Hi Guys,
New owner of a desire HD here, loving it so far
I'm looking for a flip case, same idea as the Noreve in this thread.
I'd like something not too bulky, and ideally a leather/faux-leather texture (again, like the noreve)
What can you guys reccomend, go for the noreve or would there be anything else to consider?
Cheers in advance
Just got one of these ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400182232785&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:GB:1123 ... *Seems* genuine leather - but I believe even the new leather smell can be faked! Does what I want though. Only critcismj is that the top part across the front of the phone obscures the notification bar a little. But I hardly use this anyway so not a great problem for me.
Arrived very quickly as well.

Yeah, you can't really pull the notification bar down but I would rather have the speaker well clear. It's only 2 key presses to get there anyway and it's great for standing up at various angles to watch video, use on car dash etc. Hey for 6 quid this has to be a great bargain .
You should really try Piel Frama iMagnum case for your dhd. It is really high quality, and more protective than Noreve case. It's a little bulkier, but worth it.

Well I solved the problem with notification bar easily: mapped a swipe action for pulling that out on app drawer button (Launcher Pro).

I've got the same case but from another store It's good but yes, it hides part of the notification bar and't it's a little tricky to drag it down. Still, it's a good case.
I recommend this case to you guy...

not yet, but yes they do look really good.
we have sooo many choices for silicon style cases, that is a good thing
I have this one:
iTALKonline ProGel BLACK Super Hydro Gel Protective Armour
(look in amazon.co.uk, it seems I still can't post outside links)
I like it but the side buttons are a really hard to press. Almost impossible to adjust the volume with one hand while on the phone.
Now the first one you posted looks really nice. It seems to cover the side buttons as well but I like it.
http://mobile.brando.com/samsung-i9000-galaxy-s-jelly-soft-plastic-case_p05570c1355d011.html
This one is great, I have a transparent one.
i've seen those on ebay, we have a link of that on the Case topic
Just don't buy these cheap case. Side buttons are not usable, it's just waste of money. It's better to add a 10£ extra and get a quality one.

Hi I am currently awaiting delivery for my DHD (and it could be a week or two).
I am wondering if anyone who owns a Silicone case - or something similar, and has found a case that allows for the phone to sit flat on a table surface to allow for one handed use. With the camera design set out from the main body I am hoping the case would come up to this level preventing rocking action.
Does the phone rock around on a table when used without a case or is it bearable?
I will then add a screen protector perhaps a Zagg product or similar.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Si
mine is currently cases-less, and does rock around when it on the table. however, placing a little phone sock under the phone is good at reducing the rocking, but i cant find one big enough to fit the phone in yet.
still looking for a good case, but it seems 3rd parties are being slow with this phone.
I'm needing a case or something like a bumper for my DHD.
I've had it 3 weeks and dropped it twice on to hard surfaces, got 2 small scratches and a small dent at the power button (since the button was flush with the case to start with, its actually made it a bit better!! LOL)
but my luck won't last too much longer so I need to protect it...
any ideas??

I was thinking of using a phone sock to help keep it protected, the problem is having to slide the phone out every time i want to use it, id end up just leaving it somewhere. But keeping it steady with one is a good idea - but overall I'm looking for something more protective, good looking and will prevent the rocking.
I'm normally quite good with not dropping my phones, but a bumper or silicone case would be a must with a screen this size...don't really want to scratch or dent it (even if it has its upsides ;D ).
I'll keep looking, the annoying thing is that all the silicone ones I have found only have front or back on photos, not from the side...which is obviously important to check the level in relation to the camera area.
Cheers
Si
Was browsing through Google products and found this new one on Play, looks really cool not as dull and uninspired as the average silicone protector. I don't know again if it will help the issue with the raised camera, but I am still really interested.

I bought one of these and it does what it says on the tim. Protects the back and sides while offering unfettered access to the screen. It helps with the grip too, so I'm less likely to drop it (eek!)
Just so you know, the following case does have a slight wobble to it left and right when typing whilst on a flat surface. Not loads, but a wobble is there!

Yeah it looks good, nice to know its tougher than silicone, but unless it solves the rocking issue - I still prefer the one I found on Play...just because its cool looking.
but if you give it a go, let us know how well it performs and fits.
Well tbh I'm leaning toward the black one too but this TPU thing caught my attention and I was wondering if anyone has it

I don't think anyone should have it yet since HTC haven't released it.
I ordered it from handtec before but they say they will get it at the end of the month so I canceled mine.

It's not a cutout for the powerbutton.
It's for the 3.5 headphonejack.

think you will find it is for the power button the 3.5mm jack is on the bottom in the long oval cut out

To be honest, I don't think the picture shown is even the actual product. There is no hole for the speaker and the whole is definitely for the 3.5mm jack. (you can see the power button raised on the upper right corner). Since the case is not released yet, this is quite possible.
I've got this one too...
As CD993 says it does wobble, but only marginally... this is a TOUCH screen after all, you don't need to press very hard for it to respond!
The fact it's nearly £10 cheaper than the official HTC one (and yes, the image is wrong or else it's not going to have enough cutouts on the back!) is good enough for me!

WTF is the matter with posting links btw? At what point does this 'privilege' begin?
It's TOO TIGHT! Yes, it fits on the phone without a problem BUT the button inside of it that is used to press on the power button pushes all the time, causing the phone to reboot.
I've got it sitting on the dash of my truck today to warm up a little, maybe it will stretch then and I will try it while it's warm.
If not, I may have to alter it a little by cutting out the nub that's inside of the button section of the case.
weird... Im using a smoke argyle TPU case for the vibrant on my SGS4G with perfect fitment. and it looks super cool with the shimmering backplate.
Works fine now that I let it sit in the sun a few hours!

