settings gave ability to add, create, delete and rename groups, but several of them (All apps, Options) users cannot delete, in order not get rid of all apps.
Added ability to change category order and made one of category’s app as “Main app”
Weather temperature indication was added in upper bar and it’s customization was added in Launcher options
Theme manager was with dozens of different color schemas and custom icons for categories
Please help us to make this launcher better and user-friendly for a wide range of users

I really wanted to check it out, but it just crashes on my box. Won't open even once. I have noticed that a lot of launchers do this, though.

Displaying apps on one raw
Hi,
Is there any option to display the apps of the selected section on only one row (in stead of spreading them on all the screen)?
This could be useful, especially on TV, when a movie or an image is already on the screen. This way, we don't hide all the screen with the app shortcuts.
Of course, this supposes that it is possible to show the launcher over an already running image (or movie) like the android tv launcher does when we hit the home button.
I tried your ugoos launcer and its good. I however settled with tv2 launcher. Reason being that tv2 launcher let me save the settings and then copy those settings to another box and import everything in few clicks. I don't have to do everything manually again and again. BUT Ugoos is still my 2nd backup option. Can become number 1 option if it has the import settings option.
I have some other ideas also..
please add recent app option
thank you!
why does there have to be a white background behind the icons ?? Background for icons would look much better being transparent. Also the launcher is supposed to automatically put apps in different categories but it does not do this at all. For example I have the chrome browser app but launcher does not put it in the internet category etc etc. For these reasons I will not be using it at all. Thanks
I just use Microsoft launcher. Seems to work fine
