Sprint USB Tether Mac Setup Configurations - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I have an HTC Evo rooted running myns warm two point two. The USB phone as modem function is re-enabled by myn but I can't seem to get it to work with my macbook.
The macbook recognizes it fine but then asks me for information such as phone number, username and password. Does anyone know what these would be for sprint pcs?
Attached is a pic of the network configuration screen

i was also looking to use wired tether to take advange of the 4g speeds from my phone to my MAC. I know with wifi hotspot hacked and wifi tether ... they only support 3g. The only way to get 4g is with the wired tether application.
now i am confused on how to setup when it is asking for username, password , etc
can anyone assist with this?

Touch Pro 2 stealth tethering through wifi...

Recently I downloaded the Tom Codon cab for the wifi router to my phone. The router works great, but I'm wondering if i need to change any registry settings so that Sprint doesn't recongnize that I'm using the wifi router. I know there are registry tweaks for using the phone as a modem through the usb cable, but will Sprint be able to see that im using the Wifi from Tom Codon?
i came here to ask this exact question so please if anybody knows the answer, please share.
I am guessing that if you have stealth tethering, it works on the WiFi router too. This is just a guess, but...
#1: WiFi Router asks if you want to use "My Connection" or "Phone as Modem" when you launch it. I am guessing the "My Connection" is probably stealth.
#2: Tethering doesn't even work on Sprint phones (at least not the Touch Pro 2) anymore unless you have the stealth tethering enabled. It's not like Sprint is charging extra for tethering, they just flat out killed it. So if it works at all, I'm guessing it's in stealth mode.
Like I said, I don't work for Sprint so I don't really have any way to know for sure, but it seems pretty likely to me. If anyone knows for sure though, I would love to know the real deal.
On the telus systems I have a registry crack and a ICS (internet connection sharing) installed on my phone. When I plug it in, i let the phone automatically activate activesync, then turn on ICS. ICS disables activesync and then allows you to connect to your network. Once connected the phone and the computer are tethered and the phone provider can't tell.
I played 99meg worth of sirius satalite radio on my pc using my phone as my modem. Worked great.

Reverse Tether

I didn't know whether to put this in the "Android Software Development" forum or this one but does anyone know of an app that can preform reverse tether (with the help of tweaking the computers network) via USB and at the same time tether via WiFi.
ie: The phone will use the computer's internet via USB and then allow other devices to connect to the phone via WiFi and use the original computers internet. Basically turning the phone into a mini-router.
I don't know if this would even be possible. Seems like there would be a lot of data clutter. But I have seen apps out there that can preform reverse tether via WiFi on an ad hoc network.
I assume that if I can get at least the USB reverse tethering to work. I'd be able to use Froyo's built in WiFi tethering also assuming it uses the computers network and not default to 3G.
And the reason for even needing this app?
Is because 20Mbs > 3Mbs.

Why use the phone for this?
I don't know how to get it to work but on Android in a vm it says on the Android that the internet is being tethered to it through Ethernet I don't know If its an app ill take a screen shot later

USB Tether settings for Mac OS X?

Power is out at our house, seems to go out ever once in a while, whole entire neighborhood. Looking to get USB tethering up and going on Mac Os X with 4G Lte but it is asking for modem settings, apn, and account number, password. Anyone get USB tethering up and running on mac os x with the default samsung tethering application?
Ur better off using the wifi tethering and just charging the phone off the USB port, this will work better without having to set all that up
I would like to know also as I am not getting the same speeds when I am using the portable wi-fi hotspot option. When I do a speedtest on my phone Im getting like 12 MB/s download on 4G LTE. However when connected via hotspot, my mac laptop only gets like 2 MB/s. Just wondering if usb tether would get higher speeds.
I tried adding the device as a modem in the network preferences on my mac but could not get it to work. Not sure if I have the right settings.

[Q] Problems with RDP through Droid Bionic Verizon WIFI Hotspot and VPN

I am trying to use my Driod Bionic to get to my work dekstop. This is what I am doing. I am firing up the wifi hotspot (paid through Verizon) and connecting my laptop to that. I verify that it has internet access. Next I open my Cisco VPN client and connect to my work network (I get proper IP address, DNS servers and search domain). When I open remote desktop and try to get to my work PC (or any other pc/server) it times out.
We also have a Veriaon MiFi and I do the exact same thing and it works flawlessly. It seems to be related to the phone. I also have a co-worker trying to do the same thing with an iPhone and having the same result.
It appears to be something in the phone blocking traffic. Has anyone else had this problem and got it to work? When I call Verizon they say they don't support it past connecting to the VPN. Another agent toled me I need to get an app to ebable the RDP passthrough.
Thanks a million!

IP address when sharing internet with laptop

I use need to use my phone to get my laptop online a lot. I had the Epic for two years, and rooted that so I could use the wireless tether. I have not rooted my Q LTE yet. Most of the time I don't care how the connection sets up my IP. However, I do have times when I need my laptop to be online and on a wired network connection simultaneously. When I tried to do that recently using Easy Tether, I kicked my IP for the laptop out of the 192.168.1.X range that I needs for the wired network. Anyone have advice on an app that will not bump my IP outside that? I tried FoxFi and can't get that to even work right (heard something about a known bug).