Perhaps Gel case was the wrong name for it... Not sure... it may be TPU...
If you go into the T-Mobile store it's somewhat of a rasberry color up top then fading down to black at the bottom.
Had the same problem with mine. Even my friend who is a manager at the T-Mobile store said that the raspberry cover had that issue. I liked the cover so I'm going to try and trim that area down a bit on the inside.
Let me know how it turns out. I ended up taking the case off because I was worried about wearing out the power button. I couldn't even tell it was pushing in when I had the case on.
Yea I'll stick to my bodyglove kickstand case. My wife has one of those skins/shells and I can't stand it as I can't touch the edge of the screen.

The clear one or the black/chrome one?

I bought my Galaxy S 4G today and also bought the black gel case because on the packaging it said "Galaxy S 4G". So dummy me thought it was different then The vibrant, but it is'nt. They are the same. I dont have the problem you do with the case being tight with either one.

The clear one with the black sides. I had one on my Vibrant and loved it, especially for showing off phone skins from skinit.com and for propping it up as my alarm clock at night (thank you Screen Filter and Lightning Bug )

I went into the store and exchanged the raspberry case for the one you mentioned - I love how it feels in my hand!
Glad you like it! It does feel good and the best part imo (like i said before) it doesn't block the screen edges at all.
Yesterday i bought the official DHD case from a HTC Outlet and my am i amazed,
Its sleek and amazing.
Best 10£ ive ever spent XD, but im looking for a stylus for it , where can i get one?
Why would you want to use a stylus with a DHD? Its big enough to use with the thickest of fingers
only reason is im a keen drawer and i have things like Sketchbook mobile etc on it, and for a drawing to look really good , precision is the best thing i can get for it, my fingers are thin but really get in the way if you want fine detail,
but granted you do have a point
I have the official HTC DHD case but got sick of taking the phone out of it all the time, luckily my bro bought me the Case-Mate Tough which is a lot less hassle.

I see, well there is that HTC capacitive screen stylus from when the HD2 came out which the last time I looked was on expansys.com probably get it cheaper elsewhere though.
This is it but its just like using your finger as you can see.

I have one of the pogo sketch which I used for my ipod touch, but drawing on autodesk sketchbook with my DHD was a problem because some how the screen doesn't detect my stoke as a single line (ie. it was broken down into few segments) and it is impossible to use it.
Hi,
I bought the same case - it's great! I don't use it all the time, only when I know the DHD needs protection from things like my keys.
I've tried silicon cases and those slimmer cases but nothing is quite as nice as the "naked" DHD
Purchased the same case a day after I got my HD - been an absolute life saver, only issues is it does get lose after months of use... be careful whipping your phone out of your pocket!
I have been using mine for about a month now (maybe more?) and it is still a good fit. The cardboard that stiffens the case has gotten a bit softer so the case flexes a fair bit more than it used to, but this hasn't impacted on the performance of the case.
Still a great buy!
They have redesigned the Minisuit and the Poetic 2 piece cases and put the cutouts in the right spots. Of the two, I grabbed the Minisuit, since I have had both for the Prime, and there were almost identical - granted the Poetic is a TINY bit better, but nothing substantial. They are both "PU Leather" (look it up on Wiki - Modern technology permits up to three or four horizontal layers being taken from a single hide. The leather used in the backing of bicast or PU Leather is a thin layer, remaining after other layers have been removed for traditional leather work They actually have to dye a leather pattern back onto it for lighter colors, this is why I avoid the browns, even if they look... okay, they are not very natural real looking.
After this they coat this thin, THIN split leather with a layer of polyurethane applied to the surface and then embossed (to have a texture)
For the money? Its damn nice, feels super soft, shines beautifully (try Pledge, which list leather as one of its applications- shines really nice)
Anyway the MiniSuit is $11.95
http://www.amazon.com/MiniSuit-Tran...words=minisuit+case+asus+transformer+infinity
And the Poetic is 18.95
http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Transf...words=minisuit+case+asus+transformer+infinity
- At these prices, you can't go very wrong, and they do protect your tablet and dock. They do make it thick as a big phone book though, LOL! I usually only "sheath" my Infinity when traveling or taking it outside the house.
I received my Poetic today from Amazon. As the previous poster stated when closed out its thick as a phonebook. However, for 18+ bucks this is a very nice case.

Just ordered the poetic case for $18,95
It seems nice and practical. Have to protect our baby
Can't understand why it is taking them until the 22 october to have it shipped to sweden.......
I was wondering if something like this existed. Last time I looked at the thread, I didn't noticed what I was looking for but this time I did.
I want the Dock easily removable, so I can, say, leave it in the car to be charged as I am running around on foot, using hte tablet in standalone mode only. I seems like either of these cases do exactly that, with what seems simple snaps that hold the dock part to the rest of the case.
Question - what exactly is the difference between the MiniSuit and the Poetic?

Ok so i got the Poetic delivered by mail today 6 days from US to Sweden, that was faster than i expected!!
Actualy you can snap off the keybord and that is easy with 2 simple snaps.
The drawback with that is that you loose a good method of closing it if you drop it, there should be some easy snapping for closing it.
I will attach that function by my self as it should be easy to do. and half the solution is in place already from where the keybord dock snappers are in place. Yes the Poetic case brings a little extra weight but on the other hand it protects the pad quite nice i think, and it looks good!
SD-Card can be reached aswell as USB, MicroSD, charging and camera. The keybord dock was not easy to fit in because the strappers are in the way, so i simply didn't attach them they aren't realy needed. I use the snappers only when i detach the keybord from the tablet and want to hold it in place.
Sorry for my english, but i hope you understand what i mean.
Best regards
Mackis
